Yea, top 10 on steam due to DayZ. Back to the point, check out this and you can see which houses are enterable. BTW Arma would have to update the map, not DayZ.

Hard to believe 225 square km would even run on a console. It won't happen, consoles won't run it. Maybe the PS4 and the new XBox will be able too, but that won't be for a while.

You are the type of person I would like to see more of. People should have some morality and think about who they are killing. If it is a new person and you help them out, maybe they will help you out if you meet again. This is the direction I would prefer DayZ to move to. +1 for allowing me to have faith in DayZ

How would I do that? I know how to take screenies but not put DayZ in windowed mode. This would help me with my videos and livestreams.

Works for me, I'll add it :P Yea this would be for standalone, attract some achievement hunters. I will add the surviving to the list aswell.

I would suggest offroad and plains with no loss, road +10%, forest -5%, hills -10% and sand -10%

The game would turn to crap and the esrb rating would skyrocket with cannibalism. Aside from that, the console won't even be able to run it.

Skyrim is 41.4 square kilometers, Chernarus is 225 square kilometers. Skyrim has problems running, imagine DayZ. I can tell you for sure that it wont run faster than a paraplegic. Maybe the next generation console can run it, but until then, tough luck.

IMO, watches are useless. Most servers have their GMT listed so anyone with basic knowledge of timezome conversions (or basic addition/subtraction) can find out what time it is. Also, after you have played for a week, you should know the basic sun pattern on servers, and even know which direction you are going at all times.

Same thing with food, don't ever be without at least 2 cans of food. When one runs out, you have a backup until you get more. After canned foods move on to cooked meat and do the same. I like to have 3 cans of food and 3 sodas just to be safe though. -

If you hate realism, you still have to play by it. In real life, if you know that big cities will have bandits, your instinct is to NOT GO NEAR BIG CITIES. Go to small villages and find food and water there, and maybe the barn ahead will get you an enfield or a shotgun. Then make your way to other areas in the woods, pick off people who come your way and get their stuff. -
Try a different server, maybe that is the problem.

Yea, I only play with real-life friends. One of them always plays, while 2 others play with me when they can. That way you can always be sure that you have backup.

Hate to say it, but this is completely true. Apparently 1/6 people are bandits, i think this is BS. Even if that stat is true, the other 5/6 would become a bandit at any chance they get. -
Are you playing on LAN? Because those characters are saved per-server.

Only happens when I Alt + Tab. Just press w again and voila! -
If you are with a group and approach a single player, use your mic and say "Join us, let us pass, or leave the area, or else we will outgun you" If the other person is armed, and you aren't, hide or run. If you are armed and the other isn't: Judge, jury and executioner. If you are both unarmed: Split up, most likely if you and that player go the same way, the first chance at a gun he gets he will gun you down. If you are armed and he is too: Run or gun? That is the question.

Yes, yes. I notice that I can barely see the blue chemlights, but the red ones stand out more. If you are close to your allies or alone use blue, if you are a medium distance away use red, and if you like getting shot at use a flare ;) Nice site too, checked it out and it has a nice layout. You guys should too.
