i thought the reason they had all the players sign on 30 minutes early was to take care of all this sheeot...

i can see the devs adding this feature i can also see the resulting bugs breaking the wasd keys and making movement possible only by rolling with Q and E...

if anything the current inventory bug allows every player in the game instant access to all gear including hacked weapons... if you play on a server long enough you come across camps. i have a notepad with dozens of camp coordinates. if i die i can be fully geared in less than an hour. if i die again i can repeat this using the exact same tents because each time the server resets all the gear in the tents reset as well. watch the Twitch streamers. they all go to the exact same camps every day to load out. the camps always have the exact same stuff as the day before. if this bug was fixed once stuff was taken from a tent it would be gone and people would actually have to play the game as intended. i personally hope all tent/vehicle inventory is wiped clean if and when the "fix" patch ever comes out.

is this problem resolved only by the server going back to 1724? i play on a server using 1725. i assume that if i revert back to 1724 it won't make any difference as long as the server is running 1725... i've lost a SAW and a bunch of jerry cans and vehicle parts since the update...

this i always put junk in it at first (tin cans, ect). after the server resets the stuff is gone. now the tent is safe for real gear. haven't lost an item since i started doing this with new tents...

were these new tents? had your stuff survived previous server resets? i had a couple of tents get wiped out after a server restart, but they were brand new. i read a post stating you should place some junk items (tin cans, ect) in a new tent and then wait for a server reset before using. i did this with my last tent (the junk disappeared) and haven't lost anything since.

was just playing on a server with 1 other person. i was looting a building in Cherno and heard him next door. i called out a couple of times and he did not respond. i sat still so he wouldn't hear me moving. he then entered the building i was in. i was upstairs and heard him drink a soda and eat some food. i called out two more times and told him if he came upstairs i would kill him. he didn't respond and came up the steps. i dropped him. he had a pistol and was examining loot. i have to think he did not hear me... sorry Saladin:Cat... i had no intentions of killing you. that was my 2nd PK with this character (currently Day 11).

i had a couple of tents packed full with gear on US 818. unfortunately, the guys running the server switched providers over the weekend and it looks like i lost all my stuff...

several years ago when the ammo started getting harder to find i bought every box that my local sporting goods store had. i've used a couple boxes shooting skeet since but still have around 20 boxes.

as i read this i look across the room at my gun safe which has a Bushmaster XM15, Romanian WASR 10 (AK47 clone), Romanian ROMAK 3 (SVD clone), Baikal over/under 16 gauge, and a Beretta 96 Brigadier. some of us will have guns when DayZ comes... lol

i found a FN FAL at the one and only crash site i've found. it was awesome for the 1 magazine worth of ammo i had for it. ended up dropping it in a barn for an 1886 as i had no room or tent at the time to keep it. i don't understand making the ammo as extremely rare as the gun. perhaps much more rare than the common ammo, but you should be able to find it in places other than crash sites IMO...

my brother and i both bought the game Tuesday last week. i've been able to play it for around 20 hours. he has logged less than 10. i've had the advantage of being able to play earlier in the morning and afternoons on servers that have very few people. this allowed me to "learn the ropes". his experience has been getting shot by guys camping loot spawns. he got shot a couple of nights ago by a guy that was watching the hospital door in Cherno. he then tried climbing the roof looking for med supplies and was shot by a guy camping the roof. the last time we played we were about 1,000 yards from meeting up for the first time when a guy gunned him down while he was crossing a field coming from a beach spawn. i drilled the guy with a CZ550 and he alt/F4'd... for me the game has been fantastic... for him it has been pretty frustrating.

when i first started playing i would spend the better part of an hour trying to sneak around all of the zeds to loot a few houses. now i find the house i want and just sprint there. i then setup with the hatchet and take out the Z's as they come in. as for pistols, the revolver and 1911 were solid until this last patch. it seems they are no better than the markov now. i put five .45 rounds from a 1911 in a Z last night testing this out. previously it took 2 at most and usually just 1 shot. if this isn't fixed, you will be better off using the 9mm pistols for their higher magazine capacity.

IMO the hatchet is the best PvE weapon in the game...

primary weapons such as the AR's you lost require 10 backpack slots. if you don't have them available the weapon "disappears" for good when you try and place it in the pack. once you find a bigger pack you can keep 10 slots free in order to store your primary and use the hatchet. i've started only carrying a pistol so i can use the hatchet as a primary until i'm able to find a better pack. i can take out an entire town of zeds quietly with the hatchet. after a few shots from most of the in game guns you will start to get overrun and in trouble. not to mention other players hear the gunfire and come running...

i've lost track of how many hours i've been alive with my current guy (have over 200 Z kills), but i'm still stuck on the starting pack. i have a tent that is completely full (including 2 shottys, AKM, and Uzi). since i don't have room for a second primary i'm just using the hatchet and an Uzi. i played several hours packing the AKM around, but it just wasn't working when i got cornered by zeds. i can use the hatchet and take out a whole town undetected. the Uzi is in case i run into another player (hopefully at close range). would give anything to find a better pack... to the original question: 2 painkillers 2 bandages 1 morphine 2 cooked meats 2 water bottles 6 PDW mags

well, for the 3rd time in 3 days i am in need of a morphine injection. i have somehow developed severe osteoporosis... Trout saved me last night in Komarovo. after he patched me up i walked 200 yards into an industrial building. while trying to walk on the metal catwalk i got stuck on a corner. i just kept trying to move forward and fell over with a broken leg.......... i'm at 35, 131 on the first floor of the multi story industrial building. it is located at a dead-end line of railroad tracks just up from the beach. my goal is to eventually find a 24 slot pack, make it to a hospital, and fill it with morphine injections...
