thanks, but i tried that at least 5 times. now, i think i've solved the problem. after reinstalling and trying other dayz starters, i figured, that the problem has to be somewhere between my computer and the servers i play on. so i resetted my router to factory-settings. it seems, that this was the solution. i have no idea what exactly the problem was, but it had something to do with my router-settings. if your problem still exists, maybe you could try that, too.

i now have a suspicion, that the game removes some of my items, because it thinks i aquired them by hacking. i find this because of a short text, which is displayed in the down right corner of my screen. it says something with hacked item.

i have no problems with my internet connection. i have neither desyncs nor do i have lags. my ping usually is something between 15 and 40 ms.

It's a few months since i've played dayz the last time, so i wanted to see, if it works for me now. so i logged on a server and played an hour or so. after logging off for a short break i logged on to another server just to notice, that my whole inventory was set to the state it was, when i first startet to play. i tried reinstalling the mod, the game and the mod; i tried starting with playwithsix, dayzcommander and just over steam. at some point i tried just to die. so i've let myself die 3 times before i really was able to start a new character. at first it seemed to work, but it saved only the items i found during the first 20min of gameplay. after that my inventory was only randomly saved. e.g. i found a hatchet, which was saved but not the backpack or the ammo i picked up at the same time. i have no idea what exactly the problem is. additionally i now get kicked after a few minutes for no reason. -i updated and reinstalled battle eye at least 5 times -i play only on servers connected to the hive i have had this 6 months ago and thought the patches would help. please, can anybody help me. i really would like to play dayz. PS: i'm sorry for my english. i'm a little bit drunk and english is not my mother tongue

first: everyone who keeps logging out directly after finding stuff may consider waiting a couple of minutes before doing so. second: everyone, who says only the above mentioned behavior is the problem, please read through the complete thread. many people having this bug lose their gear even if they play hours! with it before logging out. and i wanted to add another thing. just a few days ago, i wanted to try, if it works for me again, so i decided to go for a walk through cherno. i killed two players and met another one in the fire-station. as i was followed by zombies and had no time to write something i just tried to shoot him. after i emptied half a mp4sd mag into his body and the other half into his head, he just thought it would be the right time to shoot me with his makarov.... nice one. as i just didn't care, because it is not so hard to find new gear, i just spawned again. after about half an hour i had new medium gear and tried again to get something out of a firestation. this time in electro. as i entered the firestation i just got shot by sombody. ok, so i had to get new gear again. but stop. after loading the new character i didn't have to choose between male or female, i spawned right on top of my 30 seconds old corpse. with all the gear i just had before dying. with the loot of my corpse i had double the gear. just wondering what it was i continued playing one or two hours and paused for a while. after logging back on, i again had nothing but some starter gear. this is a bug. nobody can tell me i have to wait over two hours to let my gear save.

and again a thread about people lossing their gear due to a bug and no dev gives a fuck about. i understand that this game is in alpha and bugs can happen any time and in any form. i also understand, that we (the players) are testing this game and should report any bugs, glitches or piles of burned chicken in order to let the devs know what to fix. BUT: this must be the 15th or more thread about the exact same thing, that people lose their gear just because ... f*ck u thats why. in not one of these threads i've seen a dev or at least a forums moderator post anything. i've sent a ticket and many others have done so, too. some people even told their problems directly to the devs. but in any case they and me, we just were ignored. my ticket was deleted almost immediatly after i reported the bug. and i did not hear anything about a dev answering the other guys messages. if we should post our problems and write bug-tickets, it should be the devs responsibility to at least read them and write an answer. even if the answer was "we just dont have any time for ur shit" it would be more than we heard about this at all. for me it seems that the devs just don't care about it, because it's just a few dozen people complaining about. my opinion of what goes on in their heads is: "oh there is a bunch of people complaining, that the game is just unplayable, because their progress isn't saved. f*ck it, those people whose tents are not saving are much more important thant those who can NOT PLAY because of a stupid bug i am just too lazy to solve." this is not meant as an insult, but maybe it gets at least someone, who can say anything about this problem to have a look at this thread and give an answer. i'd really like to play the mod, but i just don't want to start from zero after EVERY relog. no matter where, when, which server or if there was a squirrel in front of my window or not. to devs: please just notice the problem. or let us know if the problem is noticed yet.

many other people have this sort of problem, as it is described in many other threads so far. but it seems, that dayz staff just does not care about at all. yet i have not seen any post of any dev in any of the threads covering this problem. additionally no bug ticket has been answered so far (at least none, that i know). the ticket i sent 2 weeks ago was deleted 4 hours later without any reason.

i have had this issue since the 1.7.2 patch. it happened to me on various servers, at any location and at any time of the day. i'd really like to play this game, but i just don't see the point in it, if my gear keeps vanishing. i tried reinstalling the game, the mod, both. i tried starting with sixlauncher, dayzcommander and through the ingame server browser, but nothing helped.

since i installed the 1.7.2 patch i have a problem with losing my gear. when i log out, my position gets saved, but my gear doesn't. But it seems, it gets saved once. That means if i respawn or simply get killed, i go on looting some places, and after some time (maybe 10 minutes) my gear gets saved. everything i find afterwards, i will lose with the next log out. no matter how long i am going to play. sometimes i think, it saves my gear with the first weapon i find, no matter if pistol or sniper rifle. this happend to me on different servers, mostly us-servers, which are running the latest beta version. so far i tried to relaunch arma, reinstall arma and six-launcher and of course i am playing with the latest beta-patch and battle-eye version. i already searched the forums, but i couldn't find anyone with the same problem. the threads with similar problems, which i was able to find, didn't offer any solutions but only other players complaining about having the same problem. so far i did not notice any answer given by any dev. i'd really like to play the game, but i don't see the point in playing without the progress getting saved. following my pc's specs (maybe it helps): Win 7 x64 Geforce gtx 550ti 16gb RAM i5 2500K (my os is running on a ssd hd, most of my programs are saved on a sata-3 hd. never had problems with this in any way.) last but not least: english isn't my mother tongue, so please try not to care too much about grammar or spelling.
