Eco friendly warrior keeping Chernarus cities and towns tidy, sorting all the tin-cans and empty glass bottles into neat piles for recycling. Its hard work but someone's got to do it. Please take into consideration the next time you want to litter in a bush or open field, that we share Chernarus with the Infected a slightly timid and shy species. On a serious note, I usually play as a roaming medic or a "runner" if some individual is looking for an item i'll attempt to find it for that individual in exchange for some medical supplies, if I'm low on such supplies? Otherwise its just a straight handover, but sometimes the circumstances may force me to change my playstyle. -

Lets hope the "Carrying" has something to do with the ability to shoulder your primary weapon and have easy access to that much valued melee weapon. One can only hope.. Looks really great. -

I logged into a server the other day and low and behold i spawn in with an M249 SAW, with 4 belts/mags (Inb4 someone corrects me) and every tool you could think of. Within 10 minutes i just got bored and logged. Vanilla severs are a rarity nowadays, but hey hopefully the SA isn't that far off. -

Don't worry you're not the only one, at least you had the common sense to read between the lines so to speak. -
What you should really do is try out the campaign in Arma or just mess around in the editor, also use the editor to get some basic understanding of Chernarus lay of the land and such. The controls are quite easy once you come to terms with them.

I total agree, i'm all for every aspect of this game pushing you towards making certain decisions, to accomplish certain tasks/knowledge. Be it from finding books/tools even gun cleaning kit ect. Then letting the player to get immersed in their character and build on his/her survival. But the fact is it will never be achieved, unless the ability to run back to your corpse like it's a Christmas present under the tree waiting to be unwrapped, needs a major overhaul. Because this cheapens the experience and eliminates any aspect to risk verse reward. But i one hundredth percent can see where you're coming from. My point exactly it cheapens the hole experience. -

What they need to do is eliminate the ability to loot your own corpse after dying, be it by lock out not (24 hours) or another for of mechanic. Then the focus would be brought back onto your character and all your actions will have some form of consequence. They need to make people get attached to their character again and fear the possibility of losing a few hours work. Be it from your own foolish mistake or by the hands of others. @Regulator Lone Warrior, I'm linking that vid it belongs in this discussion. brilliant. -

Their could be a number of unforeseen circumstances which may or may not have delayed it from being released. Its all just speculation at the moment and you're not the only one who's anticipating the release of the Standalone. But all we can do is wait. -
