This is helpful when your new: http://picacid.com/arma2/loot_en.html It's tells you what loots spawns where and the chance of it spawning. After a while you learn this stuff though.

A little addition to make things a little more... 'personal'
Rickard replied to KEEPCARLM's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
The hive is already having problems. Keeping all the peoples data even after they die would put even more load on it, so I don't see it happening anytime soon. Great suggestion though, I like it, and your not the first on to suggest it. -
When you alt-tab your GPU stops rendering, so the picture freezes. Somebody probably shoot you.

That gun you really wanted? You found it? Well its gone!
Rickard replied to deviantdigi's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
This has never happened to me. Mainly because I never put guns in my backpack unless I have room for it. If you put a primary weapon in your backpack with any amount of empty spaces below 10 it will disappear. Also if you carry two primary weapons, one out and one in the backpack, when you switch you must to it right. You must take the gun from your backpack out to your inventory not the other way around. Here is a video demonstrating just that: -
I've experienced mystic eating/drinking sounds, but not long sound chains.

Good guide on how to avoid this.

Nice story, screenshots also, classy!. I had to loose my DMR like that hahaha. I've actual thought about that possibilty when I am covering my mates, that if someone creeps up behind me I'm fucked. But of course I don't reveal my position in global like Fluffy did and also I don't lay around in an open field.

Good to see somebody else taking action. We staked out NW Airfield shooting people spawning in. The spawnrate was suprisingly high. One time two groups spawned in at the same time. We let them fight it out then we sniped the left overs.

Streaming DayZ from RAMdisk (How-to/Performance)
Rickard replied to eggmoe's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
A USB drive is not the same thing as RAM. It's much slower. You can save an image file that you start every time you wanna start dayz. Here is a good video tutorial: How much does this actually help? Most information used is from ArmA itself. Unless you have insane amounts of RAM, running ArmA:CO from RAM is not possible. -
Date/Time: around 2:00am GMT +1 21st June, 2012 What happened: I was stuck between a bush and a rock, I pressed V to try and jump over it. This caused me to instantly die. Where you were: In some woods east of Stary Sobor. What you were doing: Travelling. We found a tractor. One of us drove it around in the forest. We were all having a laugh running around watching him drive the tractor. I ran to the rock to get an overlook, when I tried to get up on it I died. Current installed version: 1.7.1.5 Server(s) you were on: LU3

Is it really only once per cd key or is it once per player profile?

Awesome fixes

Our mission right now is to test the game and report bugs. If we can have fun while doing it, that's awesome. We will have to accept bugs and problems. It's not like your losing anything by playing the alpha, except time. And that's time you choose to do with what ever you want. If we would've paid to play DayZ and there would be a lot of bugs, and losses of characters I would see how whining and ranting would kind of be in it's place but now, in this stage of development, it's just rude.

The confusion brought by sniper fire

Oh man, that's just hilarious. -
That's some good reading, thank you!
