About Peligrad

  • Rank
    On the Coast
  1. If you started with a decent load out then there wouldn't be much incentive to find things and you wouldn't mind dying as much. The game is setup to make you want to survive. The game is high stakes and that's what makes it interesting. The game is kind of set up in tiers. Zombies are the lowest tier, it doesn't take much to survive against zombies. Players are the highest tier, there is no way to fully protect yourself from players. And in between there are dozens of other challenges...

    I have become a monster..

I've played games before with really good systems like this. The best I've seen is a game called Conquer, which is a terrible game, but has a great PK system. Everyone starts out being a "white named" player. Whenever you kill a "white named" player, you get a PK point. For a duration after attacking or killing a white named player you get "red named" which means people can kill you and not gain pk points. If you get more than 5 pk points you remain red named until you drop below 5 points (it took 30 minutes of in game time to lose 1 pk point.) If you get more than 10 pk points you get black named. Black named players don't get you pk points AND there is a bounty on their head (in that game it was their equipment, but since that already happens maybe they should just take a big penalty on their next lives for a duration or drop a trophy item or something?) At any rate, if this system was in place, you'd know not to trust red or black named players.

    People are horrible.

Even fresh noobs have bandages, pain pills and other supplies that even veterans need. So, you can risk all your gear on a raid where someone equally geared could be lying in wait. Or when you need a bandage, you can sit at one of the popular spawn spots and put a couple secondary rounds into a noob for one. I've only played maybe 2 hours, and only died once- the guy who told me about the game shot me not knowing it was me- so I'm no where near an expert, but it seems like murdering a noob coming out of electro or a market or a hosipital is a whole lot safer than actually going in. I have found a lot more loot off people who fell off things or got sniped or eaten than I have from spawns. People are wandering loot bags. And it only makes sense to take the shot at some good loot if you have the advantage. It's just up to this point all I've found is a couple hatchets and a 2rnd with only 4 shells. Which doesn't make you feel too luck against the guy with the semi-auto.
