I can't tell if this is a problem with 1.5.7 or with the fact that I moved from my apartment at the university back to my home for the summer. My mod is up to date. I installed it when I got into town. I can connect to the servers and I do spawn in with my character. My game and BattleEye clients are up to date. This is the problem: after several seconds to a minute, the game locks up and the error message "No message received for XX seconds" pops up. The timer (XX) incrementally ticks up in real time seconds as it should when "connection is lost." That's effectively what I see. Note: One time after this message popped up, when I was inevitably kicked from the server, I saw a message saying "BattleEye has stopped responding." Could BE have something to do with this? What I know is my net did not drop. Every time this issue appeared I set up to see what was going on with my net. I did a speed test (stable). I tested for packet loss (none). I even streamed a youtube video, netflix, and kept xfire voice chat up on three seperate tries as well as just a basic game run w/o any bandwidth drain besides the game. So far as I can tell, it's not the net. The game worked the other day when I was in Tucson. Now it doesn't. I'm not even fully sure what I'm trying to fix... perhaps it's a flawed code that snuck its way into the game and only effects a few players? Maybe it's my ISP?- then why do I have no problems connecting to anything else? I don't know. A few google searches have suggested that BattleEye is to blame; the appropriate "fixes" suggested were to check my ports... I've forwarded 2302-2306 UDP as suggested on the following Steam forum thread. http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1989500 No change. Does anybody have any troubleshooting advice for this issue?
