Thing is, it didn't sound like a radio at all and I didn't even have a radio. It came from the complex next to the tower, but it rather sounded like a ticking noise as if someone was using his nails to tick on a rusty pipe or something.
-
Also a question, is there any way to get all the way to the top into the tower of GM?
-
Holy shit brother I heard the morse above at Green Mountain, I kid you not. I was there and heard a weird ticking noise near the complex which repeated itself every few minutes and after listening carefully I figured it must've been morse code.

Actually make that US 249
-
I'm going there now. US 1040. Wish me luck.

No shit, TWS is not even in the game lol -
Another question: How does one obtain Mountain Dew? And @ the poster above me, when do those creatures appear? What do I need to do to summon them? Or is that totally random? (If it's true)
-
Yeah definitely!
-
Yet how come so many people are talking about it like it's real? Just because of the fun?
-
Yet it is a very interesting subject.

Also I have been to Neerg Mountain just now on a night server, 7 minutes before midnight. I've stayed there until just past midnight and nothing remarkable happened despite the fact of hordes of zombies appearing out of nowhere. When I just killed them they just reappeared as if they just left the building. They walk in a line and leave the compound and seem to get aggro'd easily. But besides that there's nothing remarkable there. Am I doing something wrong or am I missing something? Haven't I been there for long enough or haven't I been looking good enough? Someone please tell me! [/url[/media
-
Thanks i'll check it out soon.
-
There's your beans. Where is it? :P
-
Where is that military loot spawn? How does one enter the military building? I can't enter it but zombies seem to come out of that building. (Atleast at daylight, from what I've experienced.)
-
Yeah I am going there by daylight because night is a little bit too frightening to me. If day doesn't work out I'll try night eventually. Also my PC is shit so the resolution of the fraps recording will not be that good !
-
Screw this I'm going to camp Green Mountain for a good few hours and see what happens! I will fraps anything unusual

Works on most veteran servers as well. -
I have read all 3 of them. All 3 of them creeped me out. And indeed I also noticed there isn't many threads about Green Mountain even though it's such an interesting subject. I want to know what happened there. Is there some kind of story behind it? A friend of mine told me just now that the zombie apocalypse supposedly started there.
-
I was actually thinking of visiting the place today but I think this story made me change my mind .....
-
Never found a radio before though.
-
But I've heard of some kind of myth and people finding working radios? I mean is there any evidence of something that there's actually something there? Is it like 'haunted' or anything in that direction?
-
But what is going on there? Can someone point me out the facts?
-
I wonder whether it's a bug or an easter egg the DayZ dev team put in. If it's an easter egg, they should put in more creepy, remarkable shit like this in for the players to discover!

If kevlar is being added it should depend on the distance the shot was fired from and what kind of caliber it was. A 9mm from 20 meters away you should be fine but you should be in shock and require painkillers though, because in real life there is a chance you break a rib or something. Now 9mm wouldn't necessarily cause that however .45 ACP can definately give you a few broken bones and from up close it is unsure whether the kevlar will stop it.
