  1. Hello, hopefully you take the time to read my post, if not, I truly have no reason whatsoever to acknowledge whatever troll response you decide to post. That being said, let me get these few arguments out of the way It is an alpha - You didn't pay for the game - Arma 2 engine is trusting - Battle Eye is not at fault - Don't blame BI or Rocket - QQ moar - U R JUST BAD Alrighty then. Now to the point of my post. As you are all aware, hacking has become absolutely rampant in this mod, so much now that every single server I have played on for more than half an hour in the last several days (perhaps week) have had hackers, or more specifically, "script-kiddies" on them. This has lead to so many deaths that I have lost count. Whether it be by mass teleport to a free-for-all where the hacker always wins, an invisible douche shooting me and all my friends, my fresh spawn being teleported into the woods on a road and sniped, being killed by hacked guns, god mode players, aimbot snipers, or even just nuking the entire server which effectively destroys every person, vehicle, and tent on it, a hacker has killed me on every single one of the servers I have played on. I know some of you may be thinking I am exaggerating, which is fine, because even if I was, the fact would remain that me and my group have only been killed by other legitimate players about 4 times in the last several days, and every other time we have died to a script kiddie. Now, I know what you are thinking, "don't get attached to your gear, its fun to start over, blah blah" but seriously now...we all know this is a bullshit argument. The problem with the amount of hackers for ME PERSONALLY is not that I lose gear. Hell, I tend to FIND most of the high end gear off of hackers, or players that have found the gear off of hackers that I kill. Once 30 NVGs spawn in a server due to a hacker, they are circulated til restart, spread to other servers, and so on. I do not give half of my last toasty shit that I lose good gear. I do care that the current state of hacking in the game makes it unplayable. What I mean by that is this, I enjoy playing with groups. I am not a bandit, and so other than shooting zombies in the head until I run out of ammo, I am forced to rely on creativity in order to enjoy this mod. That's fine, and under normal conditions, I would. Unfortunately, it is literally impossible to work towards ANY goal that takes more than an hour or two in this game. If we are lucky, we can find a vehicle or two, fix it up, and drive it for about 45 minutes before something ends our fun...namely a script-kiddie. Last night we drove two vehicles across a field, one jeep (I believe it is a military UAZ) and some hippie-dippie bus. Twas fun. Then, all 4 of us in the jeep were killed, they headshotted me, the driver, going 45 and swerving within 2 shots. They then continued on to kill each person within 3 seconds. I counted. The second car full of people got the same treatment. One person alt f4d out to save himself. He flanked the hacker on a different server, came back, and was literally sniped the minute he came in. The night before, I was in NWA with a small group. We were loaded up on guns and ready to go for a car, when suddenly, BOOM...the entire server gets carpet bombed, we all died, and lost all of our things. I have been teleported to NWA or the tower in cherno so many times I stopped counting in the last several days. MY FRIENDS AND I CONSIDER THIS TO BE THE BEST OF ALL THE HACKS, BECAUSE IT IS THE ONE WHERE WE CAN POSSIBLY AVOID DEATH....we somtimes alt f4 and log back in 30 minutes later and end up with some loot. If the fact that getting hacked is seen as a partially good thing does not set off some alarms, what the hell will? We even fought a guy who was spawning in gillies and thermal snipers for himself in Elektro. I killed him once. It was more fun than I had had in the game for a while, because it was the only real challenge I had in a long time. The only players I come across anymore are poorly armed new spawns or hackers with godmode. There is no middleground anymore. There is no way to work towards a goal and make progress. There is no fun in a game where you can only play for 3 hours tops before losing EVERYTHING and starting over AGAIN almost as if it is scheduled...hell, even if you log out with progress made, anything server dependent could very easily be erased , as all it takes is one nuke to ruin everything you had on that server. Until the game becomes stable, I refuse to play it. It is complete bullshit that a mod that is supposed to be coming out in THIS YEAR as a stand alone game could actually be in this poor of a state. How does rocket or the dev team expect to inspire any kind of confidence in their game when it has five months, and that is being generous, to become a secure, relatively bug free game? This is not an alpha. Alphas are not around 5 months before launch. That is a beta. This is the shittiest beta security I have ever seen. The problem is only enhanced by the hardcore nature of this game. I made this thread, because though others have been made, the problem has not even been acknowledged by the dev team or Rocket. Well, as long as I have to deal with hacking script kiddies, this forum will have to deal with me and every other pissed off player that is unsatisfied with a broken game that should be great.

    Im done, hackers win...

