Delighted to hear your plans for FinalDayZ Chernarus, fits in with my desired play style. I used to play original DayZ Namalsk more than vanilla until the BS were added. Also loved DayZ 2017 as it had a true post-apocolyptic feel to it. "Zombie pathing, collision, and tracking is "on par" with the mod for now" to be fixed "...after the release of the alpha." That is not good news. -

What you are forgetting is the Mod was broken and full of bugs, so nowhere near a "proper game" and for that reason it was free and I would not have paid any money for it. Also, to play the mod wasn't free either, you either had already purchased Arma 2 or had to buy it, which will have cost money, so a lot of people have already invested cash in Bohemia/Rocket's direction. What I think people are a little hot under the collar about is the higher than expected initial cost of the first release, especially considering it will not be complete and many important issues have not been address yet, I wouldn't have expected a "free" game, but I just think the price initial price point is a tad too high, whould be £7/€8/$11 max. -
...actually, quite the opposite. I play for the long term: a lone wolf out for survival, avoiding contact with players at all costs. DayZ for me has always been about my ability to survive in a post-apocalyse land for as long as possible and not killing players for the sake of it, which I have never done. I understand DayZ Namalsk is an alternative vision of DayZ, but I feel it may go too far and become a different game that just has elements of DayZ as a side note.

It will take more than new textures to make this great game, it's what's underneath the eye candy that's important, and I am sure the devs have that sorted, it's just not as nice to look at! PS: Calm down now fanboys. -

Is that female character the player's choice character? If, so, why are the clothes lighter than the male character's clothes? In the interest of fairness and equality, sureley the clothes should be of the same type, becase those female clothes are way too light and will be easy to spot in the dark surroundings of Chernarus. Something for you to consider before release I think. -
Standard DayZ Namalsk is great, it's the Bloodsucker I loathe, they are stupid, childish, dumb, patheric creations that have no place in DayZ, they totally ruin the game. They need to be removed.

This... Fix the goddam issues that have plagued DayZ since Day1, stop adding more useless crap until you sort out the bugs. Jeez, it's like Rocket never left...

Sumrak, please remove Bloodsuckers in the next update as they have totally ruined what was once the best DayZ experience. They are totally out of character and it feels like I'm playing a 1990's console shooter. I love your map & mod and DayZ Namalsk was what normal DayZ should have been long, long ago. However the recent addition of Bloodsuckers and that flashing event that knocks you unconsious has stepped over a line from awesome PvP/PvE challenge to a daft, fantasy/horror/weird bag of nonsense and has totally put me off playing. I hope you will reconsider these add-ons. Thanks.

Don't take this the wrong way, but the best way to "find the best loot" is to play the game. Travel, search, investigate, learn. Take time to enjoy being in DayZ, don't rush for the top gear in the first few days. You'll appreciate good loot more when you find it by your own means. Good luck....

FR8 - ArmA Portugal [PT] 2012-11-13, 18:20PM (GMt+0) Approx I was attacked by player "FlacoN." but I managed to retaliate and killed them. Whilst I was checking the body, FlacoN. returned to the same location and started attacking me again. I got lucky again and killed them a second time and the body had the same gear as before. They had G17, NVGs, Rangefinders, AS50, Coyote etc. Obviously they should have re-spawned at the coast with starting gear. Also saw in pack they had satchel charges which are not genuine game items. "FlacoN." is a hacker/cheater. I have no pictures or video, but the server logs should show the activity and maybe the kit?

Dayz standalone alpha price

Rocket has stated in numerous interviews the standalone will be using a custom Arma 2 engine, effectivley Arma 2.5, so it could be good or bad depending on what he fixes/adds. Price wise, I will be happy to pay £8/€10/$15 for the Alpha IF Rocket does actually use the minecraft model and give Alpha buyers free updates for life. -

If this is a punishment for Server Hopping, then a clearly defined explanation of "Server Hopping" should have been / be communicated, stating exactly what constitutes a meta-game crime and the ensuing punishment. If it is for continually joining/leaving the same 2 servers, then that's understandable. But, if it punishes players for problems beyond their control (game crash, server crash, chronic fps drop, kicked by admin abuse, ping issue, BE screwing up, etc, etc), then that's totally unacceptable. If this is one of Rocket's "undocumented changes also for the lulz", then I hope he realizes that this kind of unprofessional action will not win him any beans and may harm his credibilty regarding the future standalone game. -

All other players don't get to stay very long do they? The only players on the server for any length of time is the three I mentioned: Altairsim; Maurice and run2go. I tried to join one day and got kicked 3 times, so gave up. Sadly I did not record/SS so cannot get better proof. I will try joining again and record next time. Only 800,000 actual players, so 20% less, which is quite a lot. The big sign on the home page is misleading, should not be "players" but actually "registered accounts", usual marketing BS. Would it be possible to find the number of registered users that have been active in the game in the last 30 days? -

Minus the perma-banned, duplicate accounts of same person, people no longer playing, etc, etc. 1 Million number is irrelevant in real terms, but good for marketing (as if you need it). -
The ping auto kicks

Happened to me this morning, but was suprised at the Ping value of 78 as reason for kick, must have been set at 75 I guess. It was a DE server but sadly I cannot remember which one. I'm in UK, so ping is usually not a problem on European servers. -
