QFT, zobmie aggro is not a problem and crab walking just makes you easier to shoot. New spawns should be balls to the wall sprinting 100% of the time.

I really hope we get expanded spawns in the next update. I'm tired of spawning in and around Berezino and Svet. Cherno and Balota are ghost town looter's paradises, though I usually meet folks in Elektro. No one goes inland it seems. I've done full sweeps of all the military bases inland and not seen a soul beyond a dude at NWAF that I had to shoot.

If the other guy doesn't talk, type, make no sense or acts suspiciously or annoying after being told to leave several times you are completely justified in killing him. I'll always talk first unless the other person is clearly hostile (you witness them killing for no reason) but if you fuck around, I'm putting you down. OP did nothing wrong.

I can't see the point. Player interaction is what this game is all about. There are friendlies out there, last night alone I had 4 peaceful encounters with other players. As a starving new spawn a dude gave me some cereal and beans. Later on, I helped out a newbie and showed him where he could find an SKS. After that, while checking out a barn I stumbled on another survivor. It was tense, weapons were out but we talked it out and went our seperate ways. I've grouped with randoms as well. There are plenty of reasonable people playing SA. If you really want this style of game in singleplayer, STALKER: Lost Alpha comes out this week on the 26th. Hell, even a properly modded SHOC, Clear Sky or Pripyat give great SP post-apoc survival experiences.

I don't see why so many people are stoked for more crafting. If anything, our toons finding the time and resources to craft a useable bow is about as unrealistic as it gets. It takes weeks to hand craft a recurve bow, and access to materials that would be hard to find even if there weren't infected running around. It's not just a matter of bending a good stick and running a cord between it. Crafting is just so gamey, and beyond quick improvisations with duct tape, I don't think it has any place in the game, or anti-game as it is. I shudder at the thought of Epoch style base building making it's way into DayZ. Our toons should never be that comfortable.

I hate the fact that they don't roam, there are no crawlers or lopers anymore and yes, the same rip-off sound effects as before. Their detection ability needs works as well. -
Is that even possible? Can the 'original' be discriminated from the 'clones'?

AS-50s were so duped in the mod, you'd find tents spilling over with them along with the high quality ammo for them. The duping exploits (some of them) persist in the SA and likely wont be able to get rid of all of them, so the 1 per hive would quickly inflate at a exponential rate.

Unless someone was hacking, it's all fair game. Games like DayZ and EvE Online allow douchebaggery, it's all part of the experience.

Are you smoking crack op? Who in their right mind would ever consider that trade, especially for titles they give away at $0.99 every two months. If you can't afford $30, then maybe computer gaming isn't for you. Try this instead: -
I'd like to see more spread out spawns. All along the whole coast and why not a few inland ones? Add Zeleno/Sobor/Green Mountain spawns, I miss the old action in the centre of the map like back in the mod days.

I play Crusader Kings 2, Europa Universalis IV, Hearts of Iron III and Darkest Hour. Been in that community since 2001 with EU2. -
Public epeen stroking. No one actually expects their 'victims' to come and see if the guy who shot them posted a thread about it. It's a way to brag that on the surface doesn't seem like bragging.

Finding random gun parts makes less sense than finding complete guns. And bows? It's a very specialized skill to make bows adequate for hunting and war and time consuming. Other than adding pre-made attachements I can't see weapons crafting being a big part of the game if they're going for realism.

I don't see us getting a detailed hunting system, I just don't. Prove me wrong BI, but the engine doesn't seem suited to it and there are much bigger priorities. If it was super realistic and hard, what would be the incentive to do it? Cans of food are easy enough to find, who is seriously going to spend hours stalking a virtual deer? The same argument applies for the cars; do you really think we're going to get an ultra-realistic driving model?

Double tap 'V', you will jump. It makes a ton more sense than that painful vaulting animation. It's not like DayZ will have rocket bunny hoppers like it was Quake 3 or something. -
How exactly do you 'find a clan'? We've got 100+ sq km to look through, unless you go on TS and ask where they are or just bet on Elektro I've never understood that epeen stroking 'I'm gonna hunt them down' talk.

AFAIK in real life chainsaws make terrible weapons. They would jam and throw their chains cutting through sinew and bone. Best to leave them in fantasy games like L4D, not a milsim based 'realistic' zombie game.

I've recently switched over to hardcore servers and while I'm not sure people are more 'friendly', they definitely are more thoughtful. I've had several tense encounters that ended with both parties walking away, when on regular or veteran servers those scenarios would have likely resulted in shots being fired. I prefer the tension and perspective in 1st person as well.

I fully agree with your suggestions. Long ago, I posted something similar about adopting RO2's iron sight/optics switch. Anything that can streamline the interface and avoid opening the backpack inventory screen should be aggressively added to the alpha. -
I found a W. Chernarus map and could not use it. Do you need to assemble the whole before you can look at it?

When you die, you will feel a bit liberated of your gear by starting fresh on the beach. That first can of peaches, that first pitchfork become priceless prizes again. I dunno, its just part of the cycle.