You sure do think highly of yourself don't you monster? I'm glad you get such a masochistic rush out of "testing" a broken "alpha" while still maintaining such a very extraordinary level of self-respect and attitude.
  3. Contact Joe on Skype or Steam. You can also add me on Skype or steam Skype Bags.o.sweat Steam Nuget222
  4. Bumping for justice, we have room for more.
  5. Lol...Striker you cuckold, go cry about how you got fucked over somewhere else, seriously. Nobody in the group liked you, not a single one. You were causing problems the first day, and we still took you in. We geared you, and we protected you. Just because a hacker nukes the server we are on doesn't mean Joe sucks at leading...you're just attached to your gear. Also you never did a single useful thing for any of us so good riddance. Really, I hope I find you again so I can shoot you once for Joe, then again for Dennis, then once for myself. BTW, you are a bandit.
  6. Nice job on your impressive step up in security. Was killed by a hailstorm of hundreds of grenades in elektro within a half hour of playing. Our helicopter pilot exploded in mid air, but not before bleeding out form twelve K to 0 in one second and breaking his legs. Good thing they fixed the hackers.
  7. Thanks for the bump bro. I suggest you take some time off from trolling and go back to 4th grade to lern urself some proper grammers.
  8. Actually I dismissed them all because they are INVALID points. I also specifically pointed out that I do NOT get attached to my gear, and that hackers in fact contribute to most of the high end gear I get, usually indirectly through circulation. Your troll response gets no beans, you didn't even make it half way through my post before jumping to conclusions. And no, this game is not in alpha. No game in history has been this bad in alpha and been released IN A MONTH, that's right, Rocket said September would be when he expects his stand alone to be on the market. No fucking way anybody could argue that THIS is alpha when he expects people to pay for a STAND ALONE GAME in a month? Besides the fact that the problem exists, an even larger gaff is that he refuses to even acknowledge it...no communication.
  9. I know there are a lot of new, and even some experienced players who doubt the community of this game because of the bandits they have come across, the assholes that have back-stabbed them, the shoot on sight die-hards, and the general feeling of loneliness that one can get playing this game avoiding every player out of fear. I wanted to make a post showing that even in the days of no global chat, in the days of hackers EVRYWHAR, the days lacking bandit skins, there are still people dedicated to being kind to ALL players and helping out the new guys. In fact, I am in a group of about 15 that is 100% dedicated to helping people. We search through areas like Elektro and Cherno, with complex squad tactics ensuring the safety of the group, and we look through the cities for players. We ask, "Are you friendly?" If they reply yes, if they show signs of surrender or non-hostility, if they type back, or even if they just ignore us, then we attempt to A bring them along with us B give them food/medical supplies.and tools and C if they are trusted enough and want to join us, we arm them! We also protect them from bandits. We are in fact bandit killers. Just today we saved around 4 lives and saved multiple people. The first we saved at the Balota airfield. He was armed and ran into the control tower, bleeding. He ran in screaming "FRIENDLY HELP PLEASE" Instead of being a bandit or douche, I picked the zombies off him, bandaged him, gave him a blood transfusion, and looted the place with him. We even swapped skype/steam info. A sniper then opened fire at us while we were on top of the control tower. I told him to get down and stay down, hug the wall, and that my group would take care of it. Within seconds my team eliminated the sniper. I told him he could get up, and he asked if he could search the corpse. We took him to the corpse, letting my group know the old man with the beard is friendly, he looted the well equipped bandit, and he logged in the woods. It felt great. We also killed a group of 4 bandits in the Cherno fire station who were firing on 3 innocents in the supermarket. We gave them a chance to come out with their weapons dropped, but they decided not to. We smoked up the fire station, charged in, and dispensed with 3 of them with a grenade. The last one was sniped, trying to escape up the tower so he could alt+f4. All in all...we felt like heroes. We provided people with weapons, ammo, food, medicine...but most of all...I feel we restored some trust to the players of Dayz. And that makes me proud. I am glad to be a part of a group that works to keep a feeling of kinsmanship alive among survivors. As for the bandits....See you soon.
  10. Thanks for bumping again. Like I said, I don't care that they can't do anything. They need to communicate to these forums and come out to say that this is a problem and that there is some sort of work going on, they need to legitimately show that they know whats happening. As far as it being out of their control, I don't believe that. How will they use that excuse in a stand alone? I do not pretend to be a knight in armor...and I don't dismiss every bodies opinions. If you read the thread, you would know that. I now assume you are just trolling, since it is clear you have nothing intelligent to add to the conversation, but please, feel free to keep bumping my thread!
  11. Just based off of the fact that they need to hack, troll, and be a virtual sadist tells me that they are insecure douchebags whom enjoy causing other people emotional pain. Yes, I can proudly say my life is better than ALL of theirs.
  12. I appreciate your bump and I think that the main difference in your thinking and mine is that I do want to make as much noise as possible about this until the community gets a real, valid response from Rocket and the dev team. This kind of thing would be unacceptable under ANY circumstances for a stand alone game, yet just because "ITS ALFA LUL" it is okay? I am trying to do Dayz and Rocket a favor...the faster they respond to this, the more confidence people will have when the stand alone hits. Unfortunately, a lot of players have been lost already.
  13. I don't care if it feeds the hackers. I really don't. They are pathetic and have shit lives, knowing mine is better is solace enough, The point is, Red Rocket and the dev team are IGNORING this problem, failing to even acknowledge the gravity of the situation. Until they do, I say we spam this issue as much as humanly possible...because you know what? It's all we CAN do.
  14. Well I sincerely hope your streak continues. Perhaps the problem is that I play in a medium to large group (five to twelve) and they target groups? I don't know. Server pop doesn't seem to matter. We get caught in low and high pop servers. I will try non-us servs, but the latency kills.

