Incorrect. There are those who make games to make good games. Ed McMillen is one modern example (albeit, indie, but unfortunately...that's where the true passion lay right now). Yes, money plays a part in the continued release of games from a company in their future, but a good company won't let that mean taking their flagship IP and have the trilogy come crashing down on itself all for the sake of delivering the product in 2 years instead of 3-4. And yeah, that's a cut at Bioware, I'll forgive them when Kotor 3 comes out. -
This right here, folks. This is why I stopped shooting first and asking questions later. What have I gotten out of it? Met 3 different chaps that are just as heavily addicted to DayZ as I am and willing to crush 4-8 hours straight. Lol, so, there's more then just "satisfaction" to be gained in not killing everything that moves.

It's simple, don't go on a full server, go on a half-full server. The fools just want to showboat their hax0r skillz to a full audience. And, my friend, I think you will be waiting some time for your standalone, I just DO NOT see it happening in September. (Think of it like when they say "such-n-such game is coming out Dec. 31, 2012", well, no it's not. More then likely it'll be February or March, if not later. I'm sure they hope it's out by then.) So while you take a step back, imma take all your beans and the beans you would've eaten. -

Simply put, I'm in Berezino and the trek back isn't the most exciting. If anyone's near Berezino with a vehicle and heading towards Elektro, I'd love to hitch a ride. At the moment, I don't have anything outstanding to trade, but would gladly hand over all of my ak mags and my kobra.

So, in an effort to broaden gameplay I'd like to partner up with someone, but as everyone who's been playing for awhile is either out of my league, in a clan, or hacking, I've decided I'd like to focus on showing people the ropes. If you're currently new and inexperienced and you look at Cherno Factory as being the motherload of all loot, then I'd like to help YOU. In what is nothing but a Win-Win situation, I get a partner to help tear it up and you get to roam around with someone that can, at the very least, provide you the basic-moderate information you need to survive. If you're interested, just let me know and we'll set something up. (All requests pertaining to the server to meet on will be dealt with in PM, as we don't need any unnecessary and avoidable problems.)

1) You needed to put the hatchet back into your toolbox prior to picking up the akm 2) If a person is currently having connection problems (the red chainlink), or if you are experiencing lag, then sometimes a person will appear as if they're walking into a wall or just standing there when really, it's just a delay between one or both of you and the server. (...is my educated guess.) *As far as I've come to understand, killing a person who is just connecting to the server and are in "limbo" is when you start seeing "such and such was killed by whatshisname (friendly fire)". In other words, he should've died if he was just connecting. -

Please, no. I learned to cope, as did many others, in time so will they. -
1) A gametype in which a 60 player server splits up into 30 survivors and 30 infected (or super infected, whatever. Could also work better as a 40/20 split), where the survivors are going about their normal business while the infected players have 8-10 ai zombies that they can issue simple orders to. Also, 2) A gametype in which every player on the server is assigned an enemy ai that is (x) amount stronger, faster, and smarter then your normal zombies. Consider it a Nemesis of sorts; You'd never be safe. I understand it would take some work to apply new game mechanics like this, but being ambitious never hurt anybody. Last I checked, dreaming big didn't either.

I really think the moral of this story is, assuming I'm interpreting it right, if there was the option of servers to have side chat in the first place, then the world would be a better place? On another note, I read an interesting article, during the time DayZ had side chat, there was an average or 6 less deaths a day and 15 more babies born in a day. You can't argue with the facts.

Another tip would be to have the upper hand and choose to not harm a person, or even offer up a gun to the unarmed. It's a gamble, but you're either getting shot or a new companion. -

I've been having this problem and it was driving me nuts. Changing graphic settings (such as turning Anti-aliasing, post-processing and such) on and off, does not work at all. 2. Changing Vsync from On to Off and back again, works in a few individual cases. 3. Changing HDR settings between max to minimum works more oftenly. 4. Holding down shift, pressing the "minus (-)" key on your numeric keypad, releasing and after typing 'flush' works on a few occations (about 20% success ratio for me. 5. Changing your config file by editing: My Documents\ArmA 2 Other Profiles\<Your profile>\<Your profile>.ArmA2OAProfile: change so sceneComplexity=1000000;
