Im no expert but your computer could be suffering from low memory, you can press ctrl+alt+del then choose the activity monitor to see how much memory is free and how much you are using. Also having other programs running at the same time can cause similar problems. I also recommend searching this on google as it may not only be related to dayz ^^

I just played on US303 Dallas and i got the same ban "You were kicked of the game. (Battleye Admin Ban (2012-11-23 hacking (Bad public variable)))". I was just looting the tents at Stary Sobor and then suddenly i got banned for nothing :3

How can I try DayZ for free without buying Arma 2?

i recommend getting ArmA 2: Free from the official ArmA 2 website and then trying out the dynamic zombie sandbox mission so you get a taste for it ^^ -
wait my singleplayer option is unlocked so i can play in mission editor, is it supposed to be that way? :o i have the latest 1.7.3 :P

you can just turn everything to low if you want the best fps but the game will look like crap so i recommend these settings: texture detail: low-high (does not affect fps to much so having it on high should be fine) Video memory: default antistroptic filtering: low-high (does not affect fps to much so having it on high should be fine) antialiasing: off terrain detail: (this does not matter as the server controls this setting) Objects detail: low or very low shadow quality: medium or off, medium will take some fps but affects alot so it can be worth having it on medium HDR quality: normal (default) postprocess effects: off (this lowers fps alot) -
So i was going for the three deer stands around The mountain and decided to check the big radiotower out but then this happend :D im still scared :(

yea people say arma 2 draws more from your CPU than GPU so its probably your processor that needs an upgrade. I myself play on a laptop fine at 30-50 fps :P

try play on servers in your country or some country nearby, i get higher fps when i play on servers from sweden (i live in sweden) than US servers. also this seems like you might need to update your GFX driver :) -

Remove the AS-50 and M107. Introduce the KSVK.

KSVK is not any harder to use than a M107 really, if we remove the M107 & AS50 ppl will only complain about KSVK being OP. This happend with mw2 when they patched 1887 but ppl only started whining about the spas 12 etc ._. i don't see removing weapons as someting good, why not add all of ArmA 2 + arrowheads weapons except TWS models (maybe). That my freind is variety and fun since ive always played games to unlock and find stuff and dayz is all about finding new stuff :) -
correction: i made him unconsious with one 1866 slug

i killed a guy once with one 1866 slug (4,5k dmg) so yea id say the DMR makes the target unconsious or if not they will bleed out quickly.
