I think, in the first place they should work on the drop rate. The amount of brands ingame is fine and sufficient.
-
Simply no. The idea is sick.

I guess, DayZ will never ever be ported to XBox. On the XBox you have aiming assistance, which would be quite unfair regarding the PC Players. Regardless of that, Arma2 should have to be ported. And it's not the usual XBox game, it's a tactic shooter. I dont believe in miracles, sorry for you XBox users.

The ONLY Realistic Way to Prevent Deathmatching: Make DayZ a Living Hell
subvision replied to Time Glitch's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Making DayZ a murder-sim is horrible! I have no big idea about this, but there should be a penalty for playerkilling, as I have posted in other threads. The cruel world should give the needed amount of chance people playing together instead of just killing each other. At the moment, DayZ is nothing more than a call of duty multiplayer with zombies. This should be changed ASAP. -

I have something here regarding trust. Please take your time and watch it fully: This is the point why people don't trust each other and shoot on sight. Cooperation is circumstantial. Shoot first, ask later. That video is an awful example of really mean people and the reason why I don't trust anybody. I would care a shit if he has some information or not. I would just shoot to save my life and my gear. -

I have read your posting completely. My opinion stays the same. People will kill each other and disclaim the information. At last they can find it out themselves. And lets go to the case 2 players are sharing information and work together to reach the goal marked in the map. At the latest here will player b kill player a, cos he is not needed anymore. Information as a currency is a feature that won't work, I think. -

Aha. And what will prevent the other player to shoot you in the face when he has that information? Believe me, most players will disclaim and shoot you to loot your corpse. It would stay the same as it is now. I don't see any good point in your suggestion, sorry, pal. -

I like some of the ideas, and some I like not. It's up to rocket to implement this or that. For example I like the idea of zombies wandering in the wilderness, but I don't like the idea of scratches leading to infection. I think, even with all this roleplaying features, DayZ should be casual to some point and not a hardcore game only enjoyable for some freaks. We should not forget, that we are experienced in the game more or less. But what about the beginners? There should be a perfect balancing act between the features ingame and playability. I agree that there should be communication in the game, so it's important to leave the chat on. I heard of some servers having the chat turned completely off. This is a no-go. And there should be more situations in which players have to interact with others. I agree on that. But it should not be too much features. DayZ should also be playable alone. Too much features will not make the game better. Sometimes less is more. -
Drink instead of Eating, killing the Hunger a little bit
subvision posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Hello people. It's a fact someone can survive 30 days+ without eating, but only 3 days without drinking. Why can't the drinks in the game kill the hunger a little bit? Most of the times I play I die due to hunger. I mean, the drinks should kill the hunger a little bit, approx. 20%, so I won't die of hunger that fast. It's realistic and I think this is a good idea cos it seems to me that you find drinks more often than food. In the small villages in the wilderness you're practically screwed cos there are almost no food spawns. Some zombies drop a pepsi sometimes, but I haven't found any food on them. The chance to drop food is sometimes too little. That's my point of view, what do you think of this? -

Thanks. Last time I could not grab a rifle with my hatchet in the toolbelt. May have been a bug or something. I actually was carrying 2 hatchets, one in my hands and one in the toolbelt. I dropped the hatchet I had in my hands but still wasnt able to grab the rifle. Odd world there. -

No, this 20% "be full" bonus should be only given once by drinking something, but after that you should be forced to eat something. That was my thoughts. I thought it thru while I read your posting, and you are right. Water pumps would be warzones after this would be implemented. -
I agree that the night is just too dark in the game. When the moon is shining you can see, lets say, 10-15% compared to the sunlight. The moon does reflect light and you can see little, but you can see something. In DayZ and maybe even in arma2, the night is just pitch black and you can see nothing. Thats annoying and very unrealistic. That should be changed ASAP.

Well, at some point we have realism to come to an end, I think. Beans, fish and water and pepsi are fine. -

They do this in america. Well, not here in germany. Here, they go in the woods and build tents of wood only with their knife and such things. Maybe interesting to know, the boy scouts here don't sell cookies. :D -

What about the players who don't want to hunt and cook meat? I think, if you carry a big weapon you have to drop your hatchet. I want to play with a big gun, let's say, a lee enfield or a shotgun. I mean a one hit kill weapon for the zombies. I do not want to live the life of a boy scout. -

I am happy you like my idea. But I didn't found that with the search option. Sorry for that. If it's a good idea, maybe it's worth to be warmed up to come into the mind of readers again. -
I'm for the idea of zombie dogs in the game. They should carry food & armour to be looted. I'm also for a more violent wilderness. At the moment you just have to take care not to walk on the road 'cos there are zombie spawns. In the woods you are safe. This should be changed. More hostile animals, please!

Everyone is asking for more content for the endgame. I think, Rocket will have some ideas for this, but at some point there is no more content possible or desirable. I think, your idea is good, but I would decrease the penalty to 2 minutes waiting time per kill. I don't want to sit an hour before the loading screen after a succesfull 20 days ingame time. If I ever reach that goal.
-
The idea is good, but I think it's hard to be implemented in the game. If nearly impossible. All ideas that add lots of structure to the world (building bunkers, harvesting) are not possible to do, IMO. Thats due to the game mechanisms. Please tell me if I am wrong. I see it this way.

Well, I heard, the video with the ape peeing in his mouth helped america to go over hard times.
-
I like the idea of regenerating blood when you have eaten/drunk something. It should regenerate 1000 blood slowly. Nice idea, this should be built in DayZ.

Hello People. Most of the times when I am infiltrating a village, I am a) attacked by tons of zombies and B) don't find a appreciable amout of loot. Therefore I am for loot also spawning before this fake door houses. It could be hidden in a corner or something like that. This would relativize the fact that you can't go in the houses, but you are able to get some loot anyway. Who's with me?
-
I think, the start in DayZ is difficult enough. Yeah, you could also start with nothing but a nail clipper and a roll of paper. But think of the newbies. They would be scared away. The change to the spawning with no weapon was hard enough.

Where is the realism in DayZ when you have to go into the bushes to poop? Hell yeah, eaten alive by a zombie in this situation. Thats fun I'm looking for!
