This is an amazing server, no 3rd person wallhack fixes close quarters PvP and stealth, while ACE fixes 1-man army soldiers carrying 50+ kilograms of equipment and running for kilometers at a time, as well as balancing snipers by adding windage, and just adding tons of stuff and game mechanics in general. SMK doesn't appear to be working properly but I haven't used it in a long time and may be misremembering the controls. I've been playing using the JSRS (absolutely amazing) sound mod as well. My first night on the server... Running in pitch black night after spooking too many zeds to handle, hoping I lose them in a forest full of creepy (due to the situation) ambient noise, only able to hear the screeching zeds, my progressively more laborious breathing, and the clunking of the cans and ammo in my pockets. The howling became fainter and fainter but I kept running in fear of my own breathing having drowned out the howls. Eventually I decided to turn around and shine my flashlight... nothing in the shaky spotlight. Fucking terrifying, I'm in love with DayZ again. -

Why not have a 5 or 7 hour day/night cycle, or some number that doesn't fit into our 24 hour cycle, so people who get on at the same time every day get to experience different times of day? Oh and about fatigue, is there a chance of a weight based system like ACE's? -

People being friendly to other people = more friendly people. Just be friendly, even if someone is shooting at you, escape if you can. -

This, duping is broken, not "insert item you see way too much of for it to make sense" Wire is useful enough as it is, of course it needs to be fixed to stop zeds (like every other object in the game) -
ACE's fatigue system (and the entire mod in general) is awesome, no sprinting for KMs on end, carry too much shit and run for too long and you'll start passing out, awesome.

Sidechat is pretty terrible, hopefully someone adds ACRE to a private hive. (Assuming standalone will have a radio system as well)

ArmA's physics aren't nearly good enough to do player penetration sadly.

If more and more people started being friendly (especially with newbies) it would spread just as shoot on sight did way back after first release. People only shoot on sight because they always get shot on sight :)

ACRE would be perfect in DayZ, imagine trying to recover your dead teammate's body, not just for his loot, but to protect your radio channels from being leaked. would be nice too, it allows you to change the volume of your (aural not radio) voice from whispers to shouting.

ArmA is a hard sim, not a soft sim, you're expected to do everything, including lowering your weapon in CQC. -

This is yet another thing that ACE fixes, by adding a 3rd primary slot. (And their backpacks are based on volume and mass (which affects stamina more heavily than vanilla), not slots) -
