When the server files are released, will they support Linux?

It is fine to alter your timezone offset on public servers. I've confirmed over IRC with a member of DayZ team. It is NOT okay to alter the day/night cycle though.

I am surprised you chose to appeal here as this is one of the last places I'd check for such things as we have our own forums and website to do this on. But it doesn't look like it matters as you have found another server to play on.

Private hive servers are not officially supported. Why are you asking about them here?

Not to flame nor stir any problems, I understand this reasoning behind the restrictions. But doesn't this put the burden of updating certain server files back on your company for all of your DayZ servers? Why not have your customers go through the registration process, which will allow them to keep the server updated as they need.

Likely your host needs to update hive. waiting for host seems to happen if you update dayz to 1.7.2.4 without updating hive.

I am also getting sick of these "Admin Abuse" threads.

I'm also having the same problem and was whitelisted a couple days ago (Sunday).

Its threads like this that make me really hesitant to buy a game server with any company that does not provide full remote access to the game servers in some shape or form.

Problem is, if there is an exploit found hackers will abuse it. There is only so much we as server admins can do to stop the hackers.

There are a lot more servers now, please relax.
