Thanks, I didn't think so.

Since you can zero to 1000m, the chevrons are actually for targets over 1000m, each one being an additional interval of 100m. At least, according to the wikipedia. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PSO-1#Bullet_Drop_Compensation_elevation_turret Can anyone confirm that they actually coincide with 200, 300, 500, 700 meters as well?

What's the current hacking status like in DayZ:SA?
Bororm replied to RadikulRAM's topic in General Discussion
I suggest getting away from Berezino and the Neaf guys, while it doesn't solve everything and it sucks because it leaves few options left to encounter legitimate players, those are by far the worst spots. Hackers seem pretty lazy and stick to where the most people are. -

I agree, if anything it should be compared more to a proper mmo. Yes hacking exists even in those games, but I was never killed by a guy teleporting around or doing anything very serious in most mmos I've played. Duping is always an issue in these types of games, but straight hacks not so much. I have confidence they'll eventually work this shit out, but I think they need to focus a bit harder on it. It's extremely common right now. -
Item manipulation hacked server? Did this happen to you too?
Bororm replied to Captain Swag's topic in General Discussion
This happened to me tonight as well. I don't know the server, me and 2 buddies all our stuff just started disappearing off us, as if some one was taking all our gear. I got left with my hat/backpack but my 2 friends lost everything. 2 other friends were a ways away from us, we told them to log out and when we all switched servers they were dead. Nothing definitive there, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were related (guy teleporting too or whatever). Unfortunately I was not recording, I need to record more in general. So I just watched that, the thing is this happened to me on stable. I haven't had it happen before, and there haven't really been any real updates for a while. It could be a clone thing I guess, but I dunno. I also wasn't knocked out or killed when I lost my stuff. -

Encountered a cool hack today. Me and two friends were near Kraz/the neaf at a fountain. Then all our gear started disappearing off our characters till we were naked. Pretty bogus. -
It might be a good spot if they hadn't added a spawn point right in it.
-
I do it because I don't care if I die, and I play to pvp so why should I back off from a fight. My success rate isn't bad and it's fun. The only time I don't bother is if guys are glitching in walls, and some times even then I'll give it a go.
-
I also hate twitter, a lot, and it sucks that you have to wade through their crap to find info sometimes.

Bikes are for children and hippies, I will ride my horse and look like a badass thank you very much. Then be very sad when it gets shot and dies.

It's not a brand new engine, they're talking about the one they've been working on this entire time. Rocket is just bad at clarifying things/people just get too hyped up.
-
It's definitely not as good of a way of getting attention on a topic as any of the other methods I mentioned. Rocket has said he prefers reddit, because of the way it works, where the "better" comments rise to the top due to the voting shit they got going on. Twitter is probably a fairly shitty method, but I've seen a lot of tweets responded to personally. The feedback tracker is likely the best method, as stated by Rocket. The suggestion forum is better than this forum. The bottom line is, Gews wasn't making a suggestion, he was having a little complaint yet again about realism. I was merely pointing out, this is a video game, not everything is a perfect representation of real life. Some people are way too serious.
-
The feedback tracker? Reddit? Twitter? Hate to break it to you, but the devs hardly give a shit about this forum. If you wanna spin your wheels about something, that's cool, sitting around wondering why they added a compensator when it doesn't function exactly like it does irl just seems pointless to me. It has a function in game, which loosely resembles what it's meant to do irl, it's an incomplete system to begin with. What's the point? Seems like moaning for the sake of moaning to me. Suggestion forum might be a little better too.
-
I've seen him before say he "rages" over stuff like weapon calibers being wrong, so I'm just trying to look out for his sanity =P This game is never going to have the level of realism some people seem to want. Rocket has said he wants attachments that are shared between multiple weapons, we're going to see things that aren't necessarily realistic. So if you're all about super realism, then yeah, DayZ may not be the game to be playing. Exactly, we don't know what will change, so why worry about it now?
-
It matters, just not as much as you want it to, because it's a video game. But, way to only choose extremes. DayZ may not be the game for you if you get bent out of shape over trivial stuff.
-
It's pretty useful in game man.
-
As far as I know there's no god mode hack, thank god. Probably lag, have had it happen myself.
-
They've created an attachment system, they want to make attachments. The game revolves around finding/using loot. More loot means more gameplay options. It's a video game, so they added attachments to a gun that may be unnecessary/impractical/whatever irl, but in the game it gives something to do. Your question was why did they add it, it's useless irl. The answer is, because it's a video game, not rl.
-
Because it's a video game, not real life.
-
good pve compliments good pvp and vis versa.

Nah, it's getting bad. I hope they address it soon, it's making the game super boring. They supposedly have fixes for wall glitching and ammo duping at least, but I dunno what's taking so long for them to implement it. -
Everything that's wrong with DayZ servers in one picture.
Bororm replied to FrostDMG's topic in General Discussion
I have to switch servers multiple times every play session because they're always dropping within minutes of joining, since they all seem to run really short resets. It's pretty lame. Hope they get loot respawning in soon, at first I didn't mind much, but now it's been long enough that they really should have it in. -

Sick of cheaters myself. Hope it gets addressed sooner than later, makes some places basically pointless to visit, like neaf and berezino. NEAF has people in the walls, 9/10 times I visit, Berezino has the legitimate teleporting type of hackers a good portion of the time. Games getting pretty boring lately because of it, for me personally. -
