It seems to me that it differs from day to day. I´ve starter to read a magazine or a paper while waiting for "loading" to end.

This is just sad… And it is a lesson for the rest of us; NEVER carry ammo in the backpack. If I get shot shortly after spawn I really don´t care since I nothing to loose. I rarther try to see how good they actually are to shoot - run and to unexpected things!

Take a look at the map and think where you would place your tent. Most likely other players think the same - at spots that are easy to remember, at a lake, on top of a hill, inside bushes etc. Especially around the most popular towns bandits place their tents for ammo and backup. The pro players use heli and vehicles to drive to their camps, this means very often up in the north where noob players cannot easily reach ´em.

Never found one myself, but heard other players talking ´bout hotels/apartments to be the best spots. Found once the camo outfit at a toolshed lying on the ground in Elektro

On the Norway 28 server there is a player named MacGruber at the moment

As a solo player I always carry cooked meat (for blood), morphine (heal broken bones) and painkillers

Looked on the fields northewest of Stary Sobor and between Vybor and Airfield? I´m not a DayZ veteran, but it seems to me that spawning of loot is kinda akward sometimes. Been around towns a couple of times without nothing beeing spawned, no zombiez and no loot.

Yeah, a box of matches shouldn´t be too hard to stumble upon. They are common in residentials or a supermarkets are pretty common.But sometimes things are really strange in Dayz; I´ve been playing for some good hours now with my latest character and cannot find camo or ghillie suit. No chance at hell. Been at two heli crashes and several military camps and a ton of residentials. None what so ever :(

This will favor even more clans/groups of people and disfavour lone wolfs as me. If an equipped player get bored he/she will most likely head north to Scary Sober (haha), the city to the east and the airstrip to the west to get some action. Edit: I like the idea of the knife and water bottle. A possible adjustment; let them be more rare

Exactly. DayZ is as simple as that; the one who spots first will most likely kill the other. It´s a game for patience players.

@ rackley I got the other way around last night. Found my first chopper in the middle of the field northwest of Scary Sober (haha). Came from above in the treeline and when I was about to enter the open area my son interputed me so I hid behind a small stone fence a coupe of minutes. Back in front of my computer I sneak towards it and between me and the chopper a sniper with a ghillie suit also get up and starts running towards it! I follow and my hearts starts pounding fast - finally I´m gonna get a camo and a good rifle! I get as close as I can and loose my head and fires a couple of shoots, not in the head, but in the back. The guy doesn´t die, but get down behind a bush. I get up and moves forward and when I´m at his spot he is gone. He logged out, or something… About the zombies which didn´t aggro on your sniper; they doesn´t act in a specific way. Sometimes I get aggroed by zombies from a couple of hundred meters away, always the "jumpers". And last night I came rushing around a corner of a barn fleeing from a zombie when I suddenly face a second zombie face to face. And it didn´t aggro! I lay down and crawled away. So please keep in mind that DayZ is yet in alpha.

I run DayZ on a 2 year old+ MacBook Pro. Installed Windows 7 with Bootcamp - you´ll find installation walk throughs one YouTube. Works ok, but from time to time it´s lagging. Are getting the newest Macbook Pro with the flash disk through my work this fall so I´ll try to run it on that one to see if it´s get any better. If not, I´ll buy my first PC. Yep, this game is that good. edit: especially on the good lootingspots I get problems with the graphic, as the military camps. I thought this was an issue with me running Windows on a Mac, but I´ce just found out that this is also a problem for PC gamers
