So, although I have combined ops on Steam, I still need Arma2?!

I would mention, when trying to connect to any normal non - DayZ server, I ALWAYS get Wait For Host which is very annoying as I want to play some RPG too =[ Edit - The reason for this is due to my game being 1.61 as all the DayZ servers are. However my mate can play normal servers and also DayZ servers flawlessly :s

How did I solve the issue? Uninstall Arma OA - > Delete ANY contents of the OA folder. Next you want to restart your PC/Laptop and then reinstall OA (Note I have the STEAM OA). Once installed actually run the game and load up a map. Next, I closed down the game. Went into my ARMA2 install directory and copied the AddOns folder into the root of the OA install. I then ran the latest Patch, which this time got to 3% and then finished which IS CORRECT! Now, I launched six launcher and installed DayZ, then I updated the Battleeye server and client in all of my Arma installs and even in your appdata folder in your user (Windows). I then launched DayZ, clicked on Quick Match and it worked! I've still not tried any normal servers yet, but I must say DayZ runs beautiful! Amazing FPS (Server dependant).

Not sure with normal arma servers will work tho, such as Takistan Life

Using retail Arma2 and Steam OA. I have fresh installed OA as don't have the disk for Arma anymore. Since this, I have launched the Six Launcher and attempted to run it but get that error. I've manually done the patch and the Battleeye.dll but no luck.

just reinstalled and launched six launcher and the first thing I get is CA Dubbing counter -.-

Anyone any close to solving this guys? Getting frustrating. Maybe release a whole overhaul, maybe even a complete installer for Six Launcher that will install everything.

I've tried everything now. I manage to get the game into a working state again, however the moment I install DayZ and try and play that FUCK ME does it go crazy. Every other server will say Waiting for Host. DayZ will just break!

Apparently, I don't have an Arma2 install?! I so do WTF

I've tried that mlinton. However, it still hasn't worked. just got ARMA OA working via steam now, so will try some fresh installs of this mod.

I updated the game itself, then I got the DirectX issue. I am going to give up. I cannot do a fresh install due to not having the CD anymore. I've done the guide 3 times, updated Direct X, the Game, the Beta and still nothing back at the ca_dubbing_counterattack error.

Just deleted the beta folder, following the guide again and now when I try to reinstall it, both normal and as admin I get wrong CD key error, it proceeds to install but it doesn't.

I am having this very same issue! It even happens when loading OA via steam on single player.
