I've only been playing a couple weeks now, but I've noticed that in the last few days, there's been some crazy graphics glitch I keep getting in various places, but almost always in Cherno, especially near the church. At first I figured it was my computer getting all wonky on me, something was up with the settings. After a little google digging, I found that this has been happening to just about everyone lately, and it has something to do with dead soldiers and barbed wire. Shitty, but hey, what are you gunna do, right? So I died earlier tonight, and spawned in Cherno. Every time I looked toward the church, the screen started to do all sorts of crazy stuff, making it impossible to look at, and ultimately served to remind me that I was just playing a game and not really in the zombie apocalypse. The thought, "Oh, how I hate going into Cherno..." drifted through my head, even as I dove straight towards the church in search of supplies. I've come to associate Cherno with this glitch, and not only do I try to avoid going there, I notice that most other players steer clear of the area when possible. It would be really neat to see this mentality carry over into later versions of the game. Instead of graphical errors though, give the town another effect, like heavy clouds of smoke. There's some decent loot in cherno, speaking as a beginner, and to add to the tension and risk of entering the city, clouds of smoke that obscure the player's vision might be a good inclusion. It could even be a sort of nod to the alpha community, a tribute to the time the developers broke cherno/elektro in alpha.