    The Latest Patch

Beans for being such a helpful member and legitimately caring enough to follow a thread, look through replies, and help a stranger. You are hope for the human race.
  16. Thanks for bumping my thread troll, I hope you have fun jacking off to that picture of Rocket you keep in your closet sanctuary =)
  17. Yes, literally every day I have played for the last 3 or 4 days, each server I have been on has had a hacker (this disregards servers I only spawned in for brief moments, I just guess about 30 minutes.) And to be honest, I know I will get troll replies, I already have. And as for Grindstone, I have seen that thread. I read through it completely. I also find it to be a complete and total cop out of a problem. That entire post was nothing more than blaming the hacking on script kiddies and telling people to deal with it. I am saying that unless you are a bandit that only stays near the shore killing new spawns, there is no way to achieve any end-game content because of the fact that A) My group is killed by a hacker B) When we actually do get our hands on end-game, it is taken away via nuke or thunderdome C) When we come back everything on the server is gone, even tents.
  18. Please, share with me your secrets to being hack-proof? If you aren't, then please, tell me how you make server dependent items stick around for more than a day? If you don't work towards any long-term goals, then I assume you either A sit in elektro or cherno and snipe new spawns (whoo...that may just be too much fun to handle) or you are yourself, a script-kiddie. Not meaning to offend you here. Just want a slice of the dayz pie.

    There is still hope!

I realize all of this. Unfortunately, I don't think any one person on this forum could make a strong argument that the scales aren't tipped drastically in favor of shoot on sight and bandit players. Our group doesn't want to make the game a big friendly world with everybody doing what WE think they should do, never shooting anybody. I, and the group I am in, understand this is a sandbox game. We play by our own set of rules and morals though, and the impact they have on the community actually makes me really proud and happy. I guess I just feel that more than helping people in a game where it takes 10 minutes to get a lot of your essential stuff back, we are slowly tilting the scale so that not EVERYBODY is so scared of every other player. All the time....without exception. (AKA Cherno/Elektro/the entire world) Thanks for the support guys!

Well I hope we don't run into you Tigger, and I hope you get bored of that soon and decide to do something with a little more depth, but to each his own.

    There is still hope!

No, we scout all over, but mainly in the south. There are times when we need to resupply on heave weps & ammo for our MG guys and our assault squads. We usually just hit up stary and NW airfield, but we also go to some northern towns. If you give me your skype, steam, or if you get mumble, I can start to bring you into the group. We would just need to make sure you wont do anything like steal our items or kill us... safety first.

    There is still hope!

We go across multiple servers. If you are in this thread in 16 hours, I will gladly tell you which server. We scout again at 10 pm today.

    Looking for friendlies

I have played for a while, willing to start fresh on any serv. Steam= Nuget222 Skype= bags.o.sweat
  24. So, I was recently in a camp up in a watch tower looting the hell out of the place. Had a hunting knife, a silenced pistol, which is apparently very rare, and a nice chunk of other nifty things. Seems great. I think I am about ready to head out, seeing as I have everything I need for the north. Then three guys show up, two with primary automatics, one with a pistol out. Fuck. Fucking great...alright, what should I do? "Hey guys, I am friendly, are you?" Reply: "Yeah we are friendly" I asked if I could join their group, figuring they were collecting friendlies. I ask if they have skype, they say yes, and we swap info. I go down to talk to them and, YOU GUESSED IT, one of the three shoots me thrice with his automatic. I die, and am left wondering the question in the title. What possible reason do I have to do anything but kill everybody I see now. Okay, I get it, if I see a dude running in the distance, I will turn my ass right around or work through him without him seeing me. Fine, that is a dandy solution...but at this point, literally every single encounter I have will have to end up in bloodshed for my own good. I would just like to know if this seems EXTREMELY damaging to the game to anybody else but me? I am a relatively new player, have died many times, and understand the joy of playing such a hardcore game. I also realize, I think it would be amazing to be able to find somebody and group up, maybe adventure a bit with them. Talk...just talk to them. I mean literally, what the hell, there is ZERO social interaction in this game that isn't conversed with bullets. If I have: A) No way to global chat B) No ability to trust anybody C) No way to communicate without being extremely close Then how am I supposed to enjoy this game with somebody else? I just don't think that the system, as is set up now, is conducive to any kind of social interaction, which is, as many have pointed out, one of the most enjoyable things about the idea of this game. Unfortunately, I don't really see a way to get to that side of the game. Also, no, shooting and pvp for NO REASON do NOT count as social interaction. That is exactly the same as AI killing me. Just instead of a brainless zombie, it is a 12 year old in New Jersey who's name pops up next to mine.
