That's not reverse combat logging... Reverse combat logging would be say... you're in a firefight with someone, then some1 logs in behind you and finishes you off. And there could be a ton of reasons he logged. Maybe he thought you had a hatchet? Or maybe he had a camp setup in that same spot on a diff server where he went to reload? Who knows?

Many of the members of the DAYZ community are just like the shitheads in any other competitive online game. They're gonna troll the fuck out of you because they enjoy stroking their e-peen. Get used to it, ignore, feed the trolls, or troll yourself. Just about your only options. -
No such thing as a good stash spot. Someone is gonna find ur stuff, eventually. Always. Just pray the ones that find your tents don't decide to run over them with a vehicle after taking what they want.

1) do you loose camo clothing when you die? (i just found one today) 2) What's the max storage capacity of a tent? I got a ton of stuff packed in mine and when i try to add some more it dissappears =( 3) Anyone know what the spawnrate of the cz550 is? And are barns the only places to find it?

Well, if you have time to waste and gear, set up a camp around where the person logged. I mean, campfire, tents, fences, the whole shebang. Then just roast weenies on the fire until said logger comes back and cap in the leg, then bloodbag and repeat. If OP feels the butthurt, then he should have no issues with this.

See guy running out of barn slighly northwest of electro with what looks like a cz550. Only have axe at the time, decide to cautiously follow him. He heads up the hill a little bit (not even to the treeline) before opening fire on a few bandits in northernmost firestation in electro. I decide I must AXE him a question. Once the deed is done, one of said bandits decided to AXE me a question as i was trying to loot the cz550. Many lulz were had. And then I shat myself and cried.

No. All it goes to show is someone abusing the game mechanics. If rocket really had an issue with people combat logging they would have at least tried to fix it right now. It's still alpha, and I couldn't tell you how many times i've been fired at by snipers on the hill in electro, only to sneak up on one, put a round in their leg and they log off. Until there's some sort of delay or penalty for combat logging, it will continue to happen. Not like a give 2 flying fuxx about it at the moment, but it is irritating when someone opens fire on you first, then does that to avoid being killed =\

So this is happened to me a few times on several different servers, but now I'm annoyed enough to actually ask -- Has anyone else been randomly teleported to a location with ALL other players on the server then mowed down my machine gun fire? Is this a hack or an admin abusing powers? It seems like a different location each time, and don't get me wrong you CAN run like hell... but the last time this happened (yesterday) i found my first pair of NVG's and an m24 so I'm irritated that I randomly got tele'd and killed thus loosing the sweet stuff i found.

Well thanks for the helpful info MOST of you. Last time this happened i was just like "sweet nvg's!" then POOF. lag spike and im surrouneded by a buttload of peeps so i try to run, get capped in the knee, teabagged, then killed. Definitely one of those "lolwat?" moments.

So i finally have a semi-sor of base set up in that apartment/cafe buidling across from supermaket in electro. Barbed wire fences in the front door (a littel inwards so u cant dismantle unless u go thru the back) and the door to the stairwell (same deal) and i got one fence with a tiny spot to get through near the backdoor. Once i get sandbags, gonna put that there so u can still hop over, but no zeds are wandering in randomly, yay! Anywhoo, what areas/buildings/ schematics do you guys usually build your camps/bases with? Also, just curious but anyone know the spawn timers for items in the supermarkets/schools/barns?

Lol that's a little mean, but mmkay. I used to run around w/o a home, so I made one. I'm usually a friendly player - unless someone points their gun at me. Gave like 3 ppl spare ak's i had in my tent earlier because bandits were running around elektro hunting people who had hatchets or no weapons at all -

Yeah, I know I'm raging, but I dgaf. I just alt+f4'd first time in my life. Wanna know why? Some prick by the contruction site on east of cherno went after me n i killed em, then after he dies, TONS of zombies spawn right next to me. I mean a FUCKTON. So what is my conclusion? Apparently I killed an admin or a hacker that got butthurt and tried to take revenge via zombies. Fucking pathetic. I mean, they went after me, still couldt do shit, so they pull THAT crap instead? WOW. -

No, I was referring to said wannabe bandit i killed when he confronted me. If it's a glitch, then I can't really say much,but if that was due to some scripting shenanigans of some sort or cheats on his part.... I hope his computer blows up -

