I'm not sure if it's the server admin or a hacker on US 344, but they're teleporting to members and opening fire. From what I understand it IS the admin, but I'm unsure. The IGN of the player is Dr. Friendly, he is currently online on US 344 He keeps teleporting to our location. Edit: I believe there are two people. Dr. Friendly and Dr. Monk. I haven't seen anything suspicious from Dr. Monk, but Dr. Friendly was teleporting around and opening fire. Edit 2: After teleporting to us about 8 times and dying repeatedly (and barely injuring our group) he finally disconnected from the server. Dude isn't the admin, but I noticed the Admin was restarting the server an aweful lot T_T

First off, the first paragraph of your post pissed me off. You're trying to make yourself look superior by insulting everyone else's education level. Second, your theory is busted for a very simple reason: You're not interacting with people from the same mindset. Some are thinking of theirselves, others are thinking of their fellow survivors (like myself). I can personally say I have murdered several people that haven't even seen me or interacted with me. Why? Because I'm carrying two survivors that have no gear, and I'm the only one capable of protecting them. My reasoning is this: Other people are concerned about their gear, and improving their gear. Let me elaborate. Myself and two survivors are going to the airfield to gear themselves. They are completely unarmed. When we get to the airfield, there's already someone there. I spot them first. That gives me the chance to take them out without them hearing, seeing or being able to shoot at me or the other two unarmed survivors with me. I kill him. Scenario is -10. Same scenario, I see him, I don't kill him. I wait for him to loot and log. We've wasted our time completely, and we'll say my group gets a -5 or -10 since technically, we lost gear. Same scenario. I see him, I attempt to interact. He gets spooked because there's three of us, he fires and kills me. The two unarmed survivors can do nothing, so they die too. Wouldn't that be -30? All scenario's aside. Human reaction is to think of themselves or the people they're looking after. It's human nature, embedded in long lines of DNA that can't be changed. The way in which they handle the situation is based off of personal experience in my eyes. After let's say 30 years of being on earth, you learn that anyone is going to fuck you over if they reward is big enough. I guess I'm done now.

Dealing with troublesome snipers...

MWUAHAHA "You little fuckers." -
Point is the admin is likely to lose his 'right' to host a server. Friggin' carebears... play the game like everyone else and stop moping around because you got rocked. You completely deserve the fate you got, so shut up about it.

My thoughts exactly.

Wew, glad this hasn't happened to me. But one of my survivor friendly's headshotted me earlier if that counts! xD

I'm sure someone who visits the forum will eventually see this thread :) "Fee with entry" I plan to make one trade and leave the person in which I've traded with. I do not feel like expending resources (in-game or outside of it) to do a trade. --Still looking for someone who is available to do this trade.

At this point in the 'development' of our survivor group, we've ran into this huge issue of transportation. As we're still taking in new members, we have to run from one side of the map to the other to meet up with the rest of the group. We're in desperate need of transportation and that's one of the most difficult obstacles that I've ran across thus far. I've been looking for a while and attempting to find really ANY vehicle that holds more than two people at a time. I guess the question I'm asking is: Is there a 'technique' to finding a vehicle?

I was thinking that, I might take a look around ;3

Buddy of mine got multi-headshotted by a fully automatic m107. I think he said his blood was something like -450k?

We've got two folks in our group downed with broken legs. None of us have morphine and we're in pretty desperate need of it... We don't have a lot to give out, but we've got a spot in our group if you're interested. We're friendly until fired upon, so you shouldn't have much to worry about. I know the game is full of folks who deceive, but we seriously need some help if anyone is willing. PM me or post and I'll PM you. Thanks in advance.

Actually - we now have someone on their way. Sorry for double-posting for no reason.

Consistent 10-20 FPS in DayZ, but not in ArmA 2/OA
Tsyn replied to CanoGuy's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Ehh... I'm not sure how that would fuck up your Six Launcher -
Ended up running into some issues recently, and we've expended our very short supply of morphine. We've got two people in our group in a fairly secluded area that need morphine. We don't have a LOT to give out, but we would definitely appreciate the help. You can PM me and I will communicate our location and server through PM's, or you can contact us on our Teamspeak. Anyways, help would be very much appreciated.

