I don't know the dayz scripting commands but from what I can see then getPlayerUID _x == 72842694 is setting the variable _x to that specific player and _x hideobject true is making his character invisible so yes I would guess this is a hack as it seems to be a loop to hide any object that is associated with the player 72842694 Just an edit don't ban someone on my simple breakdown of the code but I don't think it could be anything else unless the game hides players when they log-out

Since the last patch there have been a few new bugs. Tents no longer work any tent set up in the last patch stay altogether and can not be saved. Although after a restart even if you take all the items out and flatten the tent the tent will re-appear with all its items back in it a form of duplication. Also vehicles will save properly except for the helicopter which will always spawn back where you found it. As per usual some vehicles inventory are wiped after a server restart but there location should be saved. Also if a server restarts there is a 1 in 3 chance (just experience) that no tent or vehicle will spawn and upon another restart they should come back.

I second this in some future update after the work on the standalone has been complete add this in as a little feature after eating a load of beans you can get random gas that can give you away and attract zombies it would be hilarious.

Loot does not re spawn so if you find a chopper and there isnt much loot your either unlucky with the spawn or its already been looted. Also you have to look under the ground as if it spawns on a slope the items may be under the ground and you can target them its just difficult.

Its handy that your items are renewed after a restart its annoying that I cant save new items cant wait for the standalone and all these little bugs are resolved it will be a beautiful game. Can anyone let me know if I set up a new tent in 1.7.2.5 will it work correctly or will it simply delete everything after a restart?

When ever my skin changes I loose my backpack its really annoying I wish the skin would not change or if they insisted on it they would save my backpack. gonna stick with a Gillie suit I think for the time being as it stops the skin change so far as I can tell.

Heh most of the sniper shave moved to cherno or elektro to kill noobs people stopped coming to the airfield its ironic its now safer there then the main citys.

Basically the small towns you wont find a whole lot in them unless you are lucky and running for ages your probably well lost by now log out and log in and find where you are then use a map I would suggest http://dayzdb.com/map#4.118.099 to find a decent town or spawn location to find gear. Large citys are your best bet supermarkets for equipment and food, for weapons you will have to check barns and military spawns all are displayed on the map.

Hi Red Badger Firstly your rig is a little outdated more ram wont make much of an effect 2GB is enough to run the game pretty well I am using 4gb of around the same speed ram but the game only takes a little over 2gb at any time. The graphics card is underpowered you would want at least an 8800gt and 2.8 ghz dual core to run decently while the minimum specs say a 3.0 GHZ single core will run the game with dayz heavy use of scripts it probably wont be enough. I would suggest updating the whole machine you can build a decent pc for around 600 euro that would run any game to date or if you are willing to buy second hand or find a site that sales slightly outdated parts like 9800's you could build the machine for cheaper provided you have a standard case and your power supply is decent you could get a new motherboard processor and ram. If you really are strapped for cash then getting a more powerful graphics card would allow you to run the game far better then you can right now but again it wont be fantastic but it will be playable.

You sir are a byproduct of modern gaming which in my view has destroyed the young generation of gamers. You need the game to hold your hand and walk you through everything in fact you need the game to then make you a sandwich pour you a drink and hold your *Exploit Deleted* while you relieve yourself. Games where better back in the day when you played through and every time you died you started back at the first level no saves no passwords to skip levels or cheats. When a game gave you a sense of achievement upon completion not because you died 50 million times and kept reloading until you decided to use one of the cheat codes and finally completed the game. Dayz is a refreshing return to the old style of gaming instead of a fake sense achievement when you kill 10 bad-guys with a head shot and a shiny little medal appears on the screen and congragulates you the attraction of dayz is the fact that every time you play it you get a new game out of it you feel fear when you hear gun shots being fired in your direction you get excited and giddy as you sneak up on a bandit and he is unaware you are behind him you feel sad and angry when you die because all your hard work is gone but the good thing is that you can start again and feel it all again in a different way by trying a different way to gear up. If you want a tutorial go to the Arma II and play the training mission to learn the controls as for where to go and what to do in dayz thats called exploring trying things out and learning. Its what happens when you have freedom rather then following a script like almost all the games these days. If you really cant figure out what is going on in the game but still want to be involved and experience the fun, excitement and adrenaline pumping tense situations that this game offers then you could always look up any of the multitude of survival guides and tutorial videos that the fantastic dayz Community has created then maybe a good starting point is the new player forum

Exit steam fully the restart steam and run both arma and arma 2 again download they dayz mod using six updater and manage it with dayz commander afterwards also re-run both games from steam again.

This happens more often then not on most of the servers I have played on if you steal a truck or a car form a camp start driving and an admin or his friends discover it they restart the server without warning in the hope you havnt saved the vehicle yet. I am not going to go into specifics because i just don't care enough but while there are some very honest and decent admins out there for ever 1 there are at least 5 corrupt admins using there power over the server to their own advantage. I am 100% for giving them thanks and appreciation for hosting and paying for servers that allow us to play but when they start abusing the control they have to their own advantage it feels like im dealing with 5 year olds who flip over the snakes and ladders board because they hit a snake.

Yes but a GTS 250 is about 3 times as powerful as a HD 6450 can you run it at high settings ? or do you run it at low settings with stuttering and lag ? I have looked more into this and can tell you that both the graphics cards that you listed will not run the game in a playable fashion. You will have to pay about 80-120 euro in order to get a card that will be worth playing games on. You could go cheaper for Dayz but you wont get the performance or the full enjoyment out of the game also the proccessor ram and hardrive will have huge impact on performance.

Maybe they could run it but it would be very slow these are very low powered cards I would not suggest getting either if you plan on gaming with them.

This is such a common re post and rocket has said he knows the problems with the ATV and will be implementing fixes not 100% sure where I read it I believe it was his AMA thread on Reddit but he has this planned just because you have an ATV now and are annoyed that you flipped it dose not mean posting the same post in the forum for the nth time will make it happen any faster just save it and wait for a restart and the ATV will be flipped or don't save it and wait for it to reset to the last save location. Or go get a better vehicle.

Well it has happened a few times to me and after a restart they are back again I believe its a bug that dose not spawn vehicles and tents or just vehicles at some server restarts. You may want to wait for the next server restart or contact the server admin and ask them to do a restart see if your tents and vehicles come back if not then you have been robbed !

It depends on your luck but the hacking issue is pretty damn bad right now you really cant play for too long before you will be thunder domed, invisibly killed, encounter a god mode player or one of the other ingenious ways these *Exploit Deleted* Mother *Exploit Deleted* *Exploit Deleted**Exploit Deleted**Exploit Deleted* fuckers kills you. I have given up playing for now and i suggest unless your willing to hack yourself there is no point in playing this game as its just a waste of time you get nowhere and when you do get anywhere your dead shortly there after due to the sheer amount of hackers going around partly its because of the ease to which you can get access and impliment these hacks and partly is due to the slow reaction of the battle eye crowd to respond to this.

I guess this is a troll either that or else go back and play wow. Dayz is a fantastic game so far and I cant wait for Rocket to introduce some of the new features he has talked about in interviews. That all said at the moment I am going to stop playing until the hacking gets sorted or the hackers get bored which ever one comes first.