It's possible, but i doubt it. I wound up hiding under the stairs in that 4 story construction building and they literally spawned right in front me blockign my only escape as i tried to bandage myself. And there was enough of them spawning it almost caused my game to lockup i was laggin pretty bad after that. Owell *sighs* bitches gonna be bitches i suppose. -
1) Fix the collision/falling through the floor on tents/tank traps, barbed wire. I'd really like to setup shop so to speak on a roof somewhere, but I can't if once i pitch said tent the damned thing falls through the foor! 2) Fix tents in general - At least to me they're pretty rare as I hardly come across them, so It'd be nice if every 4/5 times I try to set one up it gets eaten >.> 3) Possible cellars/hidden rooms in some buildings / working elevators - Either for camping purposes (tents), storage or scouting, make the elevator of that building in the middle of cherno give you access to the roof? the hotel one. Also some buildings could have a trapdoor somewhere, or a "loot bookcase" option which upon choosing it then it will open up and reveal a hidden tunnel/room ect 4) Parachutes Please! - This is a military simulator as it is. Or at least a mod based off it. And I know I'm not the only one who would get a kick out of base jumping off of a high tower or mountain. Maybe even add a james bond scenario allowing you to shoot while parachuting? 5) Unarmed Combat - Bad enough as it is if you just have firsts you can't do shizzle. Why not let us punch, kick, and grapple? Or at least incapacitate zombies/only damage players. Or even just the option to "trip" or push down zombies if you left click when unarmed. 6) More melee weapons! 7)Grappling hooks/Climbing system - say, make the first of the two only found in military buildings. You can shoot it up a wall and climb up to the roof of a building, or repel down a cliff face and such? You fire the hook, climb up, then if you want to stay there pick it back up, BUT if you want to repel down the hook has to stay attatched. And the latter - Please give us more options than just hopping over a fence with "v" why now allowing us to climbe on chest level objects? Or slightly higher 8) Signs/tagging system - Alllow players to place signs on a server saying w/e they want, or maybe a preset list of spraypaint images or something? And you would have to find the paint at a supermarket? I.E. - Skull n crossbones, or a red x, ect Just a few ideas off the top of my head I think would be amazing if implemented.

So I've got to wondering... I know there's a chance every time you pitch a tent the server's gonna eat it anyways, but CAN you feasibly pitch a tent on the roof of a building? I've only tried it once and it got eaten, havn't found any tents since then. Reason why I'm asking is because I think it'd be a ton of fun to try to setup camp on top of that massive cylindrical structure in the middle of cherno. You know, pitch a tent (or two?) campfire, sandbags tank traps n barbed wire? If not I'm hoping rocket will see this and take it into consideration. Also - if its NOT possible where do you guys generally set your tents? Or what do you consider the "ultimate tent spot" ?. You don't neccessarily have to divulge that actual area, but what cover/landmarks ect do you usually use or look for when making a camp?

Another Idea I've had for a while, why not spice up the over-all zombie A.I. ? What I mean by that is mix it up. Have some zombies that only move slow, the regular rage ones like now, a few SUPER fast ones, maybe some sneaky ones that have very little sounds/don't growl ect?

I've been attacked by crawlers that got up and ran at me several times. What I meant by this is as a whole, touching up the zombie ai. Make them more intuitive, or scary so to speak. You can't say you wouldn't shit your pants if you were creeping through town when out of nowhere you turn around and get attacked by a zombie that you didn't even notice because it was dead silent. Or if zombies could actually outrun you so you would either have to flee indoors or defend yourself... but alas that would also require some sort of unarmed combat/defense implementation.

Trade zones where pvp is not permitted would be nifty, but then you'd just get shot and robbed the second you set foot outside of these designated zones. It would just be a giant bandit-magnet.

well OP , I support this idea. It would be fairly neat, BUT this "base" would almost certainly have to have a destructable aspect to it. After x amount of damage (and depending on w/e base blueprint you go with is how much the X damage is) otherwise imagine a mass of bandits farming these things and blocking off entire cities by just surrounding it with these things. UGH. but yea, +1 to you good sir/madam

Well I think rocket is already working on this... I think I read somewhere that they were trying to implemet more "costumes" and place them throughout the map. So if you grabbed said costume everyone would see it as the same.

I actually like the impalement idea of bandits and zombies, but I would say this - instead of tranq darts why not just knock a player unconscious or be able to "break" a zombies legs. Lets say with the zombie portion if you break the legs you have the option to drag the live zombie to said locaiton and "mount" him to the board - BUT - and heres the kicker - the farther you drag the zombie, the more likey they are to break free of your hold and either harm you or maul you. And for the zombie leg break thing, it would only be a set amount of time say.... 30 seconds or so? then they get right back up and raep time commences =D
