Maybe should have started a thread called "you know youve played too much dayz when..." I imagine that would have gotten quite a bit of feedback and ppossibly some laughs

Short Version: I've decided to start a clan called KArmA. And am looking for fellow players. Long Version: I was in the hotel? across from the hospital in Elektro, when just as I exited I saw another Survivor to my right ahead of me. He did not see me. So I trailed him into the hospital, entering from the side (not to kill him, just to watch him.) and just as he got to the stairway I heard gunshots. I quickly went prone. The man in front of me went down, so I waited. Sure enough the bandit came to reap the spoils. He went down in one hit from my einfield. Which made me think of Karma.. And all the times I've been killed (weaponless, gearless, ext..) and all the others who have also been slain the same way. The mission of this clan will be to hunt those who kill the unarmed. And in some cased, those who kill the friendly. I am open for suggestions and fellow players with the same path in mind to join me. I do have a mic and looking for mature players only. P.S I understand this is a survival game and you must do what you have to, to survive. But as I was once told, there is no wrong way or right way to play this game. You just play it your way. This is my way.

To start off, Ive been playing this game maybe a week now (would have been longer but my power supply blew had to order another). Maybe my third time dying and reviving i decided to head north. Knowing some of the better gear can be found more north. At some point I ended up finding a heli crash site right at the edge of a town. It blew my mind concidering I didnt expect to find one so soon. It blew my mind even further after I found a DMR at the site. Well after grabbing the DMR I headed back south as I knew I would need to, to meet up with my cousin when he respawns. I was sitting near the woods north of Komarovo, just waiting for him to get logged in and join the same server. Just as I was scoping the area I turned to my left and saw someone heading torwards the tree line. I immediately went prone and hoped he hadn't seen me as he had a primary and secondary gun. Luckily he didnt. Even more luckily I could tell he ALT+Tab out (because he suddenly stopped for some time) to probably look at a loot map. So I scoped in on his dome. He was only 62m away, so I had expected not to miss. But I did not take the shot... And within 10-20secs he was already back in game and continuing north. I decided to follow him but ended up losing him in some woods.. Anyways, Im just curious as to how many of you would have taken the shot and why or why not. I guess I didn't take the shot myself, because if it was the other way around Ide prefer a sniper not to take me out lol.. But in a survival game, was it a bad idea not to kill him even though he hadnt posed a threat?

Good example Josh. I just recently had a run in with someone who tried to trick me. I was in the hospital in elektro at the top. Guy must have heard me walking cause he asked in direct chat if i was friendly. I said yes and asked him the same. He said he was friendly as well. So he then asked where i was, so i told him hoping to finally team up with someone else outside of my cousin. He came up and started shooting at me... so i took him out and it gave me a murder. Idk if he was a respawned bandit or just someone who doesnt trust anyone(which is understandable) Needless to say, the 'shoot if they see you' idea seems to be the way worth going. I have yet to run into a player that sees me and doesnt try to kill me.

Will let you know if u can or cannot play a large list of games and if not it will let you know what you need to upgrade/buy to play. The website it directs you to if you do not meet the requirements is tigerdirect.com. they are out of Illinois i believe and this is where i order all my parts if needed. Hope this helps someone else.

Seze i understand where your coming from, ive ran into a group of three players in an airfield who hatcheted me even though i had no weapon or gear, and just let me lay there to bleed out and die lol

Btw if anyone is interested, my in game name is currently 'I Have Candy, Get In'. It was previously 'Don't Shoot, Its Just Me'. So if anyone sees me in game, know that i do not shoot on site and would be happy to group up lol.

Lol i honestly dont know much about hardware myself. I bought a custom made gaming tower so never had a problem playing, but if a friend is wondering if he can run it this is just where i direct them. If you say the gb of ram on that is off thats good to know for future reference. Guess this is more of a guideline lol.

I realize this goes both ways, but i was told assuming makes an ass out of u and me (ass-u-me, get it? Lol) so i hate to assume everyone is an enemy but again assuming everyone is friendy is just as bad. I imagine if i had a mic at the time i may have tried to talk to him (didnt know u could type and chat) and then made a decision based off what he said/did. Anyways, i appreciate everyones feedback and hope to meet 'most' of you in game lol

I like how you put it kentk94, there is no right way or wrong way to play. And to the one who said ude shoot even to just test the gun, ull be sad to know the only time i fired that DMR was accidently while running lol. Never actually sniped a player or zombie before wrecking the car and dying. I do try to avoid conflict and players as well, because i have yet to run into someone who doesnt shoot me on site lol. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt and assume their friendly, but in more cases than none they turn out to be bandits lol. Its a hard life in dayz

Well put, ty for the reply. As far as the DMR goes... I ended up finding a nice shiny car, nearly full on gas and fully repaired. Got carried away driving it, not watching the road and BAM. Hit a cement wall and died.... :P

Personally, I think this game is far better off without any skills or levels.
