Because DayZ is a survival simulator I think that using 3rd person view to look around corners and over objects is akin to playing Amnesia The Dark Descent with M4A1's modded in. That's a bit of an extreme comparison but it gets the point across. The reason I don't like separate servers is because (as I stated previously) there will be nearly no players in the first person servers. It's very hard to get people to come over to 1st person view because: A:It takes away a crutch they've gotten used to over the course of several months. B:People in general don't like change.
The only issue with this is that the 1st person hive will have 10% the player count as the 3rd person hive. Personally I hope he removes 3rd person view all together (If they keep it in for running I guess that's OK). I feel that 3rd person completely undermines the feeling of DayZ. When you're in 1st person mode you're unaware of your surroundings, you're not in control, and you're a lot more paranoid. When you're in 3rd person you know exactly where everything is and how it's situated. You know whats over that wall and around that corner.
While you are correct that DayZ can get somewhat tiresome with a lack of an end game, ideas 1,2, and 4 are completely awful. Idea 3 is agreeable, and idea 5 isn't really that much of an issue.
