to my knowledge the zeds/infected in dayz, is more the kind of "mindless" people that lost all their human nature to this "infection - virus thing" not the kind of zombies that stick their hands out of the graves at night. so its perfectly realistic that they will react to stuff humans would. at least thats how i see the zeds/infected in DayZ :) hope this gives you an idea.

in his recent interview with machinima, he told us he thinks it will be ready around late september - october, not confirmed. the interview with rocket starts a couple of minutes in. interresting interview. just sit and listen, answers many questions.

a good advice is to keep of the very populated servers like 70 man and 50 man servers that are almost full. it seems to be where most hackers find find their fun, more targets to hurt and such.

when someone hacks, just leave the server, that way he cant kill you alright ;).. also i dont think your innocent seems like there is a part of the story missing here.

try making a new ingame player profile. it changed some options for me, if im not wrong..

by now seeing the comments you should be aware your "solution" wont ever work. and since you question wether there will be coast snipers. i believe you havnt played Dayz for long.

being in the north area on a server and then a friend cant join your server because of various problems. then trying to join a new server, letting you spawn on the coast just to get coast sniped when you decked out in gear. this is a HORRIBLE solution.. or not solution, destruction i mean. it would break the teamplay in the game into pieces and make everyone be on the coast always.

i think they cost like 3$ in my local store.

no... spawning at the coast everytime you join another server.. just no.. no, and more no.... not a solution. just a game breaker.

realism in games are good, but too much realism breaks it.. and what your are writing is "too much realism"

the thing is, some hackers WARPS hacked weapons to your hand. i tried this before i was teleported up ontop of a silo, and lost all my gear, and i suddenly had a g36c in my hand, which i never picked up. there were no way down, and all the other players was ported up aswell.. i got banned like 2 minutes after for using a hacked weapon, which THE HACKER warped into my hands.. BANNED FOR NOTHING... that just a thing to think of next time banning someone with a hacked weapon..

there is no such thing as friendly in dayz anymore... today i saw a guy running around with nothing with zombies after him, he ran up to me, and i shot all the zombies... there was a hatchet on the ground, which i let him loot.. i run into a house and start looting some pepsi, when suddenly he is slashign away in my back and breaking my legs with the hatchet. he spamhits me and kills me... only to get my makarov and a double shit shot gun... sigh...

Veteran servers <3 all the way. dont play servers with nametags and stuff. its just lame - filter all this off with the awesome dayzcommander launcher.

http://dayzdb.com/database/equipment not on dayzdb. seems hacked in. i found a _L118 sniper before in stary tents, some hacker just puts stuff sometimes.

its not legit. its a hackers weapon. get it destroyed in a full backpack so it brings no harm.. TWS is way too powerrful for it.

video memory to default - also if you see these artifacting and glitches, change your 3D resulution to something else so your screen loads, and then back to the original. should fix it. works EVERYTIME for me and everyone i know.