No thanks, I appreciate your offer bud, but you seem a bit shady.

Still looking for someone to help if possible.

I've sent you a private message on the forums. Your help will be MUCH appreciated

[VIDEO] How to give somebody a heart attack

ROTFLMFAO! I. Love. You. -
Bad about the same experience the other day. Was headed to pick up two new recruits. Noticed two people standing near a campfire, one turned and shot so I killed them both. One of the guys that I was picking up was new to the group and needed some guns, the two people I killed had some fairly decent military rifles (M16 and M4A1 if I remember correctly). After picking the two new guys up, I decided it'd be a good idea to take them to the bodies so they could get some tools and weapons. We get to the bodies and start looting them, I move away a bit and this random guy shoots me twice with a shotgun, I turn and kill him as well. Broke my legs, but luckily the guy that broke my legs had some morphine on him! :D

So we were at the Balota airport, looking for a gun for our newest recruit when our four man group was approached by a survivor saying 'friendly' over the in-game VOIP. They surrounded him and the rest of our group met up and surrounded the survivor. The guy co-operated wonderfully, lowered his weapon, allowed me to check his bag and was easy-going. We decided talking at the airport wasn't a good idea, so the 7 of us moved into the nearby woods... All of a sudden, the server decided to restart. We've yet to locate the survivor again, so if you happen to read this, please send me a PM. The IGN of the survivor was Aaron. Server was US339 This was one of this group's most intense yet safest encounters yet. Welcome to DayZ Aaron ;)

You complain, but truth is, Cherno is a wasteland
Tsyn replied to chrismgtis's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I'm normally in Cherno at night anyways, so.... I don't see anyone, and if I do, it's because they tossed a flare. I normally avoid people at night because they can't see me (ghillie, grass, and darkness = invisivivor) Anyways, I'm not sure about Cherno, on some servers it's a warzone and on others it's just a waste of time. -
I've been calling out distances to my group of survivors like "We're 2kilometers from Stary Sobor", but those are completely false in my eyes. I might be fairly close, but I don't feel that I'm being accurate enough. I'm not concerned on how I communicate locations, but I'm really wanting to see a scale for the map of Chernarus. How many meters or kilometers is each small grid square on the map?

Sweet, thanks for the replies

Consistent 10-20 FPS in DayZ, but not in ArmA 2/OA
Tsyn replied to CanoGuy's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
There are several programs that may or may not help you, at the top of the list is ThrottleStop. This program will work wonders if your CPU is compatable. I suggest looking up some instructions of use before actually trying to use it. This can seriously overheat your rig depending on how you adjust the settings. GameBooster Is another helpful program that will close unused programs, adjust your windows aero scheme, and improve performance by quite a bit. ArmA 2 was made to run on a quad-core machine to my knowledge, but obviously not everyone has four cores of CPU to toss around games like ArmA. There's a startup parameter you can use to adjust the CPU's that the game should run on. This personally helped my FPS by quite a bit. To do it, you'll need to adjust your startup parameters in Six Launcher, or at the end of the shortcut you use to launch DayZ. The parameter will look something like -cpuCount=1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc. A full explanation is here: http://community.bis...meters#cpuCount. I highly suggest reading this and finding out how many cores you've got, then set it accordingly. Also, you can set your process affinity & priority. I normally only adjust the priority of the programs I run, but affinity is definately useful if you're running a lot of programs on your PC along with ArmA2. To set the priority, you'll need to start up Task Manager. You can do this by right-clicking your taskbar at the bottom and selecting 'Task Manager'. Using Ctrl+Alt+Del or Ctrl+Shift+Escape will also work. Once you have Task Manager open, you'll right-click on the running window of Arma 2, and click 'Go to Process'. This should give you arma2oa.exe. Right-click on that, click 'change priority' and select 'high'. If you select realtime, your process will most likely crash. Some other thoughts would be to use such programs as Tune-up Utilities Tune Up Utilities will fully optimize your computer for whatever you're doing (you will complete a configuration process which will determine what settings to change based on how you use your computer). Tune-up is somewhat expensive, but I'm sure you can look around and find an 'alternative'. Just some suggestions you should take to heart. Hope this helps :)
