Why? Because you don't want to run from kamenka and spam the respawn till you get to Cherno, Elektro or Prigorodky? Man up and grow balls, the game is intended to be hard, everything that could ease it gets fixed and players that do not want to give effort to survival start to bitch around. Stop playing the mod if you cant handle it man, really. To all others: I am no moderator but I hate reading through this thread every time i open it. 90% of posts consist whining about how bad everything is and that Rocket should fix it. You guys really seem to think that mod is a weekend fun activity to code huh? I once tried modding for the Gothic series, and that was easy against ArmA II, after two Month, coding three hours every day beside school and work, I had just made 15% of a mod that had 30 minutes of playtime in the end. It's not like coding a mod is fun, it's hard work, as well as coding a whole game, only advantage is, that you don't have to mind the engine because it's allready there. Millions of lines of code, hours of testing just to trash your work and start again because there are faults in it, trying to find faulty lines while your eyes burn from the screen, headaches, I know the drill. So, if you whine about the graphics glitches, fps issues or such, allways think that there is only a small team that takes care of it and that fixing the problem takes a huge amount of time, not just snipping your fingers and voila, done. I repeat myself: This Mod is fuckin' sweet work and I would gladly contribute by coding for you guys, but the community is 90% whiners and only 10% people who apreciate the hard work you do. A hiotfix in 4 days? Thats 3000% faster than any developer works and they got even more resources. Just wait people, try to discuss the problems rather than just give Rocket the "fuck you man, i want to play, work for my pleasure, SoaB!" it does not help, it does not make coding easier and on top of all it is just unfair from you guys to question Rocket so much, just because you cry and quit the game as soon as errors occure. Alpha is a magical word, a fine description for something other people would call: Hell on earth. WE test, THEY code, WE tell, THEY work but in the process is absolutely no room for millions of comments that complain about patch deployment. As long as it does not help the mod, STFU and GTFO from this thread, this is discussion, not psycological-phone support. As for the discussion: The errors are known and will be fixed. Zodiac13's solution with shift+minus key and then typing flush works most of the time for me, not all servers seem to support it though. Try that or restarting your game and setting the video memory to default, if it does not work, search for another server, a lot dont have problems at all while others have a crap load (maybe every server should be restarted more frequently to flush the graphics of the server rather than users flushing theirs) Thats all folks, for all that contribute: I love you, fo all whiners and short-term posters: I hate you from the depths of my heart!

I only permit ghosting when dealing with camping cherno-newb-killer pussies (sneak behind them). Lame ghosting, dcing and stuff in a real firefight is so not badass, they lol but will never have the experience we got. Lame ass pussy he was, but its common sadly...

After a terrible Trade today (ran into hackers, not sure if trader or not) I managed to get the ghillie I wanted from there. Currently I have a Ghillie and a FN-FAL PVS-4 ready, so if ANYBODY has a spare tent, that might be what you get! Let me know and I will take you onto a server and trade the stuff with you! I have a nice NVG waiting for the first fellow survivor to either PM me or reply here. The trade is reasonable, because nvg's are not as common as ghillies, i just was unlucky to find one (allways looted and civi left) Rules, conditions and beans follow after you give the word. So, who wants to deal? ;)

