    Does this still work with Lingor 1.4?

    I doubt you'll get any support here, considering DayZ Staff doesn't support Lingor Island, therefor they won't help with Lingor Island problems. Take it over to Lingor Island's website's forums if they have any if you want an answer. If they don't have any forums, then just ask on a YouTube installation guide.
  2. I played ArmA 2 multiplayer. I'll finally reach the goal of the server and then a new goal appears and it's on the other side of the map, waste of time. The AI is just plain stupid, it's filled with glitches, BattleEye doesn't seem to stop hackers, do I need to continue on? Just wait for standalone version, no need to support this mess.

    Truthfully, the main thing is them not dealing with hackers correctly. Each day more and more players download hacks from a website and end up with 0 punishment. People see BattleEye isn't doing anything with the hackers they have now, so they decide to go ahead and download hacks because nobody is getting caught and BattleEye isn't stopping them. I know this isn't Rocket's fault too why BattleEye isn't doing their part of the deal, but I think it's time to ditch them as an anti-hacking software and go with a different and more helpful anti-cheat/hacking company, after all, Rocket does work for BI. All I can hope, is that they don't get BattleEye for the standalone version of the game.
  4. You've got to be joking, ArmA 2? An awesomely fun game? No no no no.. You're crazy if you think ArmA 2 is an "Awesomely fun game" Filled with glitches, hackers, takes you hours to get anywhere in Multiplayer. With that said, no, it's not worth it with it becoming standalone by Christmas.

    Hmm, Blood Money happens to be the name of a hacker too, if you didn't know that. Blood Money has appeared in a stream before as an, invisible man, either killing him, or helping him sometimes. (PsiSyndicate was the streamer, someone was helping him, and his invisible friend came along, and the guy helping him called his invisible buddy "Blood Money") I don't see any reason why he would kick players for items, when he can just spawn it in. Unless, of course, this is a different player, but both named Blood Money. Could just be a coincidence.

    How immature. I completely disagree with hacking, but at least this guy admits it, and you guys go around flaming him? First person in forever to actually admit he was hacking and this is what you guys do? If he wants to keep paying $30 to keep getting banned on this game, let him be, but at least show us that this community is still decent and mature to keep things calm, instead of saying dumb stuff like this.

    It's a decent idea, but won't happen with the Arma II engine. They'd have to have realistic ideas too, they can't have airplanes dropping supplies, that ruins the exploration feel, and is totally unrealistic. Military would not be giving survivors supplies, if anything they would be carpet bombing the cities. Now, before you say this game/mod doesn't need to be realistic. This game is a military simulator so it is suppose to be realistic. This is a mod for a military simulator, so it needs to stick with realism. If Rocket didn't want it to be realistic, it would be a mod for another game, because Arma II is all about realism.

    Well, I do know it doesn't take longer then a week to test a bug out, what is there to even test? The only thing they could "test" about it is if they could go through walls or kill people, which doesn't take longer then a day to find that out. There is nothing about them to defend, they clearly exploited the game and now they are trying to cover it up when someone they trusted decides to do the right thing, and post pictures of admitting that they "see through walls". Then they want to talk on Mumble with them to try getting them to delete this post, I know it. I'll say it again, they know they did the wrong thing here, and they know they got caught, and now they are just trying to pretend like they were "testing" it out, when none of the screen shots posted says anything about them testing it out. It only says they deleted files, and doesn't see trees, buildings, or rocks. Oh, let's not forget them duplicating too. EDIT: Oh, and I do know the OP has him saying they were testing, but the pictures posted by Kyriel with Junkyard telling her about it, he says nowhere they are testing it out. Of course he would tell Garful that he was just "testing" it, because he doesn't want to get caught.

    Okay, if a bug is doing something the game didn't intend for you to do, then it is also exploiting. Exploiting is doing something the game didn't intend for you to do. Private servers would only be allowed if every sever had different players, meaning your character is only saved on that one server, which won't happen. Developers don't know about this if someone doesn't tell them, which no one told them what the specific bug was. Of course their excuse is that they were "testing" it and was going to tell the developers, but yet they have been "testing" it since at least July 02, which it would only take a few days to "test" it then send it into the developers. They decided to abuse it. Which by the way you defend them, I am guessing you are one of them, just face it you guys, you got caught exploiting and wanted to hide it. Explains why he was wanting to talk privately on Mumble, probably so he could make a deal with them to keep them quiet.

    I'm just going to jump in onto this thread with this post. It's not really a bug if he's deleting files to get rid of buildings, trees, and that sort of stuff. I suppose you could call it a bug, but not so much. Private servers aren't allowed, so of course the majority would say to blacklist it. Alpha is to find bugs and fix it, but they found this bug, and have been using it for a long time now, they could have reported this bug a long time ago. From what I see in those pictures up top (on page 2 and 1), is they have been doing this since July 02. They have had way enough time to figure it out, and report it into the devs. No, they didn't, they decided to exploit it to their needs.

