It looks like the same update pushed out to SixUpdater and DayZ Commander last night.

Why? The respawn button is not a tool for you to find your favored spawn point. Look at the text at the bottom right when you first load, under Chernarussia it will name your closest landmark. Use the online map and find your friends, no in game map needed and now people cannot exploit the respawn button (which btw stresses out the server). Win/Win

Thats why you make it mandatory for entry into the clan, have em make new accounts if needed. Hey now, I don't have to deal with shit. Im trying to help your ass learn how to run a clan without this kind of crap happening. You do realize that this thread has created a "head hunting army" coming after your clan right? Just a little tip, you should make it mandatory that: - All members use the same forum name as in game name - All members use the same TS,Vent,Mumble name as in game name as forum name - All members use the same Skype name as in game name as forum name as TS name as Vent name as Mumble name - Officers right that shit down!

Its definitely server dependent, but not in the way he says. Ive loaded into servers with low pop and had it take longer than servers with med/full pop. Ive also seen slow loading on servers with less than 100ms while servers in EU at 250ms load in a minute or less. I think it really comes down to which servers are configured correctly, fully optimized, and exceed hardware req's.

One of the things that has slowly been "whined" out of games today is consequence. DayZ takes consequence and smacks you upside the head so hard your future kids will feel it for a week. That is what I love so much about this game!

I had this exact same problem and realized i was on a private server. Would be nice if only servers connected to the hive were listed.

Do I sense sarcasm? I hope so considering I only payed $24 where I can only assume you played $50+ when it was released hahaha! In any event, DayZ is totally worth the $24 bucks. I hope that a standalone is released, if its under the Minecraft type payment model you can have my money to alpha/beta test! The only thing I hope doesnt happen is when Arma3 comes out that Rocket doesnt stop working on DayZ using the Aram2 engine because I dont really want to buy another ArmA that I wont play. But in the end Ill have to do what ever I need to keep playing.

Curious then. I started a character and some servers would not allow me in due to a name restriction. So to fix this since Steam was what created my original profile I logged out, character still alive, created a new profile logged into a server and was asked male and female for the character.

Yes, just create a new character profile in the Arma2 menu

Monster always seems pretty nice around the boards so I dont want to call "her" out too much, but I am curious. Why do all supposed gamer chicks photo's: a) always look emo eske b ) always seem to have this "on the pc pic" where they are fully dressed to impress. I know I personally look like shit on the computer, dont you? c) always make that cute sideways glare look in their photo's? d) always attractive? I know tons and tons of gamer chicks, some are attractive but more in a natural way, but usually their finest quality is their personality which makes them beautiful. They definitely do not look like the next Suicide Girl pinup. Just sayin, this may or may not be you Monster.

Im still new but personally I wont spend alot of time with other players I dont actually know. Ive encounter several people, Ive even had them shoot Zeds off of me. But once we establish we are supposedly "friendly" I usually try and get away from them with exposing my back to them as little as possible. No point in trying to continue to loot in an area where someone has a gun or a better gun than me. If they dont have a gun then Ill try and loot but Im not skilled enough to try and play king of the mt right now.

Im taking the mostly friendly approach, though Im still getting the hang of the game and usually dont have any weapons anyways hahaha

Popped my DayZ cherry last night and I only got killed by a player once and probably because I pissed him off by bring a few zombies to his attention. The first encounter I had the survivor actually killed a zombie chasing me. I havent gone into the big cities yet as I understand that is where a lot of pvp happens, so I just dont get why people are having so much trouble. I get killed by Zeds way more than Bandits/KoS'ers

The only issue I see is the Shoot 2nd policy, you cant enforce anything if your getting KoS all the time. Rather you should change it to "Only Shoot with Probably Cause". So you just ask that your members explain their actions and if you feel they are not warranted they can face the consequences i.e. execution, removal from the clan
