    Weather

It is sunny at times I believe, I was on a server last night when it was near dark and the sky had a bluish-purplish tinge. So no, it isn't always overcast. I think.
  2. Don't climb a ladder when you know a player is hot on your heels?

    New Player Here!

I don't think I ever use quick match, just picking servers myself. Anyway, have fun, and don't get attached to your gear.
  4. And one particularly caught my eye, it was this one: http://www.vadejuegos.com/imagenes/2011/07/15/arma3_screenshot_vadejuegos_001.jpg I was thinking about what that could mean for DayZ if it was ported over to ARMA 3. NOW, to avoid thread pitfalls on this topic, I will say this: Let's just speculate that DayZ was ported over to ARMA 3, for the purposes of this thread. There, now that's resolved. Anyway, I was thinking, wouldn't it be cool, if you could find a diver's suit, or at least parts of it, scattered around the map, especially in military places. Once assembled, you would have air and nitrogen canisters that you would have to fill occasionally. So what would the benefits be? Perhaps it could be a movement speed increase in the water and under, and zombies couldn't really follow you too far. Just a possible theory, don't take this too seriously. So discuss, what do you think?

    Character bound to server?

I'm going to say no because some people out there will undeniably derp and forget the number/name of the server, therefore losing their progress and getting butthurt.

So I was looking through ARMA 3 Screenshots...

True, I didn't think of that, a downed submarine with some airlocked crates with goodies.

    DayZ Stories

My friend and I regrouped in Pusta after dying, and we were heading up the road towards another town, we were talking on skype, just kind of a free, laughing talk to pass the running time. All of a sudden, I hear whistling. I ask my friend if it was him, he says no, and I yell to hit the dirt. We both had headphones on, and we tried to guess the position of the whistler, but we couldn't (We were in the middle of an open field, with some bunches of trees on our sides). We were dead quiet for a minute, and we realized that whoever it was was humming the Jaw's theme. We ran the hell out of there fast.
  9. Blue chemlights are the best because they only have a visible range of 35m. If you find one, make sure it's blue. Red is the second highest, green is the highest visibility. (If at night of course.) If it is night, careful where you wave your flashlight, it can attract players and zombies.
  10. Try to find a barn, or a small town first. Barns especially have some good starting weapons and supplies. Avoiding Zed's is simple, go prone in some grass, and see if your sight indicator is at none. They will not find you unless you are right next to them. (It may be slow, but it works.) Sometimes you can find Canteens in enterable houses, you can fill those up at ponds, which is basically an infinite source of drink. Can't think of anything else right now, good luck.

The War Z - DayZ copy?

While I like RPG's and such, the calling of DayZ is the challenge. This War Z game looks like it took the DayZ formula and dumbed it down for a broader audience, which removes the challenge of a true DayZ game. I will probably not be buying it. My 2 cents.
