Cow Trains. Battle Cows. Rideable Cows? Zombie Cows. Flying Cows...

NOT THE HOLY HUEY!!! Just have your iPod playing "Fortunate Son" , and All of Chernarus will fall to this flashback from 'Nam, Baby!!!

Yes. A Bow is the perfect weapon. It's lightweight. It's silent. And nigh on unlimited ammunition. Plus, I'm not a bad shot with a bow....

Make Military Weapons more rare, Urban styled weapons!

Lots of 22.s... Ow! My leg! And I wouldn't mind some duck tape... -
The "Sneak" mode footsteps need to be far quieter. I dont run 1/2 as loud as these guys crouch-walk.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I love it.

Trade skills, Experience with said skills and Profession.
FuzzyPooka replied to Bratalise's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I like skills/professions. But in all honesty, I believe this is the wrong way to go about it. Gun Smith? All gun nuts usually have more experience firing said weapon than a police officer. -
I'm sorry. I had too. I created this post because my ideas are buried In hundreds of pages of scoffing, ignored by the masses. So, let's begin. [Disclaimer:] I get it. In the comments, politely refrain from bashing consoles. You "Mature" PC players can hold you scoffing. I want you too tell me if this is a good idea, expand it or politely leave. Counsoles don't ruin games. They expand them, to more audiences. I play on both, and love both. Now. THIS WON'T WORK!!! How so? Too technologically impressive. True. True. But, the next-generation console are looming. Microsofts new Console is rumored to have the power to run Arma. We can handle the scale. We can handle the graphics. We can handle the players. MAG has nearly triple the player count. Dead Rising has EASILY 100X the zombies. Battlefields beauty looks just as good. FPS/KoS. EVERY COUNSOLE PLAYER HAS A MIKE. Communication is at its best. The player killing will be no worse. Little kids are more likely to band up than adults. Call of Duty is on both PC and Counsole. So, theoretically, same amount of KoS. (Not bashing CoD. It's a great game) Too Hardcore. ...My balls are just as large as yours. :] TOO MANY BUTTONS!!!! Bull. Aim, Shoot, Crouch, Crawl, Select Fire, Open Bag, Scavenge, Reload, Switch, Climb, Throw. Every action can easily be mapped to holding, double tapping, or simply touching a button. Why not? Its a smart business desicion, on Rockets and Bohemias part. Now, go tear yourself to shreads explaining why it can't be done. I will best try to counter your suggestions. Please refrain from. Simply saying "LOL. No" Tell me why. Cheers, FuzzyPooka.

By not a valid augment, I am saying that I have clearly posted in my thread that the "Too Hardcore" cannot be factually proved, and I would prefer people give intelligent answers on is post. Therefore, I will not listen to stupid answers such as- this game is too hardcore. Give me a factual reason why. Your claims about Counsole players wanting action are relatively true. But, saying as A PC also has fast paced titles such as: Blacklight Retribution, Team Fortress 2, CallofDuty make the same terms apply. Both have their share of slow and fast paced games, so neither can be truly judged. I agree on your last paragraph. This thread is just to make it public. Counsole players want this game. So, when the time does come when it is standalone, our wishes may be complete. Thank you for your post, and a intelligent argument. (My iPad spell checks consoles to Counsoles. I do hope you get my meaning overall.)
-
The game would hopefully be standalone, and not dependat on the Arma Engine, as I have clearly posted over and over. Yes, Battlefield maps are not the biggest. Yes, I have have clearly posted you can. Give me an action, and I will map it.

They have fans that appreciate a horror and survival element. Is DayZ not a shooter? So you hug your fellow survivors? No. We brutally murder them, usually with guns. And fight Zambehs. Same as a survival Horror, such as Dead Island. Kill Zambehs and Bandits. With guns. Not anyone who disagrees. I have given beans to people that actually give me reason. However, I prefer not to answer again, so look at my original post to see if I have discussed your problem. About Mics... If you played both PC and Counsole, you would know that roughly 90% of people use Mics. 40% on PC. Bandits are part of the game. They will ultimately show up. But,with I,proved communication, they should actually be better. It's helpful when the person your talking to actually replies.
-
As I have clearly said before, too hardcore is not a valid argument. Get off this post, or give me a reason I havent proven..
-
Heheheheh. I laughed at that in 3rd grade. It would have a market, I assure you. Survival horror games are quite popular, as the success of Dead Space, DeadRising, and various Zombie titles have proven. Counsoles also promote communication, and playing with friends. Most Counsole gamers average at about 17, contrary to the numerous squeakers. Which, happens to be the average PC gamer age, as most over 20 preferring get on with life in general.

