    When u go prone i noticed both the ear and the eye bars go to 0 does that mean the zeds simply will not c u no matter how close you get?

    When i start dayZ i noticed right off i have no gun, so i cant get into a town to loot a building without being killed by zombies. I have tried finding a few deer stands, but both of the ones i looked for i could never find even though i looked at an online map and constantly checked my surroundings. So i would like to ask: How should i start off in dayZ? how can i find a weapon? plz help this poor noob who has no idea what hes doing :)
