I'll leave the flaming to someone else for now... answering seriously Id say no... purely for the HIVE element, I dont think console servers would be able to work that way. Its a LOT of effort getting DayZ running on a PC server like its intended to be, let alone crossing it over to console. Also the controls would be a total clusterfuck... well actually they already are, but I dont imagine a console port being any better on that front. -

U mad bro? And yeah pics are needed, sure its got logs but do you honestly think the DayZ dev team have nothing better to do than go crawling through logs of every server? The logs are difficult to read at the best of times, and thats if you even know what youre looking for. -
Aparantly NZ servers are the hackers server of choice at the moment for some reason. Could always try that?

Doomsday is a great film, and this would be a brilliant addition to the game. SOMETHING needs to be done to keep vehicles inside the map! Id suggest if helis try and fly over the wall, give them a 30-60 second warning that if they dont turn back theyll be shot down by AA guns on the wall, just to give some leeway to people who accidentally stray over the boarder. -
Good idea, I like it. Dunno if its possible though, I cant see why not. I believe ArmA II ACE Mod already implements a more advanced medical system than vanilla ArmA/DayZ, perhaps something to take some ideas from?

Difficult to say, laptops arent ideal for gaming. That being said I run it fine on my laptop, my specs are similar to yours ecept with an i5 processor. If you go to this site - http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/ - you can check if your system meets the specs. Although dont trust it 100%, accordign to that site my laptop shouldnt be able to run ArmA II - but it runs it just fine as long as I dont have the settings on insanely high.

Cool story bro..? And the point of this is..? So you got all butthurt about getting shot (you wandered into someones camp... is it really a surprise you got shot?!) and decided to post up the co-ords of someones camp, bit of a dick move no? FYI its a duping camp. I got killed there a few days ago, found the camp in my Hilux, server restart and spawned me back in Elektro, I ran back and found the hilux... and the gang who own the camp, who gunned me down rather quick. So I went back when they werent on, the tents have like 10 of every high end gun in them, along with a metric fucktonne of NVGs, range finders and other gucci kit.

Nice idea, Im a bit of a sucker for a good plot in games (thats (one of) the main reason I hate the L4D series, no fecking plot at all), but for some reason DayZ is one of those few games what works well with no plot.

Look harder. Theres a limited number of vehicles per map, and they only respawn every 7 days after being destroyed, so chances are someones beaten you too them. Most organised teams spend hours searching and preparing to find vehicles.

Not 100% sure but I think you have to play for at least 1 hour a day to increase it.

No no no no no. Once more... for fuck sake NO. This idea has been suggested a million times and the answer is still no. Its a terrible idea because everyone would just pick soldier. Classes and playtypes do NOT belong in this game.

Vehicles outside of map get destoryed?

I believe they get deleted after 24hrs of inactivity. Personally I think its stupid, they should be deleted on server restart... there is NO reason whatsoever for being able to save vehicles outside the map. I mean whats to stop someone flying the heli 20km north of the map where nobody will ever find it, log back in just before the server restart and fly it back to the map, wiait for restart then fly back out again. :/ stupid. Should be bannable offense.. -
New Player Collection Service (Not currently up and running)

Its a good idea, but tends not to work really... Ive done it myself a few times, taken a bus downj to the coast and drove up and down the coast road picking people up. Most people either run away or just shoot at you. It works best at night, you can tell a freshly spawned new player from miles away, just look for the panicing flashlight :P They tend to be less inclined to shoot you or run away. -
How do vehicles,tents etc work crossserver

Hes not exactly sprinting across country is he? He takes like maybe a dozen sidesteps... and incase you hadnt noticed, you can do that in DayZ too... fail point is fail.

The night time is to do with the ArmA engine, not DayZ, whether this can be changed or not I dontk now... if all else fails just turn your brightness and gamma up - instant poor mans night vision. As for filling from taps... well who knows how long this zombie apocolypse has been going on, for all we know the mains water supply ran dry/broke down/got polluted years ago.
