As the old saying goes you can't judge a book by its cover, so your prejudgment of something in early development might change as time goes by. Until standalone is released and about six months into testing, It's basically impossible to compare the two, so like the rest of us we'll only then have the opportunity to criticise and pass judgement on the product presented to us.

Cant see that guy getting into a chopper with a stranger again for a very long long time, if he didn't have trust issues before the incident he sure does now. Epic.

So you're voicing your own opinion on a game that hasn't been released yet and in which not one of use has tested except for the lucky few. But you still seem to come across as the voice of many when you choose to say "A lot of players" when actuality its your opinion and not the opinion of the masses. I've know problem with the goal posts being moved, the further away the better. I'm always up for a great challenge when it's time to start the game.

The only valuable lesson that Rocket has learned is that a large portion of the gaming community lack the ability to read between the lines and that they take everything and anything as solid facts. "Extremely skeptical" how so? Is it the fact they've hit a few bumps along the road, which in turn made them reevaluate their approach to releasing a stable, functioning Alpha. I see know reason to have any reservations when it comes to the standalone (as I've not played it yet) or the way we are receiving information.

@15:25 Rocket starts talking about duck-tape, so hopefully with the crafting system we'll have unlimited possibilities.. I'd love to be able to attach a knuckle duster with a blade to the stock of my rifle.

Dayzcommander shows 30 servers for Fallujah, haven't it installed myself on DC but have the map for Arma its a great map for CQC. I highly recommend Panthera if you haven't yet played it, spent a month or two on that island when it first came out, its a nice change from Chernarus.

I didn't find DayZ it found me, searching youtube for Arma contents such as script tutorials and that sort of thing. When I came across quite an interesting video of a few lads running through a village in the pitch darkness with flares and flashlights as their only source of light, being chased by infected and screaming like little girls (The funniest thing I had ever seen). To this day it has to be my favourite video of DayZ, but unfortunately I can't seem to find it. Due to the amount of Dayz related vid's nowadays. After all the manual installing and 20+ minutes to join a server I got my first taste of what these guys had been experiencing and not soon after died to the infected. (Screaming like a little girl myself).

I don't know about you using Limerick as a reference for drug addicts or stereotypes when the more likely choice would be Dublin or even Atlone. If you went on drug related crimes and figures in the last few years.

Running into the small log house with one entrance and having about 10 infected doing the conga line, especially when you've been playing for over a year and know every building like the back of your hand. The worst part is it only happened a few hours ago. :facepalm: Another one would have to be the selecting of throwable objects with a frag grenade in my inventory, bouncing it off a wall and straight back at me instead of a bottle or can. :facepalm:
