The DayZ PC is the toughest and weakest game character ever. He can run non-stop for hours, but can starve to death the same day he eats 3 cans of peaches, 6 apples, 4 cans of pop and a potato. He can shrug off a bullet to the leg with a stick and a rag, yet 10 seconds of rain chills him to the bone and soaks all of his clothes. ;)

They really need to add an option to disable the notification spam in the bottom left corner. I'm being harassed by temperature notifications every 10 seconds. Here's some news: I don't give a flying fukk. I'll press tab if I need an update.

They must be just testing the variables. I had hypothermia in the cold rain, but a few minutes in a house brought me back to 'cold' status. Can anyone confirm if lighting a fire warms you up?

I love seeing people rocking the mountain packs in hardcore. Stalking them is almost a joke!

Ever dumped all your gear in a bush then run to nearby area to AFK? Could be a bit of insurance. Does stuff left on the ground stay till server restart?

No, he's still alive from before the patch. I've got 6 mags for it and an ammo box full of nato ammo for it. Needless to say I'm playing him in mega paranoid mode.

My reg has an AKM (no drum :( ), FNX, Sawn-off, walther 9mm and splitting axe. My h/c has a M4, Moisin, FNX, Sawn-off and fire axe. There is no overkill :D

Are they working again? They seemed to be firing just a single pellet last time I fired one. A sawn-off should have a cone o' death in front of it.

I like to carry a couple to give to trusted freshies or newly spawned in friends but I can't really say I've ever used one in battle if I had a proper rifle available.

Yep, AK shots are to DayZ players like blood in the water is to sharks. I've held on to mine for over a month now, likely only because I don't linger after killing someone. Chalk it up to a learning experience. Still haven't found a 70rd drum.

The big frame rate killer for me is using the flashlight at night in the big apartment district north of cherno, it becomes a slideshow for some reason. During the day it ain't pretty but it's mostly playable but that useless little spotlight murders my fps for some reason there.

It's pretty unnerving to be sure. I've died a couple of times due to dismissing sounds as bugs. I think though that some of the phantom zombie sounds are zombies that have fallen thru the terrain and are chasing you 'underground' some are just too persistent to be random bugs. It makes sense, considering how zombies fall thru building terrain all the time.

To be able to store it in your backpack ala S/O shotgun as a last resort oh shit! weapon.

Me too, and the M4 mags still spawn in military tents. Found some in Balota last night.

When you get shot at or shot and don't know where it's coming from, retreat. Discretion is the better part of valor. Retreat, heal, circle, flank. Don't get stupid and stick around when you are at a disadvantage. This saved me and my shiny AKM at NWAF tents last night!

The Sobors seem thick with them, just like in the mod.

Found mine at the base south of NWAF, then one mag at the NWAF tents. I've seen a few AKMs since then, but damn those 75s are a bitch to find.

Likely cause it's a pain to navigate in and it was a PvP hotzone when it was introduced so peeps are scared away. Wanna talk old places jammed with lootz no one goes to anymore? Balota. Only stalked one guy in my last 4-5 visits to the area.

I have to beg your pardon. The exact thing happened to me last night. Logging in and out a few times fixed it for now. Good thing too, as I just found some mags for my AKU, server goes down 3 minutes later. I log back unto another server and bam! I'm on the beach, not at the NWAF tents like I should be. Tried a few more times and it sorted itself out.
