*facepalm* about this game being realistic. You do realize its still a game? The only semi realistic part is the shooting mechanic. Everything else - a game. And it doesnt make sence in the sence of this mod. Yes I get that this is a game yes. I was simply stating the fact if you compare it to the other games in its genre it is the most realistic and that BI also Developed the VBS2 which much of this game is based on. And also Arma 2 is a Sim not a game

Hi I'm the operator of US121 it seems the last to patches have just caused my server to crash. Now is anyone else been having this issue and is there anything as admin i can do to fix it?

I agree. my clan mates and i are considering getting a server but this one of the sticking issues for us we want a place where we can play together but whats the point of paying for your own server when the people helping you pay for it can't get on.

Chicago 37 has been locked for a few hours today with 3 people on it, and yesterday was locked for a few hours yesterday also with two people on the server. I have reported this to their host also

I'm almost positive that the reason that happens is they are on the same box so when the box gets restarted all the hardcore servers will go down

you people say its breaks immersion why are you looking at the bottom left hand corner of your screen? I rarely don't ever see it. Matter of fact I haven't seen or pay attention to it has gotten me blasted before so I honestly don't know what you are complaining about when you say it breaks immersion. I kinda find it sad when you say you want immersion in a military simulator, if you are that desperate for immersion do the real thing and get off the computer.

Using your logic every-time someone wants to use their server that they pay for to film (which I believe they where doing in this case) one must allow dicks to join their server and risk them not being able to shoot without getting shot in the back by a dickhead. People today have become so entitled the moment someone blocks your access to something you get enraged and cry to mommy about how things are not fair and that you need mommy to fix it for you. If you feel so wronged instead of complaining, why do you organize a boycott or something of said server(s) where you think admins are being unfair because civil disobedience or in this case avoiding servers gets more then just standing around and yelling at the top of your lungs.

I say no just because look at the interest that this has brought into ARMA why should it be risked alienating players who don't normally play the way we do. If we continue trying to make this as realistic as possible we run the risk of growing the community at this point. We shouldn't change it because this a mod in the alpha stage why should we be worrying about server settings when we should be more worried about making the game work right. Ive seen so many people have bugs they should report but they don't because they are to lazy to take a moment from playing to report it.
