The inclusion of forced signs ("i have bloodbags!" for heroes and "i have good loot!" for bandits) is a terrible idea, I thought we learned that the first time around.

How much health do players have in comparison to zombies?

Zeds have 4.5k blood (unless this was changed very recently) and players have 12k. -
If the factions banded together (lol) then we'd just have Chernarus: TDM instead of Chernarus: DM. Hero-hero interactions will likely turn into fights, and bandit-bandit interactions will likely turn into fights. Especially since people will be flip-flopping between the two skins as they kill randoms and heal their group. You're right, they aren't permanent. That makes it even better because you know that hero just recently used a bloodbag, and it likely wasn't his last, and that he has teammates. You know that bandit just recently killed someone, and probably still is overflowing with the loot from the kill. Or you get hilarious situations like groups getting into a firefight, becoming bandits, then becoming heroes from healing themselves after the battle. edit: I should note that loners will always be bandits, unless they somehow never have to kill anyone, then they'll just be regular.

...do you honestly think this update changes anything? Now it only gives you priority targets, "heroes" are likely to have bloodbags so if you need blood, hunt heroes, "bandits" are probably good pvpers/have good weapons so you want to be careful around them, or hunt them for their weapons, and regular skins are just like good old roguelike-like simulation dayz, you never know what to expect. The only reason the majority of players KoS now is because of the first iteration of this terrible design choice. Giving people a free-fire target isn't a good idea because they'll shoot it. (and forcing people to carry a "I have bloodbags!" sign is equally as bad)

The skins don't change anything related to regular players, they're either gonna shoot you if they think you know they're there or let you go if they're nice and don't think you know they're there. Related to the 'bandit' players? Now you get a free high value target symbol on you! (Because you'll probably have bloodbags if you're a 'hero')

The only difference is that this update brought back the pointless, broken, and game breaking humanity skin system.

One thing I would like to see removed from the game: NVGs

They exist in the game because the game is a simulation (that happens to contain zombies) of an area occupied by modern military forces. These miltaries use NVGs in their operations and after an outbreak like DayZ they'd be laying around for people to grab. -
VAC only has that support because they've suffered from the issues people are claiming here now. Whether people are legitimately mass banned or not, having a poor appeal system is begging for trouble. Battleye still doesn't know how to deal with massive playercounts, and it shows.

VAC isn't involved with ArmA, but both VAC and PB have falsely banned players before, why is Battleye any different?

I really wish there were explanations for the error numbers, I keep getting error #10 trying to join the DayZ + ACE on Lingor server :/ -
What is more likely: a large group of people have decided to storm the forums, /r/dayz, and BIS' forums, to try and get their legitimate bans overturned; or Battleye is acting up for some reason? Note that BIS changed something in a recent patch in an attempt to make hacking harder, but it didn't work well server-side so they're reverting the change.

Programs are never flawless, remember when VAC erroneously banned thousands of players and Valve gave them all a free game (I forget what it was, didn't happen to me) in reparation? VAC doesn't work, PB doesn't work, what makes you people think that Battleye works all of a sudden?

Please bitch all over these forums, /r/dayz, and BIS' forums, the more people we get angry at this, even those who aren't affected (yet) the more pressure there is on Battleye to fix it. Not bitching is the worst possible thing you could do right now.

One single server hosted in Russia, but damn it's fun. I'm having issues with Battleye (error #10, no results on search though) but I didn't follow the tutorial letter by google translated letter.

Lingor is an amazing island but all the servers use an outdated version of @dayz that still has the broken bandit skin humanity. Oh well :/ At least there's an @dayz_lingor + @ace server!
