My friend told me this story yesterday: he had just spawned near elektro and found a lee enfield on his way into town. he climbed to the roof of the hospital for med supplies and saw a guy sprinting down the street training a bunch of zombies. being the bandit that he is, he capped him with the lee enfield. as this guy was bleeding out, he moaned on direct voice chat "NOOOO MY MOUNTAIN DEEEEWWW!" maybe there is a curse...

this is very true. unless there's some setting i don't know about, the holo is just aweful at night without nvgs

funniest hacker story i've heard was here on the forums. someone said they got teleported to debug, turned into a rabbit, and surrounded by bear traps.

downed chopper spawns are totally random afaik they could be that close.

This. on a night server, NVGs don't really give you too much of an advantage the further north you get, they just put you on par with everyone else.

we found one last week. it's a really neat gun. ghillie plus this gun make you pretty impossible to see in a halfway decent spot. ammo only spawns with the gun to my knowledge, though.

we tried from 135m all the way up to 500m about 10-15 times, sitting still and also moving at about 50 kmph (or whatever the measurement of speed is in this game). i think it's just super bugged right now.

i couldn't get that mod to run. i'm sure it's my fault somehow but every time i try to load it up, i just have an animated screen of a house in a field. i really wish i could get in there and get some target practice.

when our squad was really new we raided stary with about 6 people. one of us got sniped in the tents so 4 ran to the big warehouse and i headed for the hills to try to spot the sniper. it was in the middle of the night so nobody could really see and all of a sudden this dude with an axe starts chopping his way trhough my teammates in the warehouse. he killed 2 people before someone spotted him and gunned him down. we were just dying laughing. he had snuck up the stairs on the south side of the building - stairs that none of us new existed yet at the time. hacheters are ftw.

he wouldn't have had a shot while prone there....grass too tall. shitty place to use the gun under normal circumstances. i really don't know how one of those two pickle petes didn't just turn around and shoot you in the face.

i agree that the dude is for sure a fresh spawn noob - he was checking the tents in balota, afterall. however, i really don't like this "oh he's a fresh spawn so you shouldn't kill him" bullshit. first of all, the best thing for a fresh spawn is to kill someone with a gun. saves a ton of time and effort. so, he's probably going to KOS. secondly, fresh spawns lose very little for dying, so they don't have much to get upset about. all that said, had it been me i probably would have typed to him first. you had higher ground...he would have had to climb the ladder to get you leaving himself fully exposed to your mp5. plus, you knew there weren't other guns in the camp cause you had already searched it.
