Deisel If you look at the locomotives that are already in the game they are basicly the russain copy of the GP-7 and GP-9s. I would be cool to have a working loco with working swtiches and and everything with a bunch of cars you can ride the train and raid every place lol. -

So basiclly this according to the media is now a murder simulator. I really think this is more reason that proves that modern media/news is out of touch with reality. And to be quite honest I was surpised when I clicked the article and it was about DayZ I was expecting it to be about GTA. What are your toughts about, is it a fair assetment, this man says no. Note: Yes I found the Drudge Report, Yes I am considered Right Wing, but please don't Blame the source of where I found it stick to the Article I linked.

They do know how to make a game. This is a complex game, that in many ways maybe ahead of its time, and building the architecture for a game like this from the ground up can take a few years, the fact that they have a somewhat playable state it think it shows they have made real progress. You be amazed at what you can learn by reading books. I just gotta say this man knows how to cook a ribeye. -
It proves my point that I said earlier in this thread that we are jumping the gun and we need to wait longer into the development process to discuss this issue.

This is me laying prone in the 1st person scoped in how am I am able to operate at this time if there say someone I've been stalking and I lay in ambush for them and i go to fire and this happens? This supports what i said earlier that this discussion is way to soon speaking from where we are in the development process. Also if you scope up and are moving your player model glitches through your LOS, so again lets agree to disagree and visit this again later in the development process.

Not much at all unless its a specialized mission, and you try to take out an engine of a truck caring a PKM or DShK.

You said EA is turned BF into a realistic war promoting brainwashing anything, but yet you brought Arma 2 for DayZ from a company that sells a simulator to the Military Market? Let them working on game mechanics before we all judge sounds. The sunrays don't look like a rip off to me. The weapons models seem to be differently textured Arma 2 models. IMO ARMA 2 graphics when I was playing DAYZ at least for me felt a little cartoony. I think they did some really good work on the environment the ship was there in ARMA 2 also it just wasn't enterable. Ive personally never had performance issues so far. I just built a new system so I cant compare it to my laptop. The pricing is fine if you look at it this way, the game will most likely have a 60 Dollar US price point, your basically getting it half off, and learning about the game development process in the process. -

Actually I feel this whole issue should wait for a long time, I feel we shouldn't even be discussing this until further along in the development process. There are more pressing issues to fix before anything else, like for instance, buildings that where not enter able in the mod that are now, you log out inside you will spawn below the structure and have to crawl your way out like a contortionist.

I'll grant you that point, that it would silly but as of right now thats the only way it would work unless you forced(Theres that word again.) people into FP when they are where a gas mask or something. I wasn't refering to gas masks in the mod, I was to how Night Vision works in the Arma 2 and the mod in 3rd person.

1 helmets/mask/glasses etc don't limit FOV like they would or should, like your backpack does. 2. sometimes FP control can feel clunky, and cumbersome to make proper movements(at least from my experience.). IMO one way to fix the issue is to fix sound and make sound directional, if im camping in say a house i should be able to hear the back door open and track their movements and try to set up to attack. Fixing sound imo will help balance it. You can corner camp in Americas Army because of sound, you could easily do it here in DayZ in FP. just some of my two cents.
