It should be a PC exclusive. I don't have any problem per se with a DayZ console version except for the fact that we are going to see compromises to the standalone to get it to run on the Xbox. I really wish any talk of a console port was held off until after the release of the standalone.

To be fair, the debug tracker seems to be a bit buggy as of late. I had 2 murders last night that I got no credit or humanity loss for. I hear that the soldier skin is legit, just very rare. I've seen it a few times.

Better to use Better to use an M9SD if you have one for that. A sniper in CQB would be better off using an AKM or M4A3 against players, imo.

For the sake of integrity, dump hacked weapons in a lake or something. I killed a few zeds with hacked weps just to see what they are like, then dump them somewhere or in a corpse and hide it. The As50 TWS is just absurd.

Found a TWS the other day, I chucked it in the water at Elektro dam, along with a PDW SD. It felt dirty picking them up, but when I first looted the corpse I didn't notice it was a TWS version, it was more 'Sweet! An AS50!, wait wtf is this?'.

No no and no. Tags shouldn't even be an option to have on. I hope that it is completely removed from the standalone.

Ahh, great I misunderstood. By all means assemble a list of known bandits for hunting. I thought 'blacklist' meant they wouldn't be able to log into Coalition servers.

Sounds good guys, but are you really going to ban bandits just for being bandits? Hunt them down if you can sure, but 'blacklisting' known bandits? Not cool, unless I misread that part.

I found a hacked PDW SD last night, shot a few zeds with it, it sucked and I chucked it into a lake. Even had it been good, I would have chucked it into the lake along with the AS50 TWS I found. I did keep the NVG, Rangefinder and GPS though, but I'm sure I'll lose them tonight banging around elektro or something.

We are brothers separated at birth. I still treasure my 1980s-early 90s game boxes, full of detailed maps, proper manuals and a token or two. You are so right we have been lied to by developers over and over again on how we are first in their minds, but then they see the $$$ they think they can make dumbing it down for the console market and we are left with the Thief 3s, Dragon Age 2s of the world.... god help you if you tried that Bard's Tale remake a few years ago.

Personally, I don't think Rocket or any of the devs have a leg to stand on when condemning Lingor or any other future user made maps for DayZ. It's a mod of a mod that no one is making money from, this is why we play PC games, not consoles; because the community can and will change, improve and adapt existing code and game mechanics for the benefit of all. You say Lingor players aren't contributing to the alpha? Who the fuck cares, there are thousands of servers playing vanilla dayZ and that is not going to change. I don't begrudge Rocket and company from making a standalone and profiting from that, not in the slightest I will certainly pony up and buy it no matter what, but you know what would make it an out of the park home run must buy game? Support for private hives and user made maps.

Agreed with most of my fellow pc-master racers, but just wanted to chime in and say that Crysis 1 was never all that, even running on a high end PC. Very pretty, but it didn't do anything new or noteworthy.

I couldn't agree more. I have no real problem with adult or teen males watching this show but why do they have to let it define every single aspect of the online persona? The only answer I have is that they are just trolling and love the attention.

I think that's a great idea. Could be fun as a diversion between lives. Imagine surprising survivors in the most unexpected places. PC zeds would have to have a higher chance of a knockout punch than npc ones otherwise they wouldn't be any more of a threat.

Why? There is no way the current generation of consoles could do this game, just impossible. Where would the fog be? At 200m? closer? Keep it pure, keep it PC.

Drop the dew boys, I was carrying one around for 3 days and my group got ambushed, lost our uaz and had half our team wiped out... twice. I ditched the dew, and everything's been roses for the last couple of days. :P