Listen here n00bs, I heared so much whining about trading, ran into a failed trade myself and managed to do some great deals with great survivors (There will be a thread to come with all the names and reputations, stay put). So, here are some tips and rules for you, if you want to trade safely and make things easier for both parties: "Lonewolf" If you want to go entirely on your own, thats your way of approach, be safe, trade, get out of there, simple but effective. 1.) Find your trading partner by sending him a PN on the forum, telling him "X for Y or maybe even Z" - That's the simple part. 2.) From the initial PM on, try to talk to him a bit and estimate his behaviour - DONT EVER react on somebody who seems to be forcing you to do the trade HERE AND NOW and annoys you from the beginning, just leave. 3.) When everything is clear and you estimated the person as a friendly, figure out a server you can set up camp or use your previous camp to stash ALL of the stuff you don't want to loose if things go bad. - Just take the stuff you want to trade with you, even hide your backpack in a tent if wanted. 4.) Use an area where players are mostly unlikely to go anyways, like the far West or East End of the map - THAT ensures you to have some peace and guiet to do the deal. 5.) ALLWAYS agree on going in unarmed, both parties, - when nobody has to look into a loaded gun things are not so tense 6.) Do the deal and then walk away in a fast pace, i.e. one to the North and one to the South, just part ways in two directly different directions. Then, after a few minutes, disconnect from the server and be happy with your new stuff! "Group" If you dont like going alone, this is your way of approach. Pack a friend who provides overwatch, make the deal and get out of there. Not so simple because there ARE guns directed to your face, but i never said easy come easy go, right? right?? 1.) Then, after a few minutes, disconnect from the server and be happy with your new stuff! I hope that settles your concernes, all in all you WILL have to put some faith in your partner and in some point you will be betrayed and loose, but thats how things work. I for myself traded with a few of you (maybe reading this) and i did not even think about betrayal one second, neither did I think of betrayal from your side. The failed trade I hade, where a Hacker got me seemed fishy and I should have listened to my own rules instead of being a total retard and just go in. In the process I lost my own gear and the one of a friends of mine so now i prefer the lonewolf tactic, but everyone likes it different. Me loosing my gear should be evidence enough that you have to, just in real life, think things through carefully, even if it sounds good, hesitate a bit and think, thats all I want, then follow the steps and you will even make some friends in the process. If a mod comes across this thread: Pin it maybe? That's why it should considered "Tips" but in fact, it's rules for people who do not want to get shot. Interesting... Did I mention I have somewhat like "authorities" in any line of the post? But if you think it's meaningless, go ahead, I wont stop you :) Thank you! :) Yep, it would be better if we had one bigger trading group than a few smaller ones. Maybe they will make up to it like the white list medics, but till then every serious group may ensure safety :)

Oh, by the way, allmost forgot to mention: There are designated Trading Groups popping up on the forum, which want to ensure your safety while trading. Look around and contact them if you want to have neutral protection for your stuff! You can find them in the Survivor HQ, thats the easiest way to do a rade if both "Lonewolf" and "Group" are not what you like! :) Thank you! :) All I want to do is help people make this game somewhat better than it is right now. Too much insecurity, distrust and banditry, maybe if we all remember some basic things, this will reduce slightly :)

Such trades are done by some simple rules, everyone comes unarmed, into a non populated server AND area, before that you talk to him, your human knowledge will let you know if friendly or not. You go there WITHOUT anything else than the tradable objects and stash your precious stuff in a tent on another server. Thats it, nothing to loose, if it goes wrong you loose what you wanted to trade and a bit of faith in humanity and thats it, your other stuff remains unharmed. Not that hard, isn't it?

This whole discussion about the CQF... You know, I was part of the CQF and now I am no more, but only because I lack the time to be productive for the group. So I was on another server yesterday, doing a trade and that server got hacked. I knew who it was because I saw him (unfortunately my fraps did not work at all...), but lets not get offtopic. Right after the hacker did his thing and killed me and a buddy, people started stating it was "the bad {cdf}" (our tag today) and that we are claiming fals by naming the hacker directly in side chat. My point: Whoever whines about the CQF might be a bit right, the group itself is tight and does NOT disconnect or grief, there might be a few members beeing dumbfucks, but not the whole group. YOU are just stating it's CQF in general because you only see the tag and HATE that there are people gaming together while you are all alone, only griefing and ghosting. YOU know how griefing and ghosting looks like, because you do it yourself. YOU state things you can't prove, but because it happened on a CQF server it automatically must have been the CQF and all other survivors are friendlies but not the CQF? Wtf is wrong with your brain? Second thing: Disconnecting might be bad, I don't do it myself because I rage upon those who do it, but there is absolutely no point in giving the whole group the shitz only because there are some pricks using this exploit. Duping? Heck, even if did, wtf does it concern you? If there is duping you could (and probably would if you had a tent or vehicle) do the same thing, so give us all some rest and stop complaining. It's not right but it can be done, e-basta, I say: EVERYONE once used it, so don't judge others if you did the same eventually. Scripting: NOBODY at CQF scripts stuff, never ever, thats why the CQF admins keep Battle-Eye updated and SEARCH for players hacking extensively, so quit that point immidiately, really. Another Alt+f4 concerning point: Learn to aim and kill fast, that's all I can say to that, spraying your gun at someone is as bad as disconnecting, really, if you "bandit" can't kill during the first three shots you are not even worth a makarov mag ;) Thats all peeps, hate me, hate me naow, for I just told you the things you did not even want to hear, rage upon me, quote me, call me dumb or faggot, because my box of fu**s to give is empty and you wont even receive the slightest "give a f***nes" from me anyways, whiners.

