Kind of annoying that even if you get the kill they can still disappear their body so you don't get the loot.

Yes. I just killed qumels on US 1236 and the candyass alt-f4'd. I still get the kill in my debug monitor but the loot is gone. He's not showing up on any other server at this point, lol. If he does I'm going to track him down. -
Hackers and graphics glitches at some of the favorite hotspots has taken a lot of the fun out of the mod for a lot of people. I suspect people have stopped promoting the game via word of mouth as well due to one or both of those issues, I know I have. Can't honestly recommend it to anybody in its current shape. I'm sure it'll pick back up once things are a bit better.

I think barbed wire graphic glitches were fixed in one of the recent patches. I haven't gotten glitches from barbed wire in ages, only from the dead soldier models.

20 words or less: Spawning without a weapon

Only presents a challenge to new players. Experienced players have no problem acquiring weapons quickly and relatively safely. I think it might be better for those new players to start with a pistol and a small note that says, "aim for the head, you don't have much ammo." -

You put it in a file and you periodically csum that file. There are lots of things that can be done, that are done by most other multiplayer games. Unfortunately Arma II wasn't built with that in mind. -

I wish ignorant people would stop saying, "It is an alpha." These aren't dayz hcks for fuck's sake, they're Arma II hacks, they're Battleye bypasses. Is Arma II in alpha? NO. Is Battleye in alpha? NO. Rocket doesn't have cheating as as priority because there isn't much he can do about it at a mod level. It is Bohemia Interactive and Battleye who are responsible for securing Arma II, not Rocket, not DayZ. The best, and only real thing Rocket can do at this point is push forward as fast as possible to make DayZ standalone, where it doesn't have to rely upon Arma II. That isn't going to happen overnight. So please, in the name of everything you hold dear, do not say "It is an alpha." unless you want to look like somebody who doesn't have a clue. -
He died, I'm sorry I missed it. Now he is getting owned by zombies. Not so tough without an as50, lol. :D

And once you know that it is no longer a problem. M9 SD shoots high and to the right, but knowing that i find it trivial to headshot zombies with it. As long as you're familiar with the quirks of your chosen weapon they're just another datapoint you factor in when aiming.

Nope. There is no way for a player to determine whether or not a found gun is hacked. You're not going to get banned for using one. New players don't know every gun in the game. No regular players know everything that gets changed in every patch. Battleye might kick you for using one, though.

Fencing accumulates over time since there is a bug that respawns any removed fencing whenever the server is reset. Fencing is great for slowing somebody down long enough to guarantee an easy headshot.

Drive in Boston and you'll hear those sentiments expressed on a daily basis. :) What you're failing to factor into your analysis is that unhappy people are more likely to post about it and post more often than those who are happy. Naturally this will lead to lots and lots of complaints in every forum. This has nothing to do with the validity of the complaints, though. Is there a lot of hyperbole in many of these posts? Sure there is. Does that mean that cheating isn't the biggest issue currently plaguing DayZ? No it does not. Hacking is rampant at the moment. Pretending otherwise is just that: pretending.

No SD ammo available for AKs, puts all of them firmly at the bottom of my list when it comes to choosing an assault rifle.

I feel sorry for anybody who doesn't understand that sniper rifles that 1-hit anywhere on the body are bad for gameplay. The AS50 is point and click, might as well be playing minesweeper for all the skill it doesn't take. Headshot me with an SVD, DMR, M14, etc. and I'll be impressed. Zero in an AS50 and then kill with a hit anywhere takes almost no skill whatsoever. -
Rhinocrunch for edutainment. :) Sacriel's stuff is kind of interesting but they waste a lot of time on "proper" tactics only to get caught with their pants down on a regular basis by people not even half as geared/disciplined as they are. That time they were all looking at the helicopter instead of outwards was hilarious, one guy came in and killed at least half the group, including the helicopter.

Zombies are spawning much to fast. Clearing areas makes no sense - they respawn like in an arcade game! Very unrealistic. This must be changed.

I couldn't tell you since it only took me 2 episodes to realize that it was crappy television not worth my time. I'd rather sleep than watch The Walking Dead. -
Most of the "fixes" floating around are just flushes in disguise. Changing your vsync, changing your video mem settings, etc. "work" because they cause a flush. The only thing I've found to work on a regular basis for me is to get to a point where the graphic corruption is covering most of the screen, then restart the game. Usually if I start inside the problem areas I don't actually have the problem. :)

I don't experience random reboots under load. There is nothing random about dayzcommander causing the router to reboot during a refresh. No other server browser I use does this. I can have ~100+ connections going when seeding a handful of torrents and the router doesn't blink an eye. So yes, I could buy another router in the hopes that it would fix dayzcommander but it quite frankly isn't worth it. People should stop taking stuff like this personally. You're not the browser you choose to run. The simple fact that there isn't a worthwhile configuration on my hardware isn't a personal attack on you. It doesn't devalue your decision to like and use dayzcommander. It just is. Acknowledge and move on. -

A. It didn't have that slider last time I used it. Last time I tried out the browser the author was blaming the issue on "cheap routers" and seemingly uninterested in doing anything to resolve the issue. This morning I got the latest release and gave it another shot. B. Even at 20 it still reboots my router. Perhaps if I set it much lower it wouldn't reboot my router but much slower and it isn't worth using over the built-in Arma II browser. If the Arma II browser is faster than dayzcommander set to 20---and it is---and doesn't reboot my router clearly there is more to it than just the open connections. So while it is great that there is a slider that helps some people it doesn't do jack shit for my router. Have a nice day.
