They need to fix zombies not being able to walk over certain tiles They need to fix zombies not being able to walk up certain stairs. They need to fix zombies not being able to sprint up all stairs/mountains. They need to fix zombies walking through closed doors. They need to speed up zombies, make them horrifying even for well armed players, as it should be in real life if something like this were to happen. And last but not least, fix the zig zagging. This is not a Zombie Survival Horror game in it's current state, it's a poorly balanced PvP oriented Left 4 Dead "spawn-in with no gear and get raped by poor foreveraloneIRL bandits" game. But I hope they can turn the boat around ;) I'm not saying it's a bad game, trust me, I've played over 300 hours already! :o But it sure is getting pretty boring. Starting to become some kind of vehicle collector / bandit rapist

You might have a chance of opening the game, but actually playing... Doubt it, you'd have less than half a frame per second with pretty much anything integrated.

I reckon this is more of a story thread than anything at the moment.. I was fending off zombies with my newly acquired M14 AIM (seriously, this one just seems louder than the Enfield pre-fix, shouldnt be though..) I had 3 mags for it, they quickly disappeared into the heads of the zombies. I swap to my m9 SD to kill off the last 5 zombies without attracting anymore of them.. I see a crashed helicopter at the north end of NWAF, I just charge to it and find a pair of NVgoggles, run away since that is the last thing I needed for a pretty good bandit hunting setup.. Find a safe spot, logout, day after, spawn at the beach with my M4A3, yet again, with no M14 or NVgoggles.... Annooooyyiiiinng ._.

A 7850 beats the 550Ti, the 560Ti - AND it beats the GTX 570 if you overclock. If you don't, it's only 2-4% behind the 570. Does it have to be more obvious? quote from any trustworthy tech site "HD 7850 provides great midrange capabilities beating the Radeon HD 6950 and the NVIDIA GTX 560 Ti."

How about linking some GAME benchmarks instead of synthetic benchmarks that rarely tell the truth, usually far from it.

First off, don't come here acting like you know anything without posting something you have sources for. (also, fyi, amature is spelled "amateur") Second off, my DayZ uses up more than 2GB's of vram at 1920x1080 at fairly low settings because it prefers more vram, and it runs better that way, everytime I turn around my textures don't need to load, 'cos they're still in the memory (smooth 360's, yes please). Third off, both my friends with 6850's (overclocked to hell, I might add) can barely run this game at 1680x1050 (one plays at 1920x1080) and yes it is true that it only uses around 990 mb's of vram, but only because it's limited to that amount.. Fourth off... Writing tons of gigabytes of data to an SSD will kill it very quickly, and only a true idiot would do something as stupid as that.

Apparently this happens randomly, you're just very unlucky.. I found a helicopter crash site, got myself an M14 AIM, killed around 100 zombies with it and then logged out for the night.. Came back the day after, standing still with my M4A3 CCO and 5 mags... what!? :P

I've overclocked my already overpowered 7950 by more than 27%, temperatures are literally the same, my frames went up more than 15 in most demanding games. Games like Counter Strike and L4D1/2 get over 70 frames with an overclock like that on a card like that. Overclocking is harmless if you take 5 minutes to read up on what you're supposed to do, and it actually increases performance a whole lot. What were you saying again? :no offense meant, but this is just silly)

Your FPS is terrible, because your graphics card is extremely underpowered :P Also you're not using the newest drivers, that might help a bit. Yep, you'd need a big upgrade, just like this guy's saying. Pro-tip if you're going to upgrade.. An I5-2500k and 7850 can handle DayZ fairly well. Both overclock like beasts.

... Woah... this thread is full of .... wow... Don't use FRAPS to record with, it is a lackluster program. DXtory has a billion more options and does not take as much CPU power, though for 1080p recordings you'll need a HDD that can write close to 150mb/s, or two that can get 80mb/s. DXtory can split up the recording onto several harddrives and balance the write speeds. If you don't have a HDD that can match the data output of your recordings, you'll have weird mouse issues in-game, like it freezing on you for 2-5 seconds. And also, for DayZ... A 6850 ain't going to cut it. Well unless you're one of the people who think "smooth" gameplay is ~~35FPS. Personally I cannot live with less than 50.. And that's the minimum. But if you're ok with a slight unresponsive mouse and sloppy frames, a 6850 will probably cut it for you. Both my friends have 6850's and I5-2500k processors overclocked to 5GHz, their systems built by me, and they're getting less than 30 FPS at times at lowest settings except for Texture Details at Very High. That's what happens when you skimp on the most important parts.. Also, this thread is full of misinformed people. Rendering is not limited to CPU power only, most rendering programs now at least have the option to use OpenCL which will more than double rendering speeds if you have a pretty recent GPU. I use a 7950 though I expect a 7850 can do pretty well too, plus it overclocks like a beast. CPU, not so important. Though I'd personally go for a I5-2500k at 5GHz again any day to replace my Phenom II x4 955 at 4GHz.

If you can get a full refund and no trouble I'd say go for it, though I don't know what else you'd want. The 670 is not the cause for your lacking FPS.. ArmA is just very weird. I get 80-140 FPS with my 7950 and 4GHz Phenom II 955 o.o ... although I have everything but Texture Detail(max) and AA(something above high) at the lowest. 1920x1080. I want a 2560x1440 screen :(

I bought the 7950 once they were released here in Denmark, never regretted it, though it might be out of your budget. I'd go for a 7850 which uses alot less power than the GTX 560 Ti and GTX 570 - but also at a cheaper price and still slightly wins over both of them. :edit: The 7850 is slightly slower than the GTX 570, but it has alot more overclocking headroom and will still use less power to win.

Agreed, I hear lots of people saying they get so many problems with ATI and their drivers, but I've never had any trouble whatsoever, the only thing I've ever encounted was with RAGE textures not loading properly. And that was not an ATI issue. This man is speaking the truth. Agreed on that too.

It would drag down your FPS because it's not just 120 pixels. It's 1920x120 pixels extra. 230.400 pixels. Which is VERY noticable in quality. Don't let people misinform you, check the facts first :)

It's 2 GPU's in one and still presents crossfire flickering though ;) I don't remember if it only shows (1) GPU under hardware monitor or it shows 2 cores...
