i think this guy is mistaking game glitches for hacking...

the strong prey on the weak, thats how it works anywhere. I wont disagree with that point. however, this game has spread like wildfire because of the unique experience it has given players- everyone who has played it has said "I have never played anything like this before". that 'fear' you feel for your life... even if it is a fear of a hill troll north of cherno Hostile players are fine, its natural to the games environment, and I think thats sometimes rocket wants to keep. Even if they are only doing it because they want to kill noobs

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ /agree it didnt start with hackers... it went: 1. grps (clans) farming servers for all items and vehicles and hiding them off map 2. solo players realizing ppl did this so they turned to scripting in an attempt to get something out of the game 3. other players realizing scripting was a common thing so they also started scripting to counter the scripters all of the above is because of stupid ppl that cant just simply play and test a game at alpha stage

lol nice way to take what i said out of context... when i say "noobs" i dont mean the dude on the beach with a flashlight... i mean someone whos been alive for 5 minutes and has an ak off a deer stand... if you run into that guy with an ak at the NW barracks and you have every piece of gear imaginable, if you see eachother at the exact same time you both have equal chance to kill one another. and btw, yes i meant what i said about pros in COD... not that i ever liked call of duty anyway, but i have a friend who gets trash drunk at the end of every night off a sixty of vodka and plays COD on his xbox against 10 yr olds without a care in the world... he wouldnt be able to do that if he was playing dayz edit: you guys need to read more into what rocket is trying to do with this game... he isnt trying to make another competitive shooter he is trying to make something that emits a strong emotion out of the player. fine, compare it to counterstrike, battlefield, who cares- you said dedicated pvp so i just think of dedicated pvp games... I also compare to them because they are so DIFFERENT from dayz, not because they are similar.

you cannot compare PvP in this game to PvP in dedicated pvp games because the effect on your nerves and senses are nowhere near the same.. the feeling you get from pvp in this compared to a game of CoD is night and day... i can run into a game in cod and go crazy shooting everyone around me without a shred of worry because i know me dieing wont matter. in this the feeling is daunting... your heart beats and you worry- you feel anxious all the time even if you have the best weapons versus ppl with terrible weapons... INFACT you feel even more anxious the better gear you have... the most relaxed i ever am is when i respawn. I COMPLETELY disagree that the reason ppl come to this game is to have easy targets... the stakes are much higher in this and when it comes to playing versus pros in cod i couldnt care less- thats easy IMO... but playing versus noobs in dayz is hard... it scares the crap out of me- the thought of me dieing to a lucky makarov stray is a terrible notion in the back of my mind.

tbh dunno if most ppl would want to fix it, the HDR bugs work in your favour if you run by a player wearing glasses or if you catch a quick reflection off something they are wearing... you essentially cripple your observation skills compared to other players by fixing it.

why does everyone seem to easily come across GPS and NVG....

they had to jump through hoops to put the axe and crowbar in (and still all they do is shoot bullets at a very short range).. its a military sim- ask anyone who has been in a hot zone how often they fight the insurgency with their fists... its supposed to be realistic not like a bruce willis movie. :P

rocket has voiced his opinion quite strongly about how much he hates currency to buy items.... so the players have created their own currency system- flashlights.. kinda like SOJ's in d2

that was a known bug before 1.7.2.3 and was supposed to be fixed. however I would still take ur stuff off before equipping the camo to be safe edit: nothing in an alpha is for sure

this is 100% a result of disconnecting while unconscious, however it does go away after some time. Just try waiting for the timer to go up, dc from that server, reconnect, wait for the timer again, dc join a different server, play a bit, etc.. depending on how much you value your gear it just requires some patience.. its a long timer i know.

lol.. think of it like if you were your character in real life, if you had everything to survive the next step would be get a vehicle... maybe kill some ppl in the process? and getting a vehicle is harder then you think.

no one told you to buy a game just to play a mod, you did that on your own

just makes me think of those annoying 12 yr olds on counterstrike... i think my trigger finger would have activated from hearing his voice if anything. he got what he deserved....
