To confirm kills. I guess in the standalone, ALT-F4'ing will be fixed though, so if you hit someone, It'll be a kill.

All gamers (More specifically, all PC's) should have a unique ID which cannot be changed and is consistent across all games. Found hacking in one game? Fuck you. You're gonna have to buy a new PC if you want to play ANY other game. You don't deserve a second chance. Obviously 100% proof of hacking would be needed to dish out a ban like this, but really, most hacks can be proved (especially in DayZ). If nothing else, at least it would be a deterrent. Obviously this is incredibly idealistic, but I'd love to see it.

Had an AS50 from crash site. Swapped out for L85A2 AWS & SVD Camo from a server hopping bandit at NWAF. Gave the L85 to my freshly spawned mate back down South. Met up with another friend who gave me his M14 AIM he found in a tent. So where I got my current primary weapon isn't really an accurate representation of 'loot inflation' because had I simply decided to keep the AS50 in the first place, my vote would have gone to 'loot spawn'.

So over the last couple of days, I've become almost convinced that someone is following me around in DayZ, despite changing names and servers several times. Before a couple of days ago, I had never ALT+F4'ed to avoid death, and trust me, I've died plenty of times. However, I seem to be getting shot at in the most random places in Chenarus and it always seems to be the same drill - AS50 shots from multiple directions. If I'm not being stalked by some hackers then I'm almost certain I'm being found by different groups of hackers coincidently. Now, don't get me wrong, I've come across people in random towns I don't even know the name of, but this has happened to me 4 times in the past two days (one time I didn't ALT+F4 and saw something mighty suspicious). I wanted to ask you guys:Where is the most random place you have ever been shot at / encountered someone in DayZ and would you have ALT+F4'ed in my situations? (Yes, I feel bad for ALT+F4'ing incase it was legit, but the chances are pretty damn low) So the first random encounter was with me and four friends running on the hill between Balota and Cherno, all pretty geared (this is probably the one that's most likely legit, but we really weren't so sure). Out of the blue, one of us gets hit. First thought is Cherno rooftop snipers. Then we realised they would have had absolutely no line of sight (We checked anyway and the rooftops were clear). Another one of us goes down. This time at the bottom of the hill, after he ran down to scout it out. This time we all heard the shot come from the bottom of the hill. The last two of my friends head down there while I scan from above. Now, all of a sudden, an AS50 shot lands at my feet and I'm also being shot at by something else from behind me. At this point, my friends have seen no-one at the bottom of the hill, so I ALT+F4 and tell them to do so too because it was just way too suspect. Komarovo. Me and about 5 other friends logged in there after the sever we were just on timed out (We all had some pretty good gear and we were at Komarovo on the server that timed out because one of us spotted a (probably hacked in) heli down there). So when we got in this new server, a couple of us were on the beach swapping gear and the others were just waiting in the industrial area. All of a sudden, one of our guys on the beach drops dead. AS50. The guy he was trading with tries to run back to the industrial area to take cover but also gets shot. As time goes by, I die on the roof and we're down to 2 people and still no sniper spotted, despite thermal scans. I spawned at Balota, ran back to Komarovo and got shot on the beach close to where my first friend died. Next spawn is Kamenka. One of my friends spawned in wilderness some time before me, so we met up and sprinted unarmed to the hills. No-one. at this point we manage to run back down, loot our bodies and log off. Next is 1.2km North from the outskirts of Cherno (We were basically on a hill behind a hill behind sniper hill - The important thing to note is that we could NOT see Cherno AT ALL, so there was no reason for any Cherno snipers to be here (also, we weren't heading to Cherno to snipe or anything)). Just me and one other friend this time. I saw a zombie at a house about 400m away and immediately told my friend. He said he was going to thermal sweep it, and as he said that, I looked into my DMR scope. At that moment, AS50 shot comes from the house and my friend is dead. I come out of scope, run to a pine tree to my left and lie down. He took another shot at me but it missed. So, this guy is at the house 400m away, down the front of the hill. I decide the best plan of action is to back away from the tree to keep line of sight broken and run back down the back side of the hill we came from. At one point, I turn around to look up the hill and see a guy in a bandit skin with an AS50 just lying under one of the trees about 15m away. Needless to say, he dropped me. This is the one I didn't ALT+F4 from because I didn't have time, but whoever shot my friend had NO reason to be looking where we were, let alone to be prepared to take a shot before we could even scope in. Also, we didn't return fire so there was no reason for this guy in the bandit skin to be lying under a tree waiting for us. The last one (and this one could be legit, but it was still in an unlikely place) was just North of Komarovo. Me and some friends found a bus parked in some trees at Stary, so after some action up at the NWAF, we decided to head South. It was night by this point, and the server was (suspiciously) full. Anyway, we got the bus all the way down South, stopping for fuel on the way, when about 300m North of Komarovo, two AS50's begin lighting us up. I ALT+F4'ed immediately at this point because of the three previous experiences of people with AS50's being in places for no particular reason. I understand this one could have been a legitimate encounter because the bus is, well, fucking loud, but Komarovo is usually damn safe. So I guess this could either be someone stalking me, different hacking occasions, or completely legitimate play which just seems suspicious without seeing the whole picture as to why they were there in the first place. It'd be interesting to hear what you guys think, and as a kinda tl;dr, I'll say it again - Where is the most random place you have ever been shot at / encountered someone in DayZ and would you have ALT+F4'ed in my situations? (If you can be bothered to read them)

