I think you're onto something, but they should be pink panties! Then, when you put them on you get angel wings.... that lift you up into the clouds and off the map... then you can hang around with the rest of the angels up there and eat cake and play harps! When you get tired of that you can take them off and come back down to the map and play DayZ! :-) Does this suggestion have to have it's own thread or is it okay here? I really think this would take care of the PvP vs. PvE issue. -

add in "My Little Ponies" as vehicles as well... Only two ponies "with wings" per server please! "My little ponies" shouldn't be able to crash inton one another either, that'd cause PvP. We must maintain a balance to the game while also remaining true to it's spirit! ;-)

Top 3 reasons why to add this to the game! 1. Did you just signal "Go Here or Move Up"? Nah, I was just fanning away a fart... 2. Okay, I just mapped every key on my keyboard to a the hand signals... now.... how to move... 3. "AWESOME!!!!! I just looted a chart that shows all of hand signals and what they mean..." Okay now, that signal was.... Hold on, opening my chart! "This is so cool!" That was.... (BANG, you're dead) ... a sniper is aiming at me... Great, now I have to find that chart in game again...

Romeo Foxtrot, Contrary to your thoughts I think the blurring and fading can remain in the game, but stjill give me those bars in the inventory screen(as a server option). -

I'm hearing that you have experience in development, but perhaps Rocket and his team are developing the game in the way they want and in a way that is atypical from the standards you've been exposed to in development. I think Rocket is probably a more go with the flow type on the development side and he already had a "hard deadline" disaster. So, it seems natural that he's shying away from hard deadlines... You're also guessing that there aren't internal hard deadlines... Maybe they have them and don't want them exposed to the public for obvious reasons. -

I'm not opposed to zombies running. They run now and I'm fine with that. They all have different paces and I think that is best. If the zombies are going to beat down the door, I hope it's more like Left for Dead style. Maybe DayZ should be DayI then. Zombies are reanimated dead not Infected. ;-)

I haven't killed anyone in SA yet... I've met many friendly players. I think I've only been killed once in game by another player(fresh spawn), maybe twice if I got killed the first day. I play about every day for a few hours for a total of 32 hours. Since I haven't killed anyone in game, I'm kinda the opposite of KOS... -
Um, I have all four guns on my character and a axe on my back... 1. A weapon in you hands does not get wiped. When you log back in it will be the bottom item on your inventory slots on the right, drag it back to your hands... If you pick up or put anything else in your hands that weapon will drop to the floor allowing you to pick it up from there. I keep the M4 in my hands, the axe and mosin on my back... and the two pistols in my vest. The 10 slot "300 Round" ammo box for the win.

28 days later... no. Those aren't even really zombies... it is a disease they get.. a rage virus. When they die, they are dead. zombies are dead tissue reanimated somehow... How are dead rotten muscle fibers going to be able to out perform living connected tissue... It is just not going to happen. DayZ should be working toward Walking Dead style zombies... yes, you can out run them easily... they don't get tired though. Zombies in mass are the danger... a sole zombie should not be seen as too large a threat.

then why: -is the Mosin way more accurate than the M4? Well, the Mosin is 8.8 lbs and about 48.5 inches long while the M4 is only 6.36 lbs and about 33 inches long... More weight = more inertia, hence more stability... it's way longer so it's more apparent that you have it pointed in the approximate direction or not...

I say take 100 random people from the street, a random sampling including soccer moms and have them go shooting down the range... I think you'll find the spread worse that what your depicting here. Low accuracy, I say good... that will force encounters to be up close and personal.

I think those three options are good! Cannabalism should effect a person's physical appearance... Having a shopping cart or comparable item to push around could be interesting.

Yeah, scarcity = violence. I do think many items could be more rare though, but I don't think we should even be talking about item balancing until the Beta... 1. We need to try the gear right now and test for bugs. More gear means more testing especially as crafting is increased. We can't test stuff if it isn't around. 2. New gear is being added all of the time... we can't truly balance it until we have everything in place. As new items are brought in everything would be thrown "out of whack" and we'd have to do it over and over, very redundant.

Why stop with pens writing on paper? You should be able to write them on anything. Add some rotten fruit to a canteen(to poison it)... write something on all of your canteens so you can tell them apart... All gear could have things written on them... might give all of the gear a little more "personality". I like the idea of poisoning some blood, water, and or food on me. So when they loot my corpse and make a wrong choice they may regret it. ;-) I could even label my items "1", "2", "3", etc... and if I know "2" is poisoned... I'll not drink that one. Maybe I'll even label some AB blood as O+... ;-) Basically, when you inspect any item and bring it up to full screen, there could be a message box below the item telling you what, if anything, is written on it... it could be useful in many ways. -

I'm totally against money... Money doesn't make sense in a apocalypse... Paper money has no value. It only has value if people give it value. Nobody is going to agree to giving paper value in that environment. The items themselves are the "money" as they are valued and trade-able. So there is a money / trade system... I have this, you have that... let's trade. I want 4 beans for that pistol... it's rare... In the apocalypse... I have this five "dollar" note here that says it's worth about 3 cans of beans, will you give them to me? That piece of paper is useless to me, keep that because all it is worth is wiping your butt... furthermore, stick your hands up because you have some actual stuff that I like and I have a gun. If you want... get some pieces of paper and a pen.... then write some amounts on the piece of paper and try trading that for some stuff... let's see how that works for you... -
My suggestion is NOT to have them as I'm sure they are already planned. My suggestion is to move them up on the development time frame. I think they are important and should be implemented ASAP. There should be a 5 minute, 2 minute, and 1 minute warning at least, and there could be 1 and 2 hour warnings as well. When I'm dropping items and moving things around I'm always worried the server is going to reset.

I like the whole mechanic of the body, decomposition, and burial... I'm still of the opinion that servers should have the 3rd person option though.

One issue would be if your usual server goes down, or if it is having a laggy night and you get sick of it and want to play somewhere else. What if each server you played on have a unique character?

"So, at this exact moment, death has little to no meaning." Speak for yourself... My character has been alive for about 6 days and I'm still gearing up and having fun. I don't want to die! "Die, spawn on coast, run around, geared again." I don't think it is that easy or quick to get healthy and geared... I've been looting military spawns for days and I'm still finding upgrades.