... And here the discussion may start. I know, I know, "get out there and find your own Sniper you prick!" but let me explain... First, there was the Idea to raid NWAF, SEAF, NEAF, Mili-Camps in Stary, Mili-Camps in Cherno, Deerstands, finding helicopter crash sites... the usual stuff as you may know... and here comes the problems: We have been playing for 3 weeks now, found in 3 weeks of every-day-i-am-gambling style, solo and togehter, exactly only three helo sites, all raided, not even a FN FAL was there anymore... We have been on so many servers, have died while searching for the sites and we (i should explain: we, that means a three man survivor squad who DO NOT kill people on sight and just try to play the game seriously...) are a bit depressed about the fact, that there are so many empty spawn points. I mean, three weeks, running all over the map, finding only three helo's in consecutive search, that is somehow unfair... The Barracks housed some solid M4A3 CCO's but no sniper was found, the mili camps housed some solid M16A2's and AK74-Cobra's but no Sniper was found. The Mili-Camps in Cherno housed some MP5's but no snipers. I am getting a bit desperate because I am used to sniping in ArmA 2 and i am pretty good so I was initially assigned squad sniper and saviour from bandit attacks but I dont even happen to find a god damn CZ550 wherever I go. I know, many of you might say "well, bad luck" or "stop complaining, it's the game" but for me it is very depressing to start into a new day, searching the whole map and not finding ANY sniper. I dont want an AS50 or M107 instantly, all I want is a DMR or something, something I can work with, but all I find are AR's and flares as it seems. Even the damn deerstands didn't spawn any and somehow I get the feeling DayZ wants to troll me with that. I dont have much at the moment, because I died recently but if there is anybody out here in the Survivor HQ who has a good soul and could hook me up with a Sniper I would hand everything i found later on gladly right over to you.... You know, I know this might sound like a set up for an ambush, I am not dumb myself, so if anybody wants to take the risk hit me up for Skype or Steam and you can get to know me better before giving it a go. I ENSURE YOU I WONT DO ANYTHING STUPID you just need to understand: I long for a sniper and wherever I go, there does not spawn any -.- I wont be mad if there is nobody who wants to do it, i wont even be mad for bad comments and calling me names because I can think of how this all looks like... I am just asking and I know a lot of you guys have camps, tents or vehicles stuffed with cool stuff ;) I just want to find a good survivor, maybe we can even play together if you like me, in that way i can repay the favour later...

Sinfulsebastian told me you were a medic and I really apreciate your work :) The trade was good and I am glad you found your way to this thread, alongside sinfulsebastian I now know two more friendlies I can count on when I need help and you two now know that I am trustworthy too :) That's what it is all about: Building up a certain level of trust! Sinfulsebastian, he is my hero now. He has proven a good Survivor and a friendly to all Players that deserve it! Let me tell you our story: You know that two bridges behind Kamenka? Yeah? Well, today there was a trade going down! In exchange for that precious DMR he got, I was sent to deliver some stuff to a guy I had to meet on the bridge, in exchange for a tent I gave the items to him. Yeah, he used me as a bait and I would have been the one that should have died if the other guy brought some friends and it was my life at risk, but i took that just because i wanted to. And as for now, I would do it again without even asking! Smoothly and with overwatch by Sinfulsebastian the deal went down and afterwards I made my hike back to him. As promised I gave him the tent from the guy, he dropped off the DMR with three clips and our ways parted after the successfull trade. parted you say? Maybe for now, but not for long. We can gladly say now, that we have found other friendly survivors and if you ask me, he now has my eyes, my trigger finger and, on top of all, my beans!