Yeah, I'm pretty sure of this too, I also heard some hackers can see what gear everyone has, in which case I would be quite a big target.

I'm getting "You were kicked off the game. (BattlEye: Admin Ban (DayZ Anti-Hax (Remote Code Execution)))" on UK 180. Pretty pissed at the moment, never touched a hacked weapon in game, let alone run any scripts and right now I can't play with my friends on your server -.- Anyone shed any light on this?

I had a similar situation with higher end gear today. I currently have an AS50 and I'm taxi-ing my friend's M107 in my backpack because he died up North. On the way down, I ran into a heli crash site with an M14 AIM, which I would LOVE as a second weapon alongside my AS50, but had no room to take it unless I switched out my friend's M107. I didn't switch it because I'm a wonderful human being. Now, back to Walking Simulator 2012...

To add some degree of customisation to the standalone, I think it would be good if we could find weapon attachments at military spawns. We should then be able to switch out these attachments on the fly, as seen at 1:03 and 2:10 in the video below: As also seen in this video, some sort of fatigue system based on how much you're carrying would also be kinda cool :)

Just encountered my worst hacking experience yet. I found a bus in Elecktro needing three wheels, engine parts and fuel. I immediately set of to find some of these things from the docks while my friend made his way down from above Kamyshovo. After about half an hour of runs to the dock due to lack of invent space, serious aggro and a close call with a (thankfully friendly) armed player in the church, my friend managed to find an old bike and made it to Elecktro. At this point, we only needed one more wheel before we had our first vehicle in-game (after many, many hours). Walking towards the dock for the last time, everyone in the server gets dropped from the sky. Okay, so that pissed us off, but we thought we'd spawn in to see if we could spawn close enough to grab a wheel and drive the bus away. I spawned in Cherno and my friend spawned in Elecktro. At this point, things didn't seem so bad. It got better when I found one last car wheel in the docks of Cherno, so I began to run towards Elecktro. As I was approaching Cap Golova, my friend says he hears shots very close to him (which is strange considering everybody was just dropped from the sky, but we figured maybe they found a weapon by this point). A couple of minutes later, my friend comes out of hiding and sees the player who got shot. Completely unarmed. So at this point, we knew we had to be careful because someone was shooting unarmed players. Soon enough, my friend sees some guy in a ghillie suit with a sniper get in the bus we were trying to fix up. The guy then gets out of the bus and shoots my friend who is also unarmed. At this point, I was just entering Elecktro. I could see the church, but did not have line of sight with it at all. All of a sudden, an AS50 shot hits me and I'm dead. (So he was probably teleporting to players who got near it too, because he couldn't have seen me from where the bus was.) So, as a tl;dr, I figured this guy in the ghillie suit saw the bus in Elecktro, dropped everyone in the server from the sky so he could get it, killed unarmed players who got near it when they respawned, and completely ruined one of my best DayZ moments so far. It's just fucking pathetic. It's not like he couldn't have spawned his own bus or something...

So I'm looking to change my field of view in-game and a quick google search provided the steps needed to carry this out. (http://www.dayz.co/change-your-fov-in-dayz/) There are some values there to change the FoV to 90, but what is the standard FoV in-game? Also, what does double tapping - take your FoV to because I feel this is far too zoomed out. I'm kind of looking for the 'sweet spot' between these two, so if anyone knows their values, please share :) Thanks
