I had this problem. My problem was with the Catalyst Control Center settings for my ATI card. Had to set all the 3D settings to default then everything was looking ok again.

Ye, I totally agree. Went through the same thing the other day, spent numerous nights playing with friends and we got so much good loot (guillie suits, camo, weapons, resources). We felt like it would completely suck to die now and lose all this stuff but the eventual happened and we tried to out smart a couple of bandits and with a complete lack of confrontational skills, we were shot dead. Ye we were all bummed out but I feel starting again is exciting. there's the urgency to find a weapon to defend yourself and getting a good amount of supplies, enough to go exploring cities and towns to find an awesome gun to replace your axe or Makarov with. I've learnt that although dying sucks, it doesn't bother me as much.

Literally laughed out loud at each one of those points. I'd play that game.

I'm having the same problem. It happened after tweaking the cfg. files like a noob going off some suggestions from armaholics. I backed up my config files and put them back but I still get the low res text and loading screens. really makes it hard to find a good server. I've now lost 2 of my cfg. files thinking the game would replace them after booting up but it didn't. Really don't wanna have to reinstall the game, got a session starting soon. EDIT: OK I tried reinstalling OA but still get the same problem. No idea what's causing it =/

Hi there, just wanted to get my friends video a few more views. It's a mini series we're doing playing DayZ. He's doing all the filming and editing, I just play along side him. Just download the Arma II demo from steam and you can get operation arrowhead for 9.49GBP digitally if you search for it. It's what I did and is the cheapest way to do it.
