Yea I've been comparing a lot of different components, but yesterday I made my choice and ordered this setup. It felt very good for the price I had to pay for it :) I don't render videos or photos at all (if Paint doesnt count ), so I guess I'll be ok with this one. And as the memory, I have 12gb of ddr3 memory already in my current pc so I'll just move them to the new one Thank you! :>

Thank you once again! You really seem to be into this kind of stuff, and I'm happy that you found this topic so I got some good tips :> I will let you know how it goes once I have the parts. Now the painful days of waiting begins.. :D
-
Yes I will make sure they'll be in the right slot when I'm changing the parts (Ordered them today, gonna take like 1 week or more I guess), with a help of someone who has done it before so I don't fuck it up :D That's exactly what I meant! And I guess I'm going to delete like every program and game and take only the most important files to the SSD. Then I just install the OS from the SSD and move the files to my HDD back, right? Thank you a lot, appreciate your help :)

I've got a new question also.. As Im getting an SSD where I will have to move the OS, do I need to empty this existing HDD I got, or are they usable if I leave them to my old HDD and just get the OS to the SSD? (+Some of the most important programs/games) And if I have to clear my HDD, is there any good backup program and/or a program that I would be able to clean my HDD easily.. It's got over 500gb of data, but I would say that 400gb of them are useless for me. A lot of games and shit that I've downloaded during the time I've had this computer. Thanks in advance :)

Yeah, I ran it and it said I would need 588W with the new set. And my amount of ram is actually weird, I've got 2x 2gb sticks and 2x 4gb sticks. I'm not even sure if they benefit from each other, or should all of them be of the same kind... Is it fine to run it as I have it now? thanks!

Thanks for the answers! :) I kind of forgot to mention that I've got the rest of the parts (HDD, Power supply unit, DVD drive) in my current pc. They are like 4 years old, but I guess those should be fine still? 650W psu, 1000gb hdd and just a regular DVD drive. A friend of mine has almost similar build (he has same processor, motherboard, and his gpu is some of the radeon 79xx series, cant remember the exact one) and he has had no problems yet, and is really satisfied with it. EDIT: And yeah forgot to tell that I have 12 gb of DDR3 memory, is it still viable for this new build?

Nice to hear, thanks! :>

Well, its mostly for gaming. All kinds of fps and mmo games (DayZ is the priority number one, of course =D) And thanks for the tips!:)

Yeah, well I was reading some reviews about siberian v2 headset and it got very good rating in almost every place I checked. Gotta think about that though. Nothing wrong with the looks in my opinion. Do you think it would be wise to buy some older parts of the same price or just go with these newer ones? I have no idea which way would be more cost/performance effective. And that GPU had -17% xmas price, but I think rest of the parts had no discounts.

So I've been looking through websites for new pc components, mostly GPU, CPU, an SSD memory and motherboard. Rest of my components should be fine, as I have 650 W power source and 1000gb hard drive. What I've found to be the best for my budget is this: Intel i5 4670K processor - 190€ Sapphire Radeon R9 280X 3gb ddr5 graphics card - 286€ MSI Z87-G41 motherboard - 95€ Kingston SSDNow V300 basic 120gb - 78€ Total of 650€ + I also need new headset, anyone got experience about steelseries siberia v2? Could get them for 70€. Would like to hear your opinions :) Thanks!

Bought the Dayz early access yesterday, played it 2 times and both times I had problems.. As soon as I got ingame it started lagging, like when I had run 100meters it just lagged and I got back to the place where I started. Also it froze a few times, sometimes it just continued after a little bit of waiting, other time I had to restart the game. I'm also having problems with graphics, the game seems to stutter and if I play a few minutes it really gives me headache. Any advice if some certain settings would help? Running low and very low settings, in the mod I could play with med/high settings. Could be that my computer is getting a little old (intel Q9550 CPU and nvidia gtx285 GPU), but not quite sure if its the only reason. And yeah about my question: Is there any servers (now, or in the future) that are 3rd person? I like it more because when I play in 1st person the graphics dont seem so good and fps might get lower.. and in long run it really hurts my eyes and head.. Thats for it now, thanks!

My detailed DayZ standalone report from Gamescom 2013
Mook replied to purepassion's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
Umm... lets take a simple example: You are sniping somewhere far away from your target, like 1km away, then you kill your target and the body rots in 1 minute... All loot wasted, no one gained anything. Not so clever I think. -

My eyes vote for 3rd person, brains vote for 1st person. If that only made any sense
