I got the point, I thought it would be cool. Guess no one is interested in my idea :(

I know about pressing W twice on hold it, but it looks as fast as running to me. I mean something far more faster than that to implent it in game with some real sprint animation like 100 metre-dash at Olympics. Something which you actually need to put some effort in which is actually exhausting to do in game like sprinting in real life and not just holding a button which is too easy. Putting some extra effort in game should be rewarded, in this case faster movement for the price of exhausting middlefinger. Doing it not good enough (not tapping fast enough) should be punished by chance to trip and fall on ground. You think twice before you sprint because of the trip punishment for not doing it good enough and you will use it only when you really needed, so you try not to fatigue your middlefinger because of this. When a bandit is chasing a victim with an axe with both players on foot for example it should be like in real life that the one with greater stamina should win. Not endless running what it now kinda is, because both players run as fast as eachother by simply holding a button. If you're too lazy to sprint you can ofcourse just hold shift to run like how it now is in DayZ. The sprint I describe is just optional to use.

I just play DayZ recently and I really love this mod, excellent stuff. What would love to see in DayZ is ability to sprint, because Chernarus is so big and there's lots of walking. Running is good, but able to move faster on foot would be nicer like sprinting. My idea would be like this on default controls: Hold left-shift button and rapidly tab W button (at least 4 presses per seconds) to sprint. If you press W button too slow you have a chance to trip and fall on ground which is bad ofcourse when someone chases you. Believe me, tapping W button (at least 4 taps per second) while holding left-shift is very exhausting after a few minutes. So you probably sprint like in real life only if you really really need to and if you have killer stamina probably more often for faster transport on foot. If this feature is in I will train my middlefinger to build up killer stamina to sprint through Chernarus for hours, seriously. I would also challenge my friends who run the fastest from Cherno to Elektro!
