M16A4 best AR in the game tbh. Optics are awesome for both close range and medium range and its accurate upto 500m. Place the horizontal lines on the scope across your enemies shoulders untill you get the line that fits, and you have your zeroing right there.

Doubt you can run it on those specs, i get around 50-60fps on an i5 @ 5ghz and a 580GTX. I cant run it flat out either without noticeable mouse lag.

SO i patched to the latest beta last night, all working fine I use a bat file to run the game outside of steam. Today I boot up to find my clan playing medal of honor, so i have to start steam to play this. Then later on I run the bat file to find it errors telling me data is missing WTF. So I find Steam is downloading ALMOST 1GB OF "UPDATE"...hang on even 10 beta patches in total are no more than 100mb...what the hell is it downloading? When it completes can I run Dayz as normal through my bat file or do i need to manually patch it to the latest patch after verifying all my files? Thanks

Ok it appears that it tried to patch to the latest beta (even though it was already on the latest beta) and so it overwrote all of the bisign files, only it doesnt overwrite them it creates a new one called .pb(2) instead of .pb, when the game runs it detects that all pb(2) files should not be there, and you get kicked. So you simply delete them, theres about 400 of them.

Well it installed but now when I join servers it instantly kicks me for missing file language.pbo. I ran steam as admin and verifyed both games, it said that 1 file for arma and 3 for OA would be downloaded, it promptly downloaded them however I still get kicked from any server instantly. I really dont know what to do now, any ideas?

So in otherwords they have taken a semi realistic game and turned it into a BF3/COD rival because loads of people complained that its too realistic?

More importantly why the hell does Arma2 use gamespy?

Riding a bicycle I ejected to shoot someone, now when I get on im lying on the floor on the bike sideways and the game makes me get off and stand up. Everything on the bike is green...hull tyres etc. Any ideas why i dont get the "upright" animation? is it broken for good? :(

The goal of the game is to survive. You only flourish at survival in this game when you learn to shoot on sight. I would say that lone bandits flourish the most, they dont have to deal with meta gaming infiltrations or "friends" who shoot them in the back, you just shoot on sight and you loot. I left the last clan I was in just over a week ago having been teamkilled over and over for the best equipment and had tons of immature drama within the clan...and I have been alive the last 5 days. p.s killing 5 second survivors is usefull when they have the bandages you no longer have because a tree decided to hit you when you were stood next to it, breaking your legs.

Are there hacks out there to give players god mode? I keep coming across people who I shoot with the AS50 and I see the red mist when I hit them but they dont die, they just carry on about their day. This happened to a sniper on top of cherno tower (in full ghilie??) i shot him about 4 times and then he started looking for me so I assumed hacker and dc'd, and just now inside the atc i found a player and shot him twice and he didnt die. Its happening more and more and really sucks!

Think its just something that happens, takes me 5 times to load everytime, just sits at "Loading" but eventually does it.

The clan has some kind of personal relationship with one of Rocket's Dev's, this seems to mean to them that Rocket's rules dont apply to them. Several groups of players who have played on their server, specifically US 46, have noted that every time they raid an SAS camp, the server is quickly rebooted and everything they have taken inc vehicles that they have saved has magically reappeared at an unharmed SAS camp in the same place. Including myself, I have personally blown up the same camp in the same spot three times, only for a reset to take place.