I can't believe I'm validating this as an idea by replying. As an idea, this is fine. As anything else, it completely sucks. I don't want to flame you, but I'm struggling to resist. Some reasons of the top of my head You talk about a smart business decision, but Dayz is currently yet to make any of it's own money. It may be driving ARMA II sales, but none of the team is seeing a cent of that. The developers are yet to develop a PC version. Currently it's an Alpha mod, a console port is unthinkable at the moment. ARMA

It's okay. Counsole is spelt in different ways,as in color. As there would have to be separate servers. Some of your questions and flames have been ignored, as they were clearly explained in the original post Please, continue tearing this thread up.
-
Answer time. It would need a new team. Rocket is developing it using the Aram Engine, and therefore doesn't need to rewrite the actual games code. But, the Arma Engine is horribly buggy, and quite simply holding the game down. If it becomes standalone, the Arma Engine will have to go. I have a PC, this is to expand this game to more audiences. Void, as clearly said in the post, too hardcore is an invalid argument.
-
Many thanks. Naturally, some minor actions should be taken out. However, the core experience remains. Shooting, and Movement and Scavenging remain unchanged. I anxiously await more comments. Please, refrain from saying "N3wb, go b4cK t0 c0D!" Give me why pr why not this should be a plausible idea.
-
Naturally. A standalone game requires a team to develop. Let us hope that DayZ gets that far.
-
I'm surprised how much I enjoy this. Your comment is invalid. I politely ask you to get out, and give me a good reason.
-
Took 15 seconds! It would require a standard game, that does not really on the outdated Arma engine.

(I am well aware that there are Melee weapon posts, but these are so besieged by comments, and lacking in information, that I have made a clear, and complete guide to possible and plausible Melee weapons.) I have come up with many ideas for plausible Melee Weapons (Which will now be referred to as MW). All of these would have a place in the Russian landscape, so would realistically be found throughout the cities, farms, forests, and military bases of Chernarus. Bladed Weapons: Typically have short range, but strike quickly, inflicting minor damage, with follow up shots rapidly draining your targets health. I would also suggest incorporating a stealth system, for MW only. While the weapon is equipped, you gain a stealth bonus that allows you to get within striking distance if Zeds, and take them out with a single slash. To counter this, you would move at a snails pace, to quite footsteps. As for players, strikes to the back inflict HEAVY bleeding damage(To signify a throat being cut). Follow up strikes depend on weapon. I have 3 possible suggestions of MW. SwitchBlade- Incredibly close range, fast striking weapon. (Dealing 1000 blood damage per strike(v Human Players) and causing bleeding on 3rd hit) these stats force the player to rely on stealth to strike, as it's combat damage is not ideal. Found in all civilian areas. Combat Knife- Essentially a upgraded SwitchBlade. More reach, same swing time, and more damage. (Deals 2000 blood damage per strike, and causing bleeding on 2nd hit) a good stealth weapon, but with combat effectiveness if discovered, though only at close range. Found in military areas. Machete- A cruel weapon that inflicts horrendous injuries, and will ravage humans and Zeds alike. Better range than the 2 previous knifes, and much more damage, at the cost of a slightly slower swing time. (3000 blood loss per strike, causing bleeding on 1st hit.) The Machete is the ideal MW, dealing incredible damage while crippling your enemy. Easily capable of holdings it's own against any combatant in close range. Found rarely in deer-stands and military areas. Heavy Weapons: These MW focus more on brute power, and savage banzai tactics than stealth. Best for eliminating groups of Zeds, and human enemies in pride of buildings. Strike fast, and. Cripple your opponent before they can strike back. They take up the primary weapon slot, so should be used sparingly, if no other firearms are to be found. Fire Axe- A crude yet effective makeshift MW that is ideal for Zombie and Human slaying alike. Get close, and slash quickly, using this axes brutal power to and reach to slash enemies. (4000 blood loss per strike, 33% chance to break targets bones) This is a last ditch weapon. Charge and smash everything in reach, in a berserker rage for maximum effect. Found in Firehouses. Chainsaw- What Zombie game doesnt have a chainsaw? This gas operated saw takes 1 JerryCan to fuel, in exchange for 5 minutes of pure carnage. Start it up as you would a vehicle, and let loose fury. Shred Zombies and players alike. Be warned of how loud the saw is, and be careful with fuel. (5000 blood loss per strike, 100% chance of breaking targets bones) A horrible weapon that will shred any enemy in its path. Found rarely in Farms, Firestations, and lumber mills. MW should not take the place if guns, but offer a (usually) silent operatunity to eliminate Zeds and foes. Please post more ideas for possible Melee Weapons, or revise the stats of my weapons. If against, state why.

Makes sense.

"Let the flame war commence!"

... This children, is what we call a stereotype. Us immature kids don't spend our days bashing other gamers, boasting about our superior machines. I should try. "WE GET THE "LAST OF US" SUCKAZ!!!"