    Best places to find snipers? *Not Miitary*

    There are loot maps you can Google and find all the sniper spawn locations. I think the only sniper that spawns outside military bases is the CZ550, which spawns in barns.
  13. I suppose one of the "bug" part is realistic, a door swinging towards you? I mean that's seriously dangerous, it could hit your head and you get put in a coma or even kill you! Being serious, this mod has increased Arma 2s player count of course, but the player count won't stay with this.. Sooner or later people will get tired of having to shoot on sight, or being shot on sight. Spending hours of time getting gear, and then just having some guy with a Lee just shoot you because you approach him with the reason of befriending him. I suppose you can't blame him he didn't want to die, but think before you shoot specially when they aren't shooting back. I preferred the other banditry system, where you would have humanity, and after you go negative you would get a bandit skin. Not really realistic, but it adds way more fairness to the game, by the time you go up to someone to listen to their heart beat they already hear your footsteps, and then you're dead. Valid points you bring up, Skyter.

    Since it's so easy to fix this, why don't you fix it for Rocket? He's busy, it's in Alpha and he's still making the mod. There are much bigger errors in this mod than server hopping that needs to be fixed first..

    A while back there was a post where someone found it on a dead soldier I believe he said. It was a post that was made probably a month back and someone had it. It's legit I believe, but it's a rare drop on soldiers. (I am not 100% sure on this, I just remember a post of someone "finding" it on a dead soldier.) I'll see if I can find the post..     Extreme lag anyone? since v1.7.2

    For me, it is lagging more than 1.7.1.5 even though 1.7.2 was suppose to increase performance. All you can do is wait for a hotfix if you don't want to play with the lag or revert back to 1.7.1.5.
  17. I highly doubt this is true. It was confirmed by Rocket it was going to be for Arma 3 I believe, why would he release a standalone version before Arma 3, and still make it for Arma 3? Makes no sense really. I'd also like a confirmation rather or not, but I highly doubt it since it has been said it will be in Arma 3 which comes out in 2013.

    So now you're telling me how I am killing the "zombies?" I kill the zombies whichever chances I get, if it's a building most likely I flee it through a back entrance and lose them. Sometimes I turn around and pop them with my 1911. I don't always use a building to kill them. Correct me if I am wrong, but infected people and "zombies" are totally different, correct? Infected people are still partially alive, just sick with a virus so can still be killed in any way. Zombies are dead, but brought back "alive." You'd HAVE to kill them in a building if this were to happen which just wouldn't make much sense.

    So you're telling me I have to kill the zombies in buildings now just because I have to headshot them? No thank you. I believe Rocket even said these are more like infected beings, not zombies.

    They would have to make the "zombies" move really slow in this case, at how fast they run right now it'd be almost impossible to kill one if you had to get a headshot.

    1.7.1.5 vs 1.7.2

    I seriously dislike 1.7.2 and awaiting a hotfix. Apparently there was suppose to be a performance increase with this update, but I am lagging bad now in major cities when before in 1.7.1.5 I would at least get 30 FPS, now I am LUCKY to get 30 FPS and when I do it's only for a few seconds then I am lagging bad again. I thought it may have just been that server, but I have tried more then 5 servers and every single one lagged just as bad. (It worked fine in 1.7.1.5.) With that said including a bunch of other bugs, I'd just stick with 1.7.1.5 for now until a hotfix fixes a majority of these problems.

    I agree with the fact they shouldn't be spawn killing people, but this is a survival game, and a lot of the players think that it is much easier to kill on sight then it is to type "Friendly" and try to befriend the person. There will always be more bandits then there are survivors. Even when you do befriend a person who just spawned on the beach, chances are when they find a gun they will end up popping you in the head.

    I Can't even Play this game!!!

    You will end up getting killed a lot in the major cities. Head towards Electro instead of Cherno if you keep dying there, or head to Balota Airfield. If you don't know where any of these places are just google "DayZ Map" and it should have a link for a map. If you dying and losing your gear is too much for you then you might as well not play this mod, because it'll never be at a reasonable ratio, there will always be more people killing on sight then there will be actual survivors.

    No.. It has been posted almost everywhere on these forums "If you get attached to your gear you might as well just play another game" as many people say, the mod is just in Alpha. You're not here to get good gear and "pwn all the noobs." You're here to test the mod out. If you can't handle that then just not play it until Beta.

    First of all, you all need to quit it. If it was anybody else having a private server all of you would be complaining crazily. You can't give people special treatment. Private servers are not allowed and they knew that, they still went along. The server owner should just have his server taken down nothing more nothing less, because the owner clearly knew private servers were against the rules. (Banning him is going too far.) Also, I don't know if they had a hacker give them items, but they did have the admin teleport them to each other, make it a private server, and give them tons of good stuff. They weren't playing DayZ the way it was meant to be played, they got a 1911, Morphine, and a ton of other good stuff. They had RidgeDog protecting them with silenced weapons even though they had just started DayZ.
