I heartily agree with you. As for a map, a perfect place is New York. Huge city in the middle. Surrounded by farmland. Albany is a rural city area. Mountains and forests up North. And, massive military base for New York Mountain Division. But. I am disappointed in your biased opinion on 12 years olds and popular FPSs. Firstly, 12 year olds don't hack, and don't form bandit clans and camp military spawns. In fact, they are more likely to trust and follow another player than any other person. The BattleField community is in an uproar over the MoH BF4 bull. EA is changing our beloved shooter into a year based moneymaker, forsaking the tactical vehicle combat that started it. There is a bandit problem. Am I the only one who remembers when people you saw would actually help you? Someone you bumped into in a building would frantically yell "FRIENDLY, FRIENDLY!". And you would team up, or go your separate ways. Now, is KOS. The removal of Bandit Skins, Chat and no starting equipment caused this.

You assume Marines meekly trot to cover, while their enemies fire at them? No. They sprint there, yelling and firing while doing so. It's not training, it common sense. Do you walk while charging an enemy machine gun? No. You sprint and try to make that SOB duck.

Why the hostility? Was I the only one who loved Rainbow 6, purely because of runnin with a belt-fed LMG, firing at full-auto? (Im assuming so...) Running while sprinting is completely realistic. You can't hit the broad side of a barn, but your still making the enemy duck. No reason not too.

Seananners is a riot. SideStrafe is a very hardcore survivalist. Blamerobvideos has these huge 10 man bandit attacks.

Your character goes to sleep, body stays for 5 minutes upon leaving. Simple. No-Agro Zeds are not attracted to you.

What if the is a Doctor. Not a Corpsman. What if he can still shoot. Maybe a lawyer can still gut an animal. But he sure as heck can't do it as well as a hunter. A mechanic can repair a car better than a doctor. Period.

People who enter the game and have planned to group up with a friend, will commit suicide over and over tell they reach an area close to their comrade. So, form a system that groups players who would actually know each other, IRL. Such as a DayZ Friends List. People inputted, and who have agreed to be added, have the option to spawn in a group. Strangers are still strangers, as only people who actually know you are respawning at your side. YOU HAVE TO KNOW THE PERSON TO SPAWN WITH THEM.

Uhrah for Royal impact. You shouldn't be able to be some Special Forces Commando skilled in everything. Certain lifestyles are better at different things. Saying that, a Doctor can still shoot a gun, but without the accuracy of a Marine.

Keep the Ghillie Suit. It's an icon of DayZ. There is NOTHING in the game that causes the same excitement. "Oh my GGAAAAWWWDDD, III FFFOOOUUUNNNDDD A... Ghillie Suit!" Realism: You want it to be realistic? Go join the Marines, and don't play a computer game.

Stick to towns around the coast, getting food and civilian weapons, stockpiling ammo. Careful not to be too close to the spawns, as mew players often have nothing to lose, and will charge with the weakest of weapons. Watch videos by SideStrafe.

If Tanks and ATVS take an incredible amount of time, parts and concentrated effort to assemble, this would be great. And the incredible amount of gas to drive a tank. I'm having visions of 30 or so ATVs paring towards a base.

Some of us actually play as we would survive in real life. I for one am proud to say I would not kill an innocent human being, merely to try out my new DMR. Though I might want their food. >:3

Burying is needed. You need a shovel to do so, and perhaps a cross and mound where body is buried. (Russian Orthodox, remember?) it would present an honorable way to give a final salute to a killed player. If I kill someone honorably, I wish that I can send them off honorably as well. A new level of mortality. Humans are the only race that buries their dead for a reason.

Let's assume your a civilian. You have never shot a gun in your life, so would have piss-poor accuracy. On the other hand, a trained Marine would have excellent control, and he knows the weapon he is using. A hunter would know how to expertly skin a deer, and start a fire. Do you have any idea how hard it is to actually do that? A civilian would ruin half of the meat! And you can just go out in your yard and give yourself a blood transfusion, right? I doubt you can even bandage yourself properly. It needs to feel authentic, and you can't be a jack of all trades. Choose what you want to do. And get good at it.

Limit arrows then. The crossbow is a joke. Give us the real deal.

Perhaps bullet wounds have a chance to embed themselves in flesh. (This isn't NATO shoot to aim, this is buckshot and M24 rounds.) say 30%? Usually pass through the body, causing blood damage and bleeding, but when embedded causes pain and groans if said limb is used. Needs tweezers to be pulled out.
